  1. Yes you pull the red cog off the R33 speedo drive. Thats what I've done and mines fairly spot on, give or take 5kmh or so.
  2. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=130753 Seek and you shall find.
  3. As mentioned now a few times in the thread... "Wheel Revoultions" made them up. They were $70 each. Just go down with one of your wheel so they can measure everything up so its nice and snug. And if you havent already GET LONGER STUDS. Its a small cost, about half that of the spacers probably including a mechanic to do it all.
  4. LOL! At 7.30am!? Crazy.
  5. 10yo car. With a factory 320hp at the fly, 10 years ago... With 10 years of suspension wear etc. But dude, M3 as your dream car? Aim higher. Dream car should be something that cant be achived unless you get insanly lucky.
  6. Depends which way you look at it. Infulental Aussies... Id like to think Brock is the 3rd... means there wont be another.
  7. Brock is the 3rd. Don Chipp was the 1st...
  8. But the thing is the wheel still isnt supported by the hub. Thats the point of having the lip on the inside such as mine have. Which if its anything under about 15mm is the best your going to get.
  9. I saw the little pic. He was moving alright, we kinda guessed it was an RX7 then read the rest of the article. Only 17y/o or something. Sad. But it does go back to the govt and driving training I say (to a point...) If he knew first hand what the speed does then he might not have got in to that situation. But hey, training costs more money than peoples lives.
  10. Yeah but thats the prototypes yeah? You had the 356 porsches which were production. Im going to have to double check now!
  11. I never really like TVRs UP THE MIGHTY RB20!!!
  12. Didnt porka come before VW?
  13. I wouldnt go that far... I dont think a nexen would delaminate at 120kmh
  14. 55UPP works in the same complex thing that I do.
  15. Quick update on mine. Dunlop SP9000s 215/45/17s on the front. Really nice tyre. Quite, good ride, awesome in the wet, awesome in the dry. Just a wee bit exxy at $330 each in the above size. Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 235/45/17s on the rear. Also a really nice tyre, quite, good ride again, really good in the wet (ie 2nd gear at 4000rpm plant foot instant boost no wheel spin AT ALL in the cold and wet) quite nice in the dry. Fair bit cheaper at $260each in the above size. That said I still rather the SP9000s and I would have got them for the rear but at over $350 each with a 4 week wait, just wasnt going to happen. I think the SP Sport Maxx are a nice compromise. They are better than the Brig G3s I've had on previously. And to say $2k is too much for tyres, I dont mean to sound offencive, but $400 diff a tyre... dude thats less than half. I paid almost the money you would be spending on 4x 18inch rubber for 2x my 17s. At least try and find a compromise there somewhere. Thats on the verg of dangerous. Is your life your talking about.
  16. I had them, rebuilt twice within 18months... BTW if you have a bent shaft you will need a new shock regardless as they cant rebuild one corner and not the other when you have a new shock there is a minium of 2 new shocks anyway. Just buy brand new shocks. The bilsteins are the best bang for buck. TRUST ME. It WILL save you money. Learn from my mistakes.
  17. Well for starters, a cef aint any smaller than a commodore. I'm getting about 570kms per tank, combo driving, highway and gateway traffic every morning and afternoon, and thats not my best thats the average, about 55-57L will go in the tank when I fill up. If it was to be all highway Id crack the 700kms with easy I feel. Mods being pod, exaust, 12psi, dr drift chip, and adj fuel pressure reg. Its a 1988 manual rb20, but with a RB25 box behind it, and a 2 way diff (no idea what difference that makes in terms of fuel economy). But thats on 98ron fuel, which is 10-12c more per L up here in QLD. Changes I would make, Id turn it in to a Subaru Liberty Blitzen
  18. I dunno about taking the wing off tho... Isnt it kind of there because of at higher speed the rear of these things just kinda lifts up? Either way its darn cool!
  19. Pretty sure I saw Mud today going the smart way down the gateway (ie against the traffic)
  20. I had crappy slip on ones, they are the rusty ones in the pics I put up on the first page. Hence wanting to change them, to what I have now being the machined ones. A slight vibration could be also a poor wheel alinement, or even wheel balance. Could well be the spacers too I got mine as they are safter than the typical slip on type most people have. They are still a bit of a bandaid, but a very good one.
  21. Coilovers are only hard if you have hard springs in them. Mine arent too bad as my springs refect that. So you need to look at spring rate. That said if you dont want coilovers thats fine. Id be going the bilstein option either way you run. They are the best bang for buck shock you can get (they are not the cheapest tho, just the next best is x4 or so the price). I've got them on mine and love them. If you want the bilsteins best bet is to PM Sydney Kid.
  22. I'm not trying to start trouble. I was simply asking the question. I never realised the new/old school thing even existed until recently, hence asking if this was an example of that. But as its been brought up else where as being a problem I think this is a prime example. Now just lucky this guy seems to have a good sense of humor. But his coment (below) should be noted, as this is apparently what was being discussed. So to make my point, there seems to be no new/old school thing, which Dave you have pointed out. But newbies feel unwelcome, yes he has asked a stupid question, but he wasnt to know, he does now but maybe not in the best way. BTW Dave its not aimed directly at you, its aimed at the people who brought up the problem previously. Just to clear that up. In regards to the orginal question, BWCP is really about it on Saturday night. Its not as bad as everyone says. If you be stupid you will get done, dont be stupid you should be right, its pretty straight forward. Fridays is nothing. Thursdays as you have found out is Milton. Which can be defectsville. But yeah, owning an import doesnt mean tickets. I've only been pulled over 2 times in almost 4 years in my Cefiro. So I think there are normally other factors.
  23. Dude lets look at this again. Why do you lock you brakes up? Too much brake pressure. What happens when the brakes are locked? You slide When you slide are you stopping quicker? No If you cant stop quickly enough (as your brakes are locked, and you have no steering) you smack in to the back of something. So whats the outcome of that? You have an insureance claim. So what you need to do, is brake differently. Dont lock up, its not the fastest way to stop, less is more! So get a wheel alinement, ask them whats wrong, tell them what its doing etc, if something is wrong fix it. Once you have done both of them if you are still locking up... Go do a defencive driving course, in your car. And if by some crule act of god, you still havent worked it out after ALL of that go hand your licence back in. It will be the right thing to do.
  24. Out of interest, is this the new school old school thing?
  25. R32 is a 3.2L V6. The GTi is a 2L turbo.
