  4. Before I quote myself again in a single turbo application is there a need for the surge ported compressor housing or was it a precaution?
  5. Why the reason for twins over a single i.e. equally sized EFR single to achieve power target? As you said would be a big headache to fit it all.

It is pretty funny really as in the last 2 years I have been involved in a very very large German OEM manufacturer (bigger than BW) that had pre-released a "product" that was really still a prototype. And man was that not the biggest cluster for our company! Product failures, and failure to supply... then in the end they would not supply because they knew the product was so bad. Anyway, as I understand it these turbochargers were designed with special care as far as turbine and compressor wheel matching and turbine housing sizes. Is there still a necessity for a surge ported compressor housing? Considering it does take a bit of efficiency away at the top end. Or was the decision to port the housing done as a precaution?

  10. Wow, defensive much? I am smart enough to realise that, my post was more of a pot stir to see what is going on with the R34 with EFR 9180. Obviously as HiOctane are dealers of B/W EFR turbos we (general public) probably will never know what happened... if anything.

  13. Sounds promising so far... without giving away specifics, was anything changed in relation to the head? Cams, porting or CR with the change of turbocharger?
  14. How are you making more torque without using more fuel?
  15. So if you are making more torque and roughly the same power what is happening? (i.e. assume RB26 vs RB30)
  16. Nismo hard piping is to be used with the OEM airbox.

  21. Just wondering if they will void warranty if they see that the turbo is subjected to antilag. That is a pretty straight forward question you could ask BW? Next question is if the Full-Race manifolds would be up to the task
