Matt black is like primer Haha! And it can leave a lot of marks / stains everywhere as I saw a KE70 in Matt Black and it was a pig of a thing Satin is better IMO.

^^ As long as it is a high flow one. APex'i / HKS / K&N they all do the job. You can clean the filter with the K&N Cleaner Kit. Unless you want to spend an extra $100+ each service buying a new filter... Apply the cleaning solution to the filter and let it soak for 10mins. Hose of with tap water and let it sit and dry in the sun. You might even want to flick the filter to get rid of some excess water to speed up drying time. K&N Cleaner Kit also give you an oil spray, no need to use it, but if you do, just a light spray only to catch excess particles. DR/FT brand?! = Get the fuck out!

Satin Black and if you are going ahead with it, make sure you get a decent ride height (lower it) / fitment and offset of wheels to fill out your guards. Make it look tuff! Don't half ass the job, cuz R34's can pull off the Satin Black. White is the backup plan if Satin Black doesn't go through.

Over done cuz everyone thought it was a good idea to paint it on a Toyota Prius / Mazda MX5 (which I have seen) or any other car out there. Some cars can pull it off not all. Drift cars look good with it. But only the Silvia / 180SX / R32 GTS-T. You can pull it off on a R34 GTR / R35 GTR. Lamborghini Gallardo / Ferrari 430 Scuderia / Porsche 964 / Aston Martin DB9 will look good in it as it has been done before. Certain USA Muscle Cars can also pull it off, but not all. 1969 Camaro / Old School Hot Rods and Shelby Mustangs just to name a few. It is a nice colour for a change, but when ppl catch on to it and think it is awesome for every car out there, that sells out the colour, which sucks! A tough colour too, so when you have all that "Show" of a paint job, you should also have the "Go" in performance to go with it. That's how I see it anyway.

If you do get the paint job go Matt / Satin Black. Would look tuff! Top Secret Gold is a little wank if it ain't a Top Secret Tuned car IMO.

What Craved said, strip the paint, then metal polish the intercooler. Unless your paint is already stripped, just clean the surface and metal polish it up.

Mine is a '90 model and did not have to have it. It was under a compliance law (at the time in 2005) '89 and '90 models did not need it be we needed a rear parcel shelf brake light.

LOL! @ AE86DC. WOW! For once a decent Z31, I would have mistaken it as a 180SX. But take a closer look at the rear quarters, the Targer Roof and the rear pic of the tail lights... It's Z31. Fuck that is good, not like the shit you see here in AUS or more so I am yet to see a decent one in AUS.
