  1. I call that bluff... upload the sheet, lets keep this thread interesting I do not believe it is that critical in a I6.
  2. That is a stupid analogy. The way you go on about it Birds you make it sound like it is the most critical part of an engine... it is simple. You need one for the clutch pressure plate and starter motor and not excessively light that it will cause throttle control issues (of which I have not heard a lot of/if any in modified GTR's with light flywheels). Not sure about balance and dampening though?
  3. Yeah I am sure an accurate result will be had Two engines exactly the same one with "H" one with "I"... keep making power until bang then assess the damage.
  4. ^^^ so why dont we have massive heavy flywheels if we "need all the kinetic energy transfer you can get". If you are changing a clutch put a lighter one in, if you are not doing the clutch then leave it. Ligher flywheel will always be faster through the revs, I do not believe for a second that the revs drop so fast through the gears that it is an issue... besides, you have a ligher flywheel and the engine can overcome the interia to speed it back up again!
  5. Get a Greddy kit.
  6. Pull the coilovers out Marko and have a look at what type of bearing they are; I cannot imagine imperial being harder to get, would have thought the opposite really? Are you sure it is the tops and not anywhere else? Do you have other rose jointed suspension arms?
  7. Still here mate can negotiate on price
  8. Did mine on axle stands.
  9. The decision to use the standard airbox over a suction kit. Not for every one just this... surely someone has done a power run make "x" KW then taken airbox off replaced it with pods or a full suction kit and made "y" KW? I would be happy to use the OEM airbox with a Nismo snorkel and replacement AFM pipes knowing that it would not be a restiction.
  10. Was any back to back testing done to come to that decision? Genuine question I.e. Comparison with Greddy hard pipe kit?
  11. Lol... my uncle just came over and I asked; is your Patrol a 4.8L? And he was like, nah, 4.5L it is gutless! Might have to let him know how you go with this... the exhaust port almost looks like a perfect square?
  12. I hope dazmo will update at some stage!
  13. The manifold is definitely awesome... they sit the turbo in a slightly different spot to other manifolds, a bit forward and on an angle.
  14. I love the look of the Trust/Greddy comp. covers! Hope it works out well.
  15. PM sent
  16. Swap them for the larger version Garrett's (-5's) and get a decent tune... you will be laughing then!
  17. Big cams for small turbos...
  18. Yeah that is a serious looking R33 GTR... I cannot find anymore information on it! Maybe Mr Baron will see this and can comment?
  19. Aluminum alloy has a fatigue life though... Not like steel.
  20. Did not say it was 100% fail proof, but given the choice I do not see why anyone would go with an N1 considering their record. I would spend more (on a Nitto, Tomei, etc) to know that is was a 100% improvement over an N1. And if you want to (or be safe from accidental) limiter bashing then go an external for slightly more coin.
  21. Don't understand why people won't spend an extra $500-$700 on a better pump rather than play oil pump roulette... I will build mine to last the hard time I want to give it not baby it because I am too much of a tight ass.
  22. Yeah... it is smaller, I have seen it too. But have you broken one? If you haven't then you have nothing to comment about it being a downgrade. It is a definite upgrade considering the gears are much stronger than an OEM 5-speed from a R32/R33.
