  1. S3 for the win I think! With the R32 in a close 2nd followed by the GTi then the XR5. They arent cheap for a hatchs tho are they. So really the people that are buying them probably have the money to pay for the upkeep.
  2. They have probably all noticed you from somewhere before, but they just cant place where... Then 3 months down the track they work it out when they are back in the lock up.
  3. Man the lines flow on the proper car. They flow from the front lip of the front bar all the way to the rear. (hsv exempted) You cant say it doesnt flow. You just dont like holden, so you dont want it to flow. I've looked very closely at it again and again, but sure as heck, it flows!
  4. Raise your vision. And well, if it keeps on happening adjust your gap to 3 seconds, not the two it is now (assuming your a safe driver like you say you are). Maybe also get your suspension as mentioned above and your brakes looked at as well. Wheel alinement etc.
  5. They really arent that fat, just spaced out (front have 1mm caliper to wheel gap) rears are 235s, but the dunlops seem fatter than the equal bridgestone tyre. Either way they grip REAL good, considering they arent fully run in yet either.
  6. Looking at it again. I think Id rather an SS. Its those rear lights. They flow WAY better on the SS. It stuffs the lines sooo bad on this. I wouldnt mind taking one for a test drive though. If what was on that program the other day is true (at least with the suspension) it should be a pretty good car to drive. I think build quality MIGHT be the only let down, but with $500mill in new robots etc, I cant see that being a major issue for the price of the car.
  7. Yeah good Bryn, keeping busy. Got my proper wheels back on, with all new wider rear tyres! Its damn tight now, cant go even 1mm wider, its that tight. Tyres work real good though. 2nd didnt spin at all on the way home (was careful wasnt on the gateway) 1st was sliping a bit, but not a full on spin. So dunlop sp sport maxx for the win!
  8. Bloody hell Shane, just read back mate. For when you show your grand kids the phones in years to come, just remember to say 'but you should have seen the other bloke!' Just think, whatever doesnt kill you makes you stronger, or hurts a lot.
  9. I like the rain. I dont like level 4 water restrictions!
  10. I drove down the coast on the weekend... drove down sat nite, went to BWCP, drove back. Went back down Sunday, went down the spit, back up etc. Not a problem. We saw them pulling a few cars over tho. Bit bloody dangerous the way they were doing it if you ask me! I had one cop kinda follow me just round a few back streets round my house. But hey, he forgot to indicate, I didnt do anything wrong so that would have learnt him!
  11. As always Jason comes up amazing. But... how did you go with water?
  12. But how cool would a real mini zonda be! Unless of course you got mini shoes with it...
  13. Maybe try ring morgan park. SDT also have advanced driver training days at morgan park fairly often. Maybe hook in to one of those as well?
  14. Well I fitted mine (as pictured in the other post) just earlier today. They fit DAMN snug. They needed a little tap to fit nicely on the hub. They wheels then fitted, not quite so sug to the lip on them. Over all Im quite happy. The car drives very smooth, no problems yet. One tip with them tho is, do it when the car is cold hubs heat up a bit, which means they expand, which means its a bit tricky getting the spacer on.
  15. I think that your thinking of another pink cef
  16. Thing is, it was small time crime. Hes been to the big house. He really didnt enjoy it. I doubt he wants to go back. Why pull the same scam, when you know your going to get caught. The hoon stuff as well, the media has hammered him, I think Phill has worked it out. And good luck to him for selling his cef for a bit of money!
  17. So I should go because I have a cefiro? And the stag people should leave too? Lets just clear this up. All Erin asked was for the name to be changed. Not that we can never have a cruise again.
  18. I didnt see the old 'v' new hey. Not having a go at you either man. Just saying I dont see it.
  19. Andrew doesnt say c**ts. He is angry. I tried to say it in a nice way. The powers to be knew what Erin wanted. If its read back through previous topics in the members section you will see how it was all hunky dory. The question was asked to Erin. She gave her answer. If you are going to ignore the answer why ask the question to start with? The fact this is 5 pages and still going is stupid. I cant wait to get my subi.
  20. You are kidding me about the poll arent you?
  21. If you read above they werent going to even make the spacers until they had seen that I had replaced my studs. So in answer to the question yes. It cost something like $70 for all the studs to be done by my mechanic.
  22. Yeah, see I drive past both anyway. So the 2c saving isnt actually going to cost me more. But if its not a better quality product and just the same then Im not paying 2c extra for it. And just for the record Shane I dont drive off boost all the time. I drive so the car isnt straining, I also drive gateway traffic each day, so its not like its all 2am highway stuff. I found making the car work less by making it sometimes work more uses less petrol. 660kms compaired to 400kms that does make a big difference at the end of the year.
  23. Slip on ones. As you can see they are machined to suit my wheels and hubs. Fit on perfectly, and were made by a wheel maker so I know they are actually central and all true. Reason for slip ons is they dont make 10mm bolt ons, that are safe anyway.
  24. And no offence to anyone. But if the 'anual' cruise goes like that a lot of people will get very lost. It would be 4-5 times bigger than that. If its going somewhere more exotic than up a highway etc, then its going to need a bit more effort. As I already said (coming from one of the active non skyline members of both the club and site...) I feel its due for a name change anyway to reflect how the site/club has grown and changed. But hey. Do what you will.
  25. I've got slip on ones. They ARE hub centrifical. They will be going back on, on the weekend so I'll get some pics etc. But I also have longer studs. Wheel revoultions werent going to make them unless I did have the longer studs, so they do realise there is a safty issue attached.
