  1. Wow... Bobby thanks mate!
  2. I understand it no worries. Will send you PM.
  3. Are you saying the Joule-Kelvin effect will occur when an inlet valve opens? So 64psi (abs) so for normal people that is about 49psi "boost" (subtracting atmospheric pressure) then due to above effect it will cause a further reduced pressure at the TB to valve inlet?
  4. You will have more "area under curve" with VCT; the good thing is you can vary that volume or cylinder filling time over the rpm range. This engine is worthy of VCT
  5. If you want to part the engine out let me know buddy! Chasing a NEO head.
  6. Hey Matt did you not have an engine ready to drop into this R34, that being sold? Bump for a nice bloke!
  7. Man I do not want to keep going on about all the $$$ but f**k you would want some out of this world results for the money spent. In any case it is a good project, would be exciting to see results.
  8. It was not much extra work to make them equal length, just good practice really having same length.
  9. Ok well just got a call from the tuner and she started first kick with the LS2 coils... tuning this week and fingers crossed might get it back by the weekend! I will eventually post how they are mounted once I get around to it, might even make a kit for the conversion if there is any demand.
  10. Do you have a set of headlights? PM me please
  11. Yes, Red R Racing is who you want. Forget the N1 unless you like to gamble (ignore Nismoid ) and get a Nitto.
  12. Twice as many things to go wrong with two pumps. Especially two of lesser quality compared to a Weldon; plus you could get the Weldon rebuilt every xxxx kms.
  13. Did you find out what turbos they are?
  14. Matty is very helpful. He will be even moreso if he finds an intercooler shroud for me
  15. That is a pretty good power band if you ask me; better than most modded GTR's.
  16. You need to put liners in the alloy block anyway so may as well make a spacer and re-create a high deck but over 3L displacement.
  17. I have often thought the same thing Brad... it takes a lot more money (and maintenance) to keep a RB26 alive and well at 400kW on a race track than it would to loose 100kg.
  18. Are you talking about the rear lower control arm ball joints? You can get aftermarket ones for around $30ea. I ended up grinding down a ring spanner so it was thin enough to get around the nut (after I removed the split pin), like most jobs on a GTR it is not awesome fun. To get the ball joint out you need a press; I used the one at work and made my own drift. R33 GTS and GTR should be the same I assume it is the same for R32's and R34's as well but I do not have experience with either of them.
  19. Yes it is a capacitor... I have found this too:
  20. Well I got a dummy bracket made up which should do the trick; now I need to sort out the wiring. Will get a photo up of them mounted this weekend, if it looks as neat as I hope I might even do a kit. By the way does anyone know if you still use the OEM "noise suppressor condensor" on the power feed to the LS1 coils?
