  1. I'll be there... I replied with "attending' on FB....
  2. Welcome! 34 is an awesome car and you will enjoy!!
  3. Starting to think that will be the option, but it will be a year or so before i can save for that!! So will have to persevere with it for now....
  4. Enjoy it guys! Still no car, so no cruise with ya's REALLY hope this happens again next year........
  5. Was having a shit day until i saw this!! Awesome video!!
  6. If expense is not an issue then spend the money and do it all properly. I have a pretty similar setup to what you are talking about (Assuming high mount) and it looks pretty good, BUT it has not been easy to do... Ask Hanaldo on here.... Plazmaman do a bolt on plenum, look good, hopefully it performs as well as it has on other cars on my R34 GTT. Look up my build and see if thats what you want it to look like... You might also look at this thread - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/160464-trust-greddy-plenum-on-r34/page__hl__plenum+r34+gtt
  7. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/315700-plazmaman-plenem-vs-greddy/ This has some good info, if you are spending decent money on a build dont take a shortcut with the plenum.... There are a few threads on this i think.....
  8. Say what? What are you trying to achieve with the car? Just FFP?
  9. Dont leave the car sitting for too long with E85 in the tank though (i mean like months at a time) as a mate doing FIFO work has issues with it everytime he lets his car sit for too long, put fresh fuel in and its like new..... Not sure if others have this problem or not?
  10. No man, thats DVT... Different thing... I was tested for that too...
  11. Yeah man, wasnt implying that... I meant the cost for my tune is about 2 tunes worth.... The tuning iteself will be very similar to what you have mentioned above Yep, its not cheap but its worth it..... The haltech is even more for the 34GTT as its the PS2000 wired in only...
  12. Is that the Zeitronix? JEM had them in stock at $650 too from memory, i think it was a bit to wire in too.... Depending on the tuner, full flex is not a cheap tune... It is basically the cost of 2 tunes from my experience so far... The wiring in of the sensorts etc has added a bit to the bill too, but at the end of the day for a proper setup it will all be worthwhile... As for the OP asking for a cheap option, there is no cheap option when it comes to flex fuel setup but it is so practical to have if the car is used often
  13. Thats the plan And yeah like SS8_gohan said, flex fuel setup is the safe way to go, but if its just running E85 there are heaps of cars doing it reliabily without it...... Just gotta remember to change the boost level under a certain % of ethanol apparently..
  14. Being fitted to mine this week
  15. Haha thought that would make you happy They are a satin black, they actually suit the car, although i cant run the original centre caps as the silver looks a bit silly so im not sure what to do there, BUT at least it replaced the hideous things i had on there before, ill keep the rims as daily street rims and get something lighter for the track, the XT7's weigh heaps!! E85 is about 20 mins away on the Bowsers hence the reason for going full flex fuel setup, BUT i do have 200L ready at home too - Sounds like the passenger seat is going to cop a work out lol.....
  16. PS - funny thing, our cars make identical power with totally different setups LOL
  17. Thanks Man!! E85 compatibility, and its black You wont have an issue and apparently there are plenty out there running E85 through these but they do not have the approval for the fuel so i THINK they are changing it
  18. Hey man, How did you secure that BMX cable adjuster thingo?
  19. Children....Children!!! Anyway, to keep Mr Dave074 happy the car is now down getting ready for the tune Wheels were a success and cant believe how they turned out considering it cost me bugger all - They suit the engine bay and intercooler nicely - Then we went for a nice long drive to its new home for a couple of weeks - There are some additions that JEM has added to the list like Billet fuel filter, exhaust cam gear and turbosmart fuel reg etc but its main purpose for being there is - Haltech PS2000 wire in and tune Ethanol content sensor wideband setup cams and springs install FULL flex tune for E85 & 98 pump fuels This is getting exciting and nerve wracking all at once
  20. Looking forward to this!!! Mine should go a tune next week too so there will be another 3076 to compare too but mine is likely to run a lower boost level that you guys....
  21. Ahhh OK cheers On a not so positive note, i have stopped training on my legs for now as the pain returned after trial and error tests with exercise... I have now tried cycling and rowing etc and it isnt too bad but after long enough it does start to build pressure, i am meeting with the trainer tonight and will be looking into circuit training on weights, boxing and kettlebell training, all of these i like the sound of, but is still a disappoinment as i dont like being told i cant do stuff I will speak to the doctors again and see what i can come up with to avoid surgury..
  22. Another quick update... Due to wanting to coat the wheels ASAP and leaving myself no time i called a local mob "Imperial Blasting", i must say i was shocked when i told him i was in a hurry and he phoned me in an hour and said they were ready to go They are going to a friend to coat tonight and will be ready tomorrow arvo, without knowing if i want to keep the rims i didnt want to spend much on them, turns out the whole ordeal has cost me next to nothing and only taking 24hrs to complete, the tyres were out of stock though so will be driving on hard tyres for a week or so Windscreen is being replaced tomorrow morning at 9 am and then its the fun part of checking and fixing all the little bits and pieces over the weekend ready for its trip next week. Gotta bleed the brakes on the tow car too or things could get messy
  23. Great news, glad you are happy with your choice! SAU is a great place and i am always learning from other peoples experiences etc.... Most are helpful on here, some are just trolls but you get that on any forum haha....... Hope to see you on a cruise soon man!
  24. Hence why it has taken me 2 years to finish my damn car, because i KEPT adding to it.... BUT overall it will be worth it once its all tuned....
