  1. OK, I was at Sandown this afternoon / evening at about 5 and the same two R35 GTRs drove out of the complex. We were bleeding they weren't there for the evening track session. also saw the silver one in Dandy South on Quality Drive next to Nissan Australia.
  2. Personally, if I were Nissan I'd be hoping this is a really crap photo and it cuts up a lot prettier in the flesh. It's terrible IMO. The kit could be what's killing it. Looks like the naive design coming out of Korea 10 years ago. Terrible.

  5. Someday, someone will come into my life with some hot rims in the right size colour offset........and price. BUUUUMMMMPPPP.
  6. Should I sell the brakes that came off the car? As time has gone by in my GTR journey, I've come to realise I'm crap at predicting where it will go......It always goes further than I think. So, keep the brakes to put back on when / if I get another car and sell the current, or to turn the current 'back to original'? She's pretty clean so this could be of value to someone in the future (though prices now are nearing scrap value) OR, just flog em. They'll just rust up, take up space, you'll never have them back on, better to have the money in the bank etc etc I guess their value may have a bearing. New RDA rotors, braided lines, 90% QFM K750 and DS2500 pads (full sets), calipers, brackets, bolts etc. Anyone got a view on what they're worth?
  7. LOL, so long as it's not true. I think the +12 is the killer. +22 is what I need, or 9.5 will stick out too far. Reckon I spoke with you a couple of weeks ago. Danny?
  8. I hear Ben at Racepace is the Stig!
  9. 9 pages later here they are. Funily enough I'm more excited about how they look than feel right now. Pedal is slightly softer than was (probably more piston area with the 4 pot rears) but they seem to work great on light and medium application. No sqeal so far.......Obviously not had the chance to stand on them from high speed so news on that is TBC. I feel like a kid who had too much cake at the party. Over-indulged, but completely satisfied......
  10. AP 4 pot calipers. About 65-70mm from the face of the rotor to inside of spoke.
  11. Thanks for the assistance. There is also a lot less popping on the over-run, and I'll bet less flamage too........It kind of seems tame now, but at least it's making powah again.
  12. Plugs have been gapped to a poofteenth less than 0.8mm. That and the coilpacks have sorted the misfire. Phew.

    A Duck

    I think not.
  14. I get massive flames on redline gear changes. I run a lot of boost and no doubt my tuner has thrown a shitload of fuel in there too. I've got a brand new high flow cat and full 3" SS system (no dumps sadly). With a hot exhaust is pops and crackles away. I'm told there are several little flames visible on dusk / night driving in less than flat out conditions. It's so much part of the driving experience I'd hate not to have it. My car is strictly a non daily driver. I piss myself everytime it does it. Worth the fine I say (what is the fine?...... )
  15. What are your fluid temps doing at the end of all of that?
  16. Yeah, all roads are leading to 0.8mm. My mechanic (not tuner) is saying defo 0.8mm
  17. OK, well for better or worse I've got new coilpacks going in as well as plugs. With new plugs, I'd expect that the 1.1mm gap will be fine given that on old coilpacks and new plugs (around 2 years and 10,000kms ago) it all ran fine. Cheers.
  18. Thanks Abu. Those plugs are the ones my tuner put in the old girl when I did a full rebuild. I'm not knowledeable enough to second guess his choice so I'm going straight back for what he used originally, unless there is something better on the market now (twas a couple of years ago). You seem to be pursuing the idea that a 0.8mm gap is preferable to the 1.1mm on the plugs I've got now? Is that ture? Any reason why?

  21. BCPR7-11 ngk I've just found out these are the plugs currently in the car which I would intend replacing like for like. Still 0.8mm gap?
  22. Ok, I've found some info but not all I need. I'm running a fair bit of boost (1.5 bar) and will shortly have new coils, which are being replaced due to a misfire. It has a roughish idle so whilst we're in there may as well flip the plugs over. So to the question, how should they be gapped before they get thrown? Thanks.
  23. I can get hold of an R34 GTR rim which will do the job but was wondering if someone had something cheap(er) laying around that might do the job. Can you let me know if you have anything. Really has to be Vic so I can trial fit. The less width and diameter, whilst still fitting, the better. Less intrusion into the boot space you see. Will need a roadworthy tire that can do 100km/h. Cheers.
