  1. Well I know why Nissan went straight coil on plug, there is f**k all room to mount the LS1 coils especially trying to have them neat and with equal length leads. Having a mate come round tomorrow to give me a hand.
  2. Makes sense... But why you would do it doesn't, not necessary. Would rather shear a bolt with a nut than a bolt in a threaded hole in a manifold! Nasty!
  3. Well I got a set that I am going to install and tune next week, will put up results. If someone can help in the mean time and show how they have mounted them neatly that would be super
  4. Getting the car tuned and some other issues sorted and tuner told me that two of my coils are leaking to ground. Options: 1. repalce OEM ones with OEM ($$$) 2. aftermarket (not as much $$$ as above) 3. LS1 coils (that I ended up getting for free) I think I will go with option 3... anyone got some decent photos of how they mounted them? Or what leads they used?
  5. So what is acutally different crank wise from the Step0 to the Step2? Is it just a lighter crank; is it still fully counterweighted?
  6. Hey Marko! Photos of mine here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/343044-1995-nissan-skyline-r33-gtr-vspec/page__p__5532512#entry5532512 I think the R34's had a "proper red"... the only reason I like mine is the uniqueness; I have not seen many R33 GTR's in the wine red colour.
  7. Do you ever use an "auto-shut down" or a limp mode when you get no oil pressure?
  8. I have seen the cam cover breathers just blocked off. It would make sense to run a regulator so you can set it to what you want. BMYHOE are you using the Moroso dry sump tank and breather unit as well? It looks pretty compact.
  9. http://www.kb-silvolite.com/calc.php?action=comp Here is the calulator I was going to use but I do not know the "Deck Clearance (in.)Note: Neg. nubmer above deck, Pos. number below deck" if anyone can help?
  10. No worries mate Other PM's replied.
  11. You can buy brand new -10's if you sell
  12. Not sure about kms... but sorry can't help with those parts.
  13. If you want to sell not swap PM me! Will pay cash (local)
  14. Everything you said is right Nismoid. I think the brace's purpose might be for those who wish to utilise high rpm like 9krpm or more without a fully counterweighted crank. It is fact that the long straight six crank can move around (in a bad way) at high rpm and cause block issues. Making 400-450kW reliably is the key

  16. Mr Baron made it sound like it did not... "it strengthens the girdle but retains the standard mains"
  17. http://www.hioctanedirect.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=67_88&products_id=1337 So does this work with the OEM girdle?
  18. Digging up an old thread... has anyone taken the time to work out the dynamic compression of a stock RB26?
  19. I had not started the car for a while (few months) and then once I tried to start it again that was it, just died. Put a multimeter on it and it was not drawing any amps. Had me f**ked for a while trying to figure it out... was going to try warranty via RHDJapan but it was too much of a headache. So ended up fitting a Bosch 044 for I reckon $300 in total, a proper installation though
  20. I did, then the Nismo one shit itself... Could not bare the thought of spending the same amount on another one so a Bosch went in. Sweet dreams after that
  21. What's wrong with a good old Bosch 040 or 044... The 044 was my choice and saved $200 to waste on something else, lol
  22. Not disagreeing because that is basic engineering principal... as far as dampening and balancing I do not believe it has a significant effect considering the I6 configuration (negating the R34 dual mass BS). The argument is downsides are insigificant to warrant keeping a heavier flywheel; why would you want one in a performance car? Is anyone really concerned with changing gear driving up a hill? I do not think so!
  23. Ferrari have a history of "bending" the rules or manipulating people to let them break the rules.
