Little motor and gearbox thing with the arm that moves the flaps for the aircon (ie moves the flap to divert the air from face to feet to demist etc) for an A31 cefiro 1988 model. And a good clean set of the weather sheld things that go over the doors the slimline ones full set of 4. (that might be tricky...) Dont spend too much time on it, as I dont have money atm, and I can live without them. Just if you come across them in your travels. Thanks.

I reckon most of that is from school holidays and kids with bottles of oil, and the fact thats right FACT that most queenslanders have no idea how to use a round-a-bout. Either way, wtf is the point of double points. With most of those you would have lost your licence anyway before they took the 2nd lot of points off! Why dont they just train drivers. So they realise how speed kills. If you go too fast where you cant slow down in time, or turn properly, you crash. Simple equasion!

Tuning For Maximum Economy, And Leanest Safe Afr
dangerous_daveo replied to GTRNUR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Not meaning to be a smart arse but... $15x52weeks = $780.00. But having said that I find most people use a tank a week. So with a good tune thats 500-600kms a tank (which is what I am getting) So thats closer to 18L (basing it on your estimation) which brings it out to $1560.00 a year saved. Sure as shit I could find a better way to spend that money than on fuel. Thats about 3 weeks wages for me, that would hurt. Just thought I would point that out. Also add this in to buying your fuel on the wrong day... then its even more. -
For my car you need both baby one to lift it enough to fit the big one under. And jack stands, just make sure they have the ticks, and correct load ratings. They should, but for safty just check.

Using Snow Tyres On Street
dangerous_daveo replied to DFAULT's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
They are snow tyres, and we live in Australia. Not a whole lot of snow here, most parts anyway. Get decent tyres, it might save your life. -
So can I ask. For us people running standard turbos with just boost etc. Is an aftermarket fuel pump worth it, assuming stock fuel pressure. Then if its stock turbo etc and fuel reg is it needed? I already have one as it came with the car so it doesnt worry me, just interested to know.

Well if the engine doesnt win, the owners of them surely do! Thats a big one nil to the 1jz! LOL! Then there are the stories of the 800hp stock bottom end 2jz's. Nissan just cant compeat.

Clutch Upgrade
dangerous_daveo replied to nismoskyline32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Ring him up, tell him how much you want to spend, and go from there. I went the whole hog. Got my pressure plate recoded, new carbon clutch, and a new flywheel and that was change for the movies from $1200. But then that can apparently handel about 800bhp (flywheel) and is used in the targa cars he does. The car is soooo much nicer to drive now, very much worth it. He also took 30mins to explain it to me on a Saturday morning, him calling my mobile so not a cheap call. Just call him, its worth it. -

" Sydneykid " Pros And Cons
dangerous_daveo replied to felixy69's topic in General Automotive Discussion
He spent about 45mins yesterday going thru suspension with me explaining things, all in a way I could understand. What works and what doesnt. I dont think he has a con. Just all pros. That and a REALLY nice bloke. -
I should re-phrase. Listening

Spoke to Sydney Kid today. He is going to do something up for me simlar to the skyline kits, just for my car. Cheaper than tiens, and should be better. All I can say is shit a brick I learnt a lot today. More than I did from talking to Jim Berry for 30mins.

I guess if you can find a low end model that doesnt have all the extra crap, manual turbo, and played with the suspsension I think the soarer would kick arse. Toyotas from what I have seen anyway are much better cars than most nissans. But the way I see it is, one is a sports car (skyline) the other is a GT car (soarer) but with money you could change that with both of them. In terms of the engine, the 1j is just better. Cant compair them I dont think. Tuners know them too, parts are ok. Yes there are less of them, so less parts, but they dont break so I would think demand would be less.

Dude, go find my write up on the rb25 gearbox conversion. That NEEDS to be up there. Im just getting the suspension re-done too, so I'll try get something on that done too. -
The Tiens have 285lb front, 225 lb rear. I should have mentioned. I have every other bit of suspension gear already on the car. So I only really need shocks/springs. I PMed SK as he doesnt have a group buy for his suspension kit for S13/A31. So atm I am a bit out of luck with that.

Dollar$$$? Its all about the dollars.

HI EVERYONE!!! I've just about cracked it with my car, so Im thinking if I am nice to it, it might start to behave. My suspension has died (again) I had my shocks rebuilt by TSR about 2 years ago, so far 3 of the 4 have died. One was repaired at TSRs expence, the other at mine, and now the 3rd has gone. Being the rear. With my 2 way diff this is quite scary. By rebuilt I mean, kyb guts, different valves etc etc. Bit of a mix and match of things. So my options are: Break the other rear shock so they both act the same. 2seconds and a big bump... no cost Get the dead shock repaired, most probably by Scotty (who used to own TSR, and did the orginal repair) Prob 30day warrenty on this. Cost $200 tops. Get 2 band new rear shocks/coilovers. From dont know who? Suggestions? Warrenty? cost? $500?? Get a whole new set, of standard type springs and shocks. Something simliar to the SK set up. Warrenty? Prob $2k tops fitted? Get a whole new set of coilovers, something like the tein ones from Fulcurm (2 year warrenty) Or from someone else? Suggestions? About $2600 fitted (fulcrum). Im guessing the fulcrum kit is the way to go. So who on here has it, and what do you think? I need to get on to this asap. Im just about to ring a few other places just to get a comparison, eg pedders (who I also dont trust...) Dont suggest 2nd hand anything. Its just not going in. Any suggestions please post! Thanks!

Happy Birthday dude. We do need some senior memebers to keep us inline. And just think, with age comes wisdom, back ache, sore joints, memory loss, less bladder control, grey hair (woops too late ) etc. But we still like ya mate! Hope you enjoyed the day.

In the US, they also had a car that was built by I (think!!!) dodge, so that would help a lot with parts. I know there are quite a few, still fairly rare but more than here. From memory they are a bit like the mitsu version of a 300zx, not a car you would go out of your way to buy to modify to go fast. Having said that there is a quick one up here in Brissy, and it just left us for dead in a car that should have stuck next to a stock one easy. As everyone else has said tho. AWESOME cars, its got everything you need then some.

Differences In R33's
dangerous_daveo replied to Pauly_Bro's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
s2 is newer, and should have most of the bugs that were in s1 sorted out. If you have the money go the s2.
