  1. Scored me a nice set of RE01Rs today. Need another set.....Bumpo.
  2. Bump for those that see in the dark.
  3. Another PM replied.
  4. Prolly not what I'm looking for. Anyone else?
  5. Nothin' out there?
  6. Pics up. Tyre not included. All have centre caps.
  7. Yeah I've since found out they're 9.5, not 9. Sorry for the bum steer. They are +22 so should be right. 275/35 will give a drive ratio change of 2.9% and 265/35 will make a 1.8% change. If there is such a thing as a 255/35 then that is almost an exact match for rolling diameter and drive ratio compared with the original 16" rim fitment. Then throw into the mix that R spec tyres are 'bigger' than the size nominated and it all gets a bit hard to work out. I guess the R spec 255 would be the way to go....? Then they have to fit the guards etc. I'm confident I can make it work but the right tyre selection will be important. I'm pretty sure I'll have to sell the 275s.......
  8. Guys, I hardly drive enough miles to justify the cost of new quality rubber of this size. So, who has some second handers that are a quality tyre, 50%+, and are in overall good condition? e.g. no flat spots, no sidewall damage, no camber wear, not too old etc. Be interested in hearing from you. Cheers.
  9. Know the feeling
  10. As per the title, none.
  11. Pics later, but you know what they look like. These rims are straight and sound, but need a tart up. They have gutter rash and need a paint, unless you want a set of cheap, light, forged track rims and you don't care. They have centre caps. Rash and paint will cost approx $100 per corner (I'll get a formal quote if it goes that way) and I can recommend a place where this can be done with excellent results (they come out looking factory new with the colour EXACTLY matched). Happy to get the work done for you if you pay $400 as a deposit and we add that to the final buying price. Rims are 18 x 9 +30 and will fit R32/33/34 GTR and many more I'm sure. $1,600 and located in SE subs of Melbourne. Can post at your expense. Most addresses will be around $120. Cheers.
  12. No not sure. I queried that too and was told they were def. 9". They are on a container and I'm negotiating putting a deposit on them subject to an inspection, at which point I'll find out what they really are.........You know what it's like, the vendor has a Jap spotter, takes some details and photos, loads a container and it turns up some months later. Easy to lose half an inch in that process. Still you'd reckon they know their rims if that's what they sell......Generally I'm rarely overwhelmed with peoples' competence when buying things so frankly I'd not be surprised there is an error. http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/cgi-bin/cgi2/s...?modelName=TE37 Would suggest that they are 9.5" (as you say) which is OK but means different things for my multiple rim scenarios......
  13. Well, they are those and also some TE37 which are 18 x 9 +22, so I guess same drama less 2mm there! I'll have to be careful about tyre selection as I want all three rims to fit the car and do not want to have to change susp. settings every time I do!......Wheels to my car are a little like handbags are to a chick's outfit......Accesorise darlink! Yeah, the LMs are great. Gun metal would look supurb......Maybe I'll strip and refurb them one day....Perhaps a colour change then.....
  14. Yeah I actually had to back the castor off its ideal setting as the R spec 245s were too friendly with the liners (still got them in there). Behind the LHS liner are oil cooler lines. Tyre catches liner, tears it out, tears the lines out that are zip tied to the guard liner and there goes the engine oil and the engine!! Not a good result... Really the question is how much bigger (if at all) than RE55 245/40 are the RE01R 275/35. If they're much bigger they'll have to go, and the constant game of buying and selling goes on....
  15. PM me your mobile and I'll call you. I've got a set that will be for sale soon.
  16. Thanks Paul. The rear wheel gives the best view. The sidewall sits pretty straight, so it do-able but I think too baggy from a performance point of view. I guess seeing as these tyres will be my 'road' set a bit of bagginess won't kill me. I would be concerned that they rub on full lock as with the castor and camber I'm running the 245/40 RE55s on the car now just catch the guard liner. I guess that means no tank slappers or tight three point turns!
  17. Yeah, my thoughts too, but they are RE01Rs and they come on a sweet set of rims. Just be a shame to get them and then have to flog (at no doubt a 'loss') the tyres and then shell out for new. LOL as when is anything to do with a GTR not a loss!? I guess 275/35 RE01Rs with 50% should be attractive for someone with 10"+ on 33s and 34s.........
  18. I'm happy with the rims as they are 18 x 9 +22, but the tyres that come with them are 275/35 which sound a little too wide for a) the rim and b) the car. I've curently got 245/45 RE55 which are 'large for their nominated size' on 18 x 9 +30 R34GTR rims and they fit well. Thoughts on the 275 fitting the 9" rim and then fitting the guards of the little old R32GTR...?
  19. I've got a set of second hand rims coming with light gutter rash. The design of the rim is such that the lip can easiy be machined. That's the easy bit. The finish of the rim is bronze anodised and I'm not sure what (if any) treatments can be done to the lip once its machined, to match the finish of the rim. I guess some sort of paint match is possible?, or just have a natural colour aluminium lip (not my preferred option). Has anyone gone down this road and if so what did you do and where in Melbourne did you get the work done? Gutter rash must go. Thanks. EDIT. Mods please move to Cosmetic section. Sorry.
  20. I got a Panasonic Digi Camera DMC FX36 which has a HD vid function and with a 16GB high speed card has heaps of memory. It's pocket sized, great quality, you get a free still camera with it! with a Leica lens (no joke in a lot of applications this gives my DSLR a very good run for its money). Biggest limitation is sound, which is important, and I don't think you can hook up an external mike either. Just a thought.
  21. Duncan, Khumo whats? For track application? Be interested to hear.
  22. Brian looks at George. George looks at Brian...Hmmmmmm.
