Stick with the -5's.
The 2.8 will help with the spool of the -5's.
I have seen a few RB28 with -5's and that seems to be the nice setup.
Are you going for the HKS V-Cam 2.8lt?
Nice! E46? E92? Yeah GTR is going well, Racepace just rebuilt it. Hence why I recommend them, as there have been a few R35 GTR's that get work done there. Gotta love that raw R32 GTR feel
^^ That is clean as! For rare / nostalgia / originality and if you got deep pockets then yeah, go for the KPGC10. But for $200K, that's R35 GTR Money and over... For Super Car Performance, I'd take the R35 GTR.
165 - 175 is very healthy! 160 is good. 155 is average for a 20 year old engine. Anything below = "Engine is getting tired", which is expected for a 20 year old engine... But if seller says it has new Piston Rings and along with a few other internals, the compression should be nice and high.
How long ago was the engine build done? Best take a mechanic to check it out or get a reputable garage in Melbourne (who know GTR's) to check it out. But if all the paper work adds up and matches the car, then should be all good to go. Also many will ask the seller to do a compression test and that will also help determine the condition of the engine.
Ad says it has done 95,200 km's but engine has done 4,500 km's... Then it says, "Car is standard except for upgraded turbos (dash 7's), adjustable cam gears, R33 GTR front pipe." Engine build?
