  1. If you have put all the susp in then dont forget to get the ride heights (corner weighting) and wheel alignment correct before you go chasing handling
  2. what sized tyre on the 17x9s? 245?
  3. I have for sale a set of gold Gram Light 57Pros. As you can see in the picture they are used but excellent condition They are for sale as gold wheels should never be used on a silver R32 . Makes the car look like a late 90s WRX Sizes are 17 x 8 +30 offset fronts, and 17 x 9, +35 rear Located in Melbourne. Asking $2450 ono
  4. Good work Andrew...any footage? New tyres or old? I think once you, Ant and Ferni drop below the 49s thats it for me for having anyone i can play with
  5. Yeh, lots of cage bulders space them out so as not to have a concentration of heat afected zones and loads all concentrated in one place
  6. Isnt your R32 an NA? Seriously, big brakes would make your car slower! If you have a stripped NA car it will be easy to get under 1100kgs, combined with only 200hp i would be thinking long and hard about putting an extra 25kgs in your car for brakes....especially at the price of brakes.
  7. All is good. Back in India now....all seems ok. Heightened security everywhere but dont feel unsafe. Way too much of this stupidity going on around the world these days
  8. My car doesnt really make enough boost in 1st gear to spin the tyres. This is on a slippery skid pan and you can see it doesnt exactly fry tyres. I only leave th eline at about 4,0000rpm with little clutch slippage so to try and get some life out of the clutch and gearbox http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=axjx18jAQ4g&...feature=channel But you can see, its not that crazy when it hits....thats about the same sort of launch i did for the 12.9 so with a bit less respect for the drivetrain could probably get it off the line better. Rear end alignment make a big difference to power down
  9. Not sure its warranted when its occassionally a track car using street tyres and basic suspension tuning. But its your car so its important that its built to your liking
  10. Sounds like an interesting project. But an important thing to remember is that the GpA cars were compromised by rules and regulations. If you are going to build up your GTR then i think you are best to just use the modern parts and build a neat car like many of the guys on SAU already own. Short of going crazy in the stripping and caging of the car...then there isnt much else GpA you would be doing to your car. Especially if you are only looking at using Whiteline based suspension. Go a basic turbo upgrade. Get a good gearbox, beef up the brakes and suspension and spend some time on cooling and you have your all round performer...after all that is the strength of the GTR On a side note there are street GTRs in Vic that are quicker then the Gibson cars, and they run RE55s, not slicks and have air con and full interiors
  11. Since that has NSW plates i am betting its my mates car. He jsut had it up at auction at Shannons so i guess it sold Was a fun car.
  12. Did i read somewhere you have a line on these tyres? Are they available in 40 series or 245/255 etc?
  13. If you are going 3071 you should still be around 230-240rwkws which will make for a quick/fun car. Is it quicker then late model V8s? Who knows. My best time at the strip was with 14psi (approx 220rwkws) as at the time my std coils introduced a miss with any more boost. At the time i couldnt launch a car to save me (actually, that is still true) i have run a 12.9 @113mph with a 2.2 60 ft time. Get that to a 2.0sec 60ft time and better shifts with your sort of power you should be able to run 12.5 or better. So the question is will a late model V8 do a 12.5 or better? Plenty probably can but the way the little 20 with a 3071 will deliver its power it will feel plenty quick and be fun to drive...unless you want to spend major money that has to be enough if the rest of your car is sorted then 230-250rwkws in an R32 can do quite a lot
  14. They are a nice wheel but i have too many sets of wheels and now that i have the ones that clear the brakes i run i dont need any more wheels
  15. I suggest you grab a tape measure and remeasure the disc diameter. You said 370mm in the original post, which is an out of this world ask for a 17" rim
  16. Hey, Webbers motivation shoudl be top shelf this year. I mean the 8-10 weeks out of the car willo only focus him and make him eager to get back in the seat. Physically he may miss some conditioning from the off season testing but psychologically i think the break will be great for him. He will ome back mentally fresh and will have a team mate ready to push him and drive him. Hopefully he is up to the challenge. If so then he will reap the rewards, if not then he will have to be content with knowing that he has had a good run, driven for Williams and has upset the apple kart on accassion
  17. Cool pictures. I am working in India at the moment and get 4 day weekends at the end of every month where i get to go for a roam to wherever i like. Whats the calender of upcomign events? I wouldnt mind dropping over to Dubai, catching a beer and motorsport

    Top Gear

I have been watching the Aus version and i dont think its too bad. The only problem is the test track sux and they dont do the shootout justice
  19. Everytimne i see Sam's car it makes me want to completely strip my car and prepare it as a track car...lol but i live in an apartment, dont have a clue or money and dont have the patience
  20. Where are they racing this weekend? Did Kelly/Perkins win on merit or was it a crime of opportunity?
  21. Based on how quick it is going and your statement of the cleanest GTR (White) then i am guessing its Sam Markovs car. It is an absolute credit to the guy, sicne he screwed it together in his workshop in Albury
  22. Looking to sell some bits off my car HKS Type S Intercooler Off an R32 GTSt. The cooler is about 6 years old and has a small dent in the bottom and a few minor bends to the fins. I would describe the condition as good. Once off the car will provide better pics. The cooler comes with the piping to/from the intercooler to the inner guards. Asking $650 for cooler and piping HKS Hyper 80mm exhaust Cat back exhaust. Is about 6 years old with about 80,000kms on it. Mufflers still in good condition with no corrosion in the baffles/muffler. Exhaust flows 260rwkws on my car no problem. I have not really polished the muffler so tip is dull, but a bit of housekeeping will fix that up. The muffler has a few small scrathces, but is free of major dents or damage Asking $600
  23. India is HOT!
  24. OOps, i hope the Webz accident isnt serious. A broken leg is fine. I hope there isnt anythiing long term or anything that will keep him from winter testing
