  1. I think REFLEX is rite though !!!
  2. Is it just me or is a stocko wrx incredibly quick... my mate has a 98 rexy and this thing hammers. He's beaten macked out 300zx's, 350z, silvias, lots of r33's, RX7 Series 6 Stock, many V8's and a few Hyundai's (hehehe)..... it hurst me to say this but his car is even quicker than my baby.... In answer to the original post to end this discussion about wrx's on a skylines forum !!! I would find it unlikely that a stock wrx can beat “macked out 300zx's, 350z, silvias, lots of r33's” Or unless you need to re-classify the word stock. As in no mods done straight from factory ?? Am I rite in saying that? Because I sure know that a stock wrx vs a modified skylines and salvia will more then likey loose.
  3. From my experience, We have had wrx’s fully bombed with, big turbo upgrades, Autronic ECU’s, Fuel, Injectors, all the go fast parts putting out well over 220kw at four wheels running NoS. And our mild tunned r33 skylines and salvia’s with stock turbo’s, computers, etc, still seam to beat them, Its only in the last ¾ of the track though, when we catch the rex’s. They have us until about 3rd Gear :-) You can compare power figures until the cows come home but they don’t mean jac, until you run you car on the strip. Because theirs a big difference between the strip and the dyno.
  4. Jimbo2000: The whole point is to NOT GET CAUGHT !!!!! *Up top for thinking*
  5. Mustn’t have been a standard line then, speed cut is at 180km/hr.
  6. Yes, To be able to fix it you need a new set of pistons. - I would advise you to not Drive the car hard but to babay it, because it will score the cylinder and you will need to spend more on machining cost when you have to re-bore it out and fit the new pistons.
  7. Just out of curiosity how much boost were you running ?
  8. From a very similar experience, Number 6 Cylinder, ring lands are on their way out.. It will only be a matter of time until you put a hole through the piston its self and then its a new set of pistons job.... If you do a compression test it will still have compression in the cylinder, but may be a little less then the others. It will be number 6 cylinder that will go first. So see if you can do a check on it, but it will eventually get worse depending on, If you bring it on boost a lot.
  9. If your car is standard and you don't run any more then 7 psi of boost go for the (NGK PFR6A-11) Untill you start running more boos like 13 psi you won't have to worrie about changing gap sizes or plug heat range.
  10. I haven't had any probs with Pfr5g-11 they are expensive plugs but once you re-gap to the rite size say .8 - .7 depends on how much boost your running they should be fine. You will also find a few most skylines will run a hotter plug eg the Pfr5 as it fires quicker then a colder plug eg the Bcpr7es.
  11. Sorry I realised I posetd the wrong one.. my internet is playing up ... and so is my dam computer.. Whats ya email i will send you the pdf ... Cheers

  13. Rb30's need a few small modifications first eg needs oil lines tapped into the block for the turbo, I'm also not sure how strong the crank would be on an rb30 to handle 300rkw. Machining costs mite be expensive as their is more work needed. I'm current getting my Rb25det machined with arias forged pistons, rb26 rods and keeping the crank standard. Its costing me heaps, buy the time you but all parts and put it all back in, it becomes a motor reliable motor, and should have no probs handling the power out put your after, If tuned well. But if you have the money to put an rb30 bottom end in I would recommend it as their are good benefits. But to make the motor reliable and strong you would have to spend a lots more all round to make that happen.
  14. Thanks heaps for that blind_elk.
  15. help please?
