  1. Is going to a 5-stage purely to achieve constant vacuum around the 12-15" vacuum? If that is the case a "better" (i.e. Weiss, Auto Verdi)pump should be able to pull sufficient vacuum with 4 stages (maybe 3?) making it a lot more managable in terms of fitment, hoses and fittings. What are people doing in terms of pressure and flow? i.e. how much of both? Obviously pressure is regulated easily but flow not so.

  8. Having just had a look lowering engine a small amount might not affect track at all.
  9. Not measuring the angle of the driveshaft it is hard to tell how much but it will vary. Want to get under and have a look this weekend. Also to check what Matt mentioned. You are quite the argumentative type

If you lower the engine you decrease your driveshaft angle which increases you track... so the proper way to do it would be to do what you suggested, you would not need longer driveshafts but the decreased angle might be an issue? Why the move to uni's Brad? Sounds like a good idea RE: front diff casing. Mr Baron: it is funny you mention removing the front diff. some mad fabricator in Sydney outlined plans for such a conversion
  11. Oh come on man, Port Road is pretty good ey! I won't drive from Semaphore to the city on Port Road... totally f**ked. Why would any politician want to oppose this legislation? When has one stood up and supported drivers? No and none; if it doesn't get through in its full form they will pass parts of it that will still affect drivers, us especially with modified cars. All points to revenue raising for SA for failed projects, Desal, Hospital, Stadium... all projects that will (and have) blown out in cost because of the Governments incompetence. Same deal on national level with mining tax, carbon tax, etc.... ...end rant (for now)

  13. Couple of things: Have people who have done a full dry sump setup with a RB26 retaining the 4WD bothered take advantage of a shallower oil pan and lowered the engine? I can imagine it being a bit of a task especially to maintain the suspension and driveshaft geometry. Is it necessary to run an oil restrictor to the head? Hoping Brad (Risking) will comment on the first question.
  14. That is honest to God totally f**ked. In other words, if they don't like you... be prepared for a fine; not sure about others but if they looked hard enough they can find a defect of some sort. If this gets out of control I can see myself not registering my car.

  18. I think it is just an attempt to tap into a bit of the market and hype of "billet" compressor wheels; billet vs cast reminds me of the ball bearing vs bush.

  22. What base circle are the cams? I would go with the Tomei +1mm buckets and a thinner shim if you have the $$$, or is that what you already have?
