  2. Drop the weight, go much, much deeper. The safety bars beside you are far too high. Try doing box squats to build your confidence in depth.

  5. What? You're saying burning your skin is not unhealthy, even with cancer taken out of the equation? You might as well say sticking your hand in boiling water is safe because if you pull it out quick enough it won't do permanent damage. I was definitely not only refering to cancer. The answer is not sunblock either, because one of my questions was would sunblock prevent me from tanning. IMO the number of deaths is irrelevant. You could just fry day in day out and get your skin throughly checked by a GP every few months and properly be safer than your average joe. Just because the cancer doesn't kill doesn't mean prevention is cheap or treatment pleasant. I'm sure a lot of those people who died of other causes had skin cancer at some point in their life or was suffering from it but died via other means before the cancer could get them.

  7. Can I enter in a Daihatsu Terios? It's designed extra narrow so it can fit down certain streets in Japan, combine that with its high center of mass and it'll be great on the skidpan! Lets not forget the 65kw at the fly + AWD for some limiter launches!

  9. lol I'm not that big yet. The bigger the muscles involved the more rest you need, unless you're purposely fatiguing yourself. Typically squat and deadlift the longest I wait is 2 and half minutes.
  10. Also you should add DECAs to your routine, once every three months should do it.
  11. I don't think its so much to do with the new flavour (I never had the old) just that our bodies associate it with our minor addiction, at least my minor addiction anyway. I've never smoked (apart from trying a couple), but I assume ciggarettes taste great to smoker.

  13. You bench is actually pretty decent. Most guys that train can't do 70kg for 10 x 3. Maybe try a gym for week and give their racks a go? At the very least it will give you an idea of what you want from your rack. I know a lot of gym offer one week free trial. My mate actually went about 2 months training using only free trials at different gyms.
  14. I still have a minor addiction to Mother, even though I don't drink it any more unless I have an assignment due the next day. I remember when I first had Mother it tasted ok, but lets face it, I wasn't drinking it for the taste. Now Mother is the most god damn awesome tasting thing on the planet. There is no drink out that comes close to how good it tastes.

  16. I hate the ocean, love to swim in pools though. I just dislike the salt, sand and have an irrational fear of jellyfish, sharks and stingrays. Hell, I don't even like crabs.
  17. Had a really bad two weeks, been sick and the heat has ruined my appetite. I've dropped a kilo. Goal for this coming week is to get my diet back onto track.
  18. It is a strength program, but I eat for size too.
  19. At the moment my starting working sets are 1 reps. You warm up to the work sets, then do 2-3 heavy 1 rep working sets say; 15kg-10kg-5kg lighter than your max. Then one, sometimes two big heavy lifts (usually a PB) followed by a 3-5 rep cool off set. Afterwards you do like 3-4 assistance excercises which you do 3 sets till failure, usually 5-10reps depending on the lift. It's the Progessive Poundage Program develeoped by PTC. Works wonders.
  20. I dunno. I'm currently focusing on very low rep (trying to improve my 1RM) stuff at the moment. I know what I can and can't lift, if I can make one more rep or not, no amount of "focus" (still not sure what you mean here) is going to grant me any additional strength. I don't disbelieve that the stuff can make you feel better, feel more energized, but when you get right down to actually lifting more, I can't see it actually helping me. tbh its usually when I feel like shit and expect a horrible workout that I surprise myself and do my best. I also really dislike something that over time will make me feel like shit if I don't take it.

  23. It definitely is. I know that 200 years ago you were considered more attractive if you were pale and fat, as it was a sign of wealth. Obviously because almost everyone laboured outdoors.
  24. Hey guys, Those you who know me know I'm a pasty pale geek who gets most of his tan from his computer monitor. However this Summer I'm looking to get some colour (I'm not trying to change ethinicity). My question is, how? I do not want to burn myself to a crisp, its unhealthy and painful. So should I just head out in the sun topless for 30min per day, or am I better off going out with sunscreen for several hours? How effective is sunscreen at blocking a tan? Am I better going out at 12-2pm, or later in the afternoon when the sun is less harsh? Thanks guys.
