  1. I am sure most are ok, as I said these were built RB26's with a lot of head work; the solution was to modify the manifolds to external gates.

  4. I know of at least 3 GTR's with GT-RS's (-10's) that have boost control issues.

  6. If you are a first year apprentice leave the suspension alone; lowering it will mean you need to correct the camber. If you dont get a camber kit you are up for more money to pay for tyres wearing out.

  10. Do you have the front and rear tailshafts with the Getrag? Is the gearbox complete with shifter etc...
  11. With the length stroke it has not sure if you would want to rev it anymore than 8krpm; 608hp is what you could make with a RB26 but it would no doubt come on earlier.
  12. Geoff, is there any more information on that blue R34 GTR with a big single EFR turbo that was at SEMA?
  13. Yes it was a bit of a "small world" moment as I went to a mates house and he happened to be there! His engine was slightly smaller (2.9) than yours but he had some extensive head work. Would be good to see a comparison made.
  14. Nice work Ian; as an aside I met the guy who built that RB29/30 in Adelaide (one with the RB30 crank modified to fit in RB26 block) the other day, nice guy and pretty clever!
  15. I found those photos on the UK forum... that being said it looks very messy in there. Are these new improved turbos (considering the Garrett GTX series too) worth the extra $$$ for the extra performance; and is it quantifiable yet? i.e. 300rpm better spool or 1000rpm?

  18. If insurance companies acted that "fairly" I would be surprised... spacers will increase loads on wheel bearings too; not sure if it has been mentioned. Throwing around a full weight 400kW GTR with big wheels, grippy tyres and spacers. If I had the choice I would not fit them.
  19. Anyone know if R33 GTS4 crown and pinion wheels will fit into the GTR diffs, they have a ratio of 4.363...
