  8. It shouldn't be any problems, Have just done a similar setup with rb25, beeing a metal gasket it can be re-used
  9. All you have to do is look at kira wilsons (not sure on spelling) R32 GTR hes running a Power FC. And thier are many 9sec cars in Japan running Power FC's Its more a case of budget performance. Where you don't have the advantages of Traction Controll - Wheel spin monitoring, 1/4 mile read outs, hp read out. As what other ECUs like Autronic can offer. But at a much higher price level.
  10. 26 Rods fit straight onto 25 crank, Only thing you will have to watch is if your doing aftermarket pistons you mite have to get the rods re-bushed where the connect onto the pistons. And yes ARP bolts work fine.
  11. Greaddy being the big company they are, I’m sure with out a doubt they have invested lots of time and research to get the best performance out of a RB25 plenum they why they made one for an RB25 and one for an RB26 because each motor has slightly difference workings. Your best bet would be to sell the GTR plenum and invest in a RB25 Greaddy one if you really are that keen to change.
  12. I personally would invest in something different first, Maby a non turbo skyline, For you first car, For starters you insurance will be around $3000 if not more. If you can get insured not having any insurance before. And the fact that a skyline is a performance car is not a good idea for people still learning how to drive. I’m saying this because I know of 5 cases where people who have just got their licences and people who have had them for a while, Have got them selves a turbo car, And crashed it with in 1 week of owning it. We have had one young guy crash his 180sx turbo with in 1hr of owning it. Also the matinance is high on some vehicles, since they come from Japan you don't know whats going to go wrong with them. My car is a good example I purchased a skyline had it for 2 weeks and the engine blew up, I'm still in the process of re-building it now and have been with out a car for over a year and paying of a $30,000 loan for something that’s sitting in a garage. Just a few things to keep in mind. Wait a little while first and then make a move in a couple of years. My 2c worth
  13. That’s why people who trying and argue, that their car is faster because it puts out more power on a dyno. Is a load of bull. I have seen similar cases of a car on one dyno putting out 320hp and on a different dyno putting out 360hp. With nothing changed to the car. If people say that their car is quicker because it puts out more power then mine I laugh. The argument stop on the ROAD!! You could have a car that does 700hp between 7 – 8k rpm and a 300hp car with a power range of 4 – 7k rpm I reckon the 300hp car would beat it over a ¼ mile. But the guy with the 700hp car can still claim that he’s is quicker because his car puts out 400hp more……. ???? Am I right in saying that ? In other wirds RiggaP has shown a good example of that, Cheers Mate.
  14. Did they replace your coil packs or just tape them up ? And just re-gap the plugs.
  15. Yes I have actually done it, I had mine on a switch so when I need to go over 180km/hr on a private road, I would flick the switch. It would give me a HICAS light on my dash though. Once I turned the switch off, the light would go away. I though its not safe to be fooling the computer by thinking that somethings wrong when its actually not. So I got a PFC to remove the limit.
  16. The difficulty with living up here in the far north, Is there is no one with a 4 wheel drive dyno.
  17. Lets see... Hummm wouldn't have to do with the Temp ??? ;-) And maby the Dyno ?? Humm I dunno
  18. Cutting wire 53, put your HICAS into diag mode, Some people have had problems with their HICAS not working properly once the wire has been cut, and some people haven't had any probs at all. I personally would think its a silly idea if your doing a 180km/hr and your HICAS decides to take control over your car ??
  19. On the PFC put more fuel into it, at idle and see what happens. I had a similar problem with a Rb25, upped the fuel intake at idle and ran heaps smoother. Also is it idling at 750 - 800 or lower? Also is your exhaust straight through? With a hollow cat ? and how many resonators do you have on your exhaust system ?
  20. I think the stock boost cut is somthing like 16 or 18 psi. can't rember exactlly.
  21. Have you got white smoke comming out your exhaust ? If so, your ring lands are probaly on thier way out !
  22. It will more then likely be your ring lands on your pistons, Which will be causing oil blow by. The reason it mite only be happening in the morning is when your motor is cold your pistons contract, allowing small amounts of oil. Until the pistons heat up sealing the cylinder, stoping the excess blow by happening. Which will cause a build up of oil in your turbo. Once it becomes warm it will burn the excess oil.
