  4. good stuff, 36 bucks isnt too bad either you remembered to heat the oil to running temperature before sampling it? Where did u take your sample from?

  10. i got a few valley cover bolts, i think theres a couple missing though PM me if ur interested
  11. looks really nice man, good luck with the sale... i reckon its well worth the 45grand
  12. lol 300rwkw with -5s we'll go for a 12 second flat 1/4 alot of variables... and this still isnt the right thread
  13. You can still have some oil in the sump and not have it picked up... For example, the engine is operating at high rpm like in this instance.. some of the oil in the head and is unable to drain back quick enough The oil that is left in the sump is subject to G forces and is being pushed up against the rear of the sump.. It is entirely possible for the pickup to not be getting enough oil to supply the engine
  14. ok your not against what i said, is still dont find it coincidental that he has more then likely spun a bearing after a 0-180km run Im sure when nissan did their tests on the RB26 it wasnt on an engine with 355rwhp, the stock sump works fine for a stock car but when the engine is making more then 100hp over factory specs then reliablity starts to decrease and things do go wrong anyway... i know of a few people that run 6L in their GTR's...GTRSEAN has figured it out that 6L is low enough to prevent the crank whipping through the oil in the sump
  15. generally people put the extra oil in to get the sump up to 6L, because yes oil starvation is a common problem when pulling some decent G'samong other things
  16. Did i say that the head flooded with oil? how would the head flood with oil if the oil pick up isnt picking any up If you are pulling hard G's for an exteneded period of time, which is entirly possible in a GTR that performs a hard launch then is full throttle all the way to 180kms, then you can starve the engine of oil as the oil is not near the pick up... insane?.. i think not
  17. id say the luanch then full throttle all the way to 180 is pretty much a give away that the cause of the problem was oil starvation What i wanna know is -what power are u running? -what engine mods do u have and do u run a baffle or modified sump? -do you overfill your sump?
