  1. 1+ Chinese laundry
  2. Duncan and I have both had engine rebuilds done with hills motor-sport, Duncan more then myself - mine is still going 20k+ strong, never missed a beat - there are plenty of people who think they know what they are talking about with hills motor-sport but there is ALWAYS 2 sides to a story so if you want the opinion of a constant happy customer of hills instead of some once of disgruntled opinion talk to Duncan or myself. Everyone has there own opinion, which they are of cause in titled to, but there are plenty of people on here that just jump on the band wagon without any 1st hand experience. so 1+ for hills motor-sport, been dealing with them for 2years+ with my R34 and have always been looked after price and quality wise. I'm starting to get sick of people give this shop shit because of one bad experience and then one friend who had a bad experience. what about all the good experiences? every shop has there disgruntled customer, there is a reason why that place is full of cars, they must be doing something right.
  3. hahah love it
  4. yea, thread should be called "anyone got a car trailer?" i know of a few people on here that do, throw a little cash there way and your back on track. btw you dont have ANY friends who know how to drive a manual? Thats got to be beating the odds.
  5. ahhh that is stealth i might have been coming back from getting new back tyres put in
  6. there is no way that can hold up in court. alibi alibi alibi of both you and your car.
  7. Its not looking good for your mate, my mum accidentally merged into a Lexus 4WD but she realized half way through and pulled out luckily before she collected him completely of the side of the road, the contact between the 2 cars was literally one side of the door lightly pressing against the other, i got out of the car and had a look there was no damage on our car the door trim had just flexed but on the Lexus there was a little mark where the trim had unsettled the paint work, about the size of a pea. Now unlike your friend, my mum does have her license and is insured so it was all good, but i told the guy that for something this small dont bother getting insurance involved we will pay it out right (thinking it would only be 200 bucks for a door respray at the most since this damage was superficial) the reason I'm telling you this is because that little paint mark cost $3,500 for something that didn't even hit the base coat of paint. So we just went through insurance and they checked it out and paid for. Done Now I'm pretty sure BMW is going to be a little tiny bit more expensive then Lexus parts so unless your mate does rock up to this guys door with all the cash, hes going to be rooted by the courts.
  8. i recon this is neet as - just took my steering wheel off to straighten it up because the bloody mechanic didn't put it on straight and i put it all back together and that light just started flashing, came on the forum and did this trick and walla all fixed i have an R34 98'
  9. I'm sure you aware of the p-plate law...hence why N/A's are now predominantly owned my us p platers - but yea it is a tad waste of money, but im planing on turbocharging this car so its all good in the end. 1+ on the engine management.
  10. it looks like the window is down?
  11. Weight Reduction is important, but dont really want to sacrifice some of the more basic comforts of the car whilst I'm on the street, but for track i empty the whole thing Hmm a ECU might be the way to go, and maybe fix up my intake a little more.... Good point with the Gear ratio's GTT vs GT box... i also have a S15 Differential in the car...so not sure where that leaves we with the final drive ratio :S It is an auto conversion, but i forgot to mention i have a S15 diff....so the gear ratios are changed once again.... and acceleration isn't a problem down low, its up top where i think you are right, the Turbo box is designed to have more HP to push it through the top end, where as an N/A is struggling to keep going top end as it is...hmm i also have splitfire's so ignition isnt a problem but as you said it could be a magnitude of things. Might have to start building a list of the most likely things....
  12. Just spotted MADGTR's White R34 - i was waving and everything and you just drove right past, rude
  13. *checks pockets*......nope! nice spot man, glad to see some people with there eyes open
  14. Hey guys, I raced my mate a while back at a track day and we both have R34 non turbo's...off the line i beat him on the launch and 1st gear i pull away easy for some reason, but as soon as I'm finishing up with 2nd and into 3rd he starts overtaking me after I'm already in the lead by a car length? and this happens consistently. So my question is, why? and how can i improve my top end without sacrifice my already quicker bottom end? My car's mods: -K&N Panel Air filter -Stock air box with direct piping from throttle body to AFM. -extractors and 2.5inch Cat-back - i have a slight leak in my exhaust, i need to replace the gasket between the rear muffler and the cat-back. (<- could that contribute at all? i have found that my car struggles hard without back pressure, like any car i guess.) - i have a GTT 5spd Gearbox (not the standard non -turbo box) His Mods: -Pod filter (contribute to top end?) -stock exhaust with a after market muffler/cannon -stock manual So it makes sense that my mods are helping my bottom end....but something is taking away my top end? any help would be much appreciated p.s since we dont go to that many track days i cant really play around with mods and then race him on a regular basis so that's why i need some theory help
  15. Hey guys, Can someone please help me with some detailed instructions on how to remove an R34 steering wheel safely (since i dont particualy want to set my airbag off) - I had a look myself and i dont really want to start probing around without knowing exactly what im doing. Thanx for any help p.s i did search and i couldnt find anything....
  16. i might take you up on that offer dave! where abouts do you live?
  17. Green P-plates with a NISMO sticker on the windscreen?
  18. Thanx alot guys, gives me something to think about. Wow that carbon fiber material one looks great...wouldn't mind giving that a crack
  19. Hey guys, I'm sure some of you are aware of the crappy plastic that nissan decided to use for the Gear stick, radio and A/C surround (well for R34's anyway). When in heat it gets all sticky and usually marks very easily, well my gear stick surround is in terrible shape and i would like to change it and whilst I'm at it i want to change all the surround around my AC and Radio unit. I checked Just Jap and i used Google and i have used the search function in SAU and i cant find anything (and i swear i have been told by someone that you can buy interior stuff like this off just jap ) - Im not after second hand, Im after after market stuff that is new, I'm not particular a fan of the carbon fibre look unless you go all out but at the moment Im happy with anything. Thanx for any help guys.
