  2. I got the same prob just started up now. Basically same mods, same car etc. I know mine is suspension. One of the rear shocks has died. So I can notice it on some corners. I think it would be easier to drive if both had carked it, not just the one. It is not very nice to drive atm. Thats my car anyway. Yours might be different. If you have coil-overs have a look, see if there is oil all about. Do that push on the car and watch it bounce back up trick.
  3. Fixed cameras arent revenue rasing. They have big signs up, if you cant see them you should have to pay, so that some little kid gets a decent education so they dont do the same thing. /end rant.... Anyway, if you are tired PULL OVER, get out of the car, do some star jumps or something. Its a long mostly straight road. It will put you to sleep if you let it. Dont let it. That and fill her right up to the brim before you leave as close to the boarder as you can. NSW fuel is exxy!
  4. Mine just has two pipes off the things on the cam cover things to the catch can, and then we blocked off the orginal pipes. I then unblocked the orginal pipes as it made a mess of the engine bay with all the vapours going about. That and if its not done correctly it does bugger all anyway.

  6. Did you put the 4 in or the 8 in. Are yours poly or aluminum? I have 8x 4-5mm thick aluminium ones in, and I want to pull 4 out to see what it does. I dont think the 8 are really helping, just contributing to in cabin noise from the diff.
  7. Wellll, kit car, it would seem many are VW beatle based, so ej20 rear mounted. But if you want a strong gearbox you would be looking at say a porka box... They make the rb25 box look REALLY cheap. [edit] You should also look at the 1GGTE (6cyl twin turbo) from toyota. Quite a few aftermarket parts about for them as well (not as many but still a few). I know of one that was reliably making 350rwhp on a fully standard bottom end that was out of an ex-race car that had been sitting for 2 years without being started. So really, doing all the wrong things it still worked. You could also get the supercharged bottom end that has higher compression (which the above motor actually was). I think price would be equal or better, and gearboxes should be as cheap and def stronger than the two combined. That and its toyota so its more reliable to start with.
  8. You so need spacers on your wheels hey. And go park it on the road and take pics so we know how low it really is. Other than that, looks good!
  9. I dont think it will really help sell the car. I guess tho add it with an SAU membership (so they go to a skidpan day with other SAU members), it could be the swinging point for someone. And if its someone older then you just take it off the asking price. That said if it means your able to sleep at night then its money well spent. If it means you save someones life, then its money well spent. And if you put it in with the membership, I have found SAU members seem to rub off good driving values to most people, so that would also help. A few people I know who have 400+rwhp cars said they would just sell them, wouldnt even turn down the boost. I feel thats irrisponsible. So what your trying to do should be comended.

  11. So whats it going in to? Physical size might be an issue too, or just the whole direction of piston thing. Either way, Id say the rb20, i've been up against a few rs libs, and always been on top, and they have always had more mods. Weight and kms on the motor would be about even. Diff is mine is still going, theirs have both blow up... Thats my perspective anyway.

  13. A BOV vents crank case emmission, not just air... If you have a PROPER catch can set up, then it should just be air. Or at least thats what I have been told by a few mechanics.

  19. Cops like that everywhere. And yes I have been pulled over by them. We have a pair of them up here. They wear hawian shirts, and drive whatever, from turboed astras to monaros, ss utes with car stereo stickers on them. Its easy to get caught out by these guys. And there is two of them, and they are both the 'bad' cop. Poeple in QLD know who Im talking about.
  20. Anyway on topic. In my big bright red noisy cefiro, which I used to go cruising in down the coast each weekend with a bunch of 'hoons' we even had 'team shitbox racing' stickers on the cars, down to the dreaded bwcp.... We never once got pulled over. I have in fact in about 2.5years of owning my car been ever pulled over 3 times. 2 of those a ticket, only once anything bad and points. Both times in the wrong. (other time was an rbt). Said it before, say it again. If you lot are getting pulled over for stupid little defects, you are either asking for it one way or another, or look like the policemans daughters ex boy friend.
  21. So the other drivers car had no brakes lights right, and didnt indicate... so that wouldnt be your fault right? Not good man. But seriously, I reckon you could fix that in about 2hours. AND! Give the car a whole new look in the process, and just bolt on a sigma front end... Sigline! You will be full sick like thorpy, the drifters will love you, cause its old school too yo!
  22. Put the new pads and disks on and see if you still think you need to upgrade the calipers.
  23. There are buick V6s that came stock turbo... Not here but in the states. They run some insane times considering the lard arse cars they are in. I really dont understand why more people dont do them over here. Commos make awesome sleepers tho. A VN-VS commo weighs about the same as a cefiro or skyline sedan anyway, I dont see the problem. Out of interest tho, whats the fuel economy like now? Better or worse.

  25. Dude, I just asked my mechanic to do it, and he got them put them in, gave me a torque wrench for the weekend to just keep and eye on them, and shes apples. But having said that I have like 15mm spacers on, and still only have 2mm clearance if that. A gap is a gap They are however still illegal, get the bolt on ones.
