Water Feed Line From Bottom Of Radiator ?
tricstar replied to Dan_J's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
the water feed to the turbo is only there for when you shut the engine off, to help get rid of heat soak. its the oil that does all the work while its running. thats my understanding anyway -
Change Diff From A-Lsd To Mechanical
tricstar replied to tricstar's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Champion As I suspected just blocked off the hydraulic line from pump, those cables in the 3rd to last pic must be hicas or something because mine also has them cable tied up behind the diff. thanks for post up the pictures -
How Do You Upper Gearbox Bolts
tricstar replied to Hot33r8723's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Doing this for the 10th time ATM, 3 x extentions with the box bolted up the motor ( with all the other bolts at least ) and just hanging down, slide extensions along the top of box and rachet from back of box ( shine a torch along top to see bolts ) easy .... yeah with one of those semi-balls on end extension . -

Spat Power Steering Belt With New Ross Tuffbond
tricstar replied to abr33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
can't be sure on either case.. there was black marks on the fan but don't know if that was the cause or the result of the belt shredding? but the fan does have quite a bit of flex ? and both times its happened to me was at the track or an event at over 8000rpm in 4th, so 220kph+ ..? when its not spinning, the fan tips are only about 10mm from the P/S belt.. ?? but I've only done 2 belts in about 4 years so I don't know that this is related to the Ross balancer issue ( if there is one ) -
Spat Power Steering Belt With New Ross Tuffbond

(Quote R32 TT ) My car is only a baby in RB30 terms mate. 20psi - 350rwkw. Spins too 7200rpm - soft limiter courtesy Motec. Plus I drive like a pussy according to Gav. So I'm not bouncing off a 9krpm limiter or anything. Can confirm, drives like a pussy Don't think its the same issue ( but I'll put it out there ), I've spat a couple of P/S belts with an ATI balancer, but only at 8500rpm and over 200kph, think there is enough flex in the clutch fan to just clip the belt.. Not the same issue as you Matt, obviously as you have electric/thermos, from memory.. but could be worth looking at for others. -

Is This Normal Shifter Movement?
tricstar replied to dan-0's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Nah that's not normal. Is it a short shifter? Probably missing a clip or the plastic cradle thingy? Pull the shifter and all the bits holding in, out and take a pic, and the bits under the shifter Then we see what's missing -
haha ( homo spec ) unlike yours, mine does get driven on the street quite abit.. so not a fan of the screamer, had never even considered going that root

hey Ash, have you had a glance in the boot, or under the car to see what is cut if anything, mainly in the computer/wiring department,, and what about between reservoir and pump ? -
Os Giken R3C Clutch
tricstar replied to I_heart_rb26:)'s topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I assume you mean the Trust bearing and carrier-sleeve ? They should come with the clutch, if bought new, and also, you obviously have the pull to push converter ? otherwise ring Otomoto, they will be able to tell you what size carrier-sleeve, then you should be able to order one in through your local clutch supplier.. -
Nah, got my "old TO4 piece of junk" new from a garret dealer for $1700..

I've got a RB28 built by James at Nisspeed in adelaide, its done 30k+ hard kms, seems to know how to build an engine.. and does quite a few 30/26 & 30/25..

Change Diff From A-Lsd To Mechanical
tricstar replied to tricstar's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hey Ash, how are those findings coming along PS,. Midnight Purple GTR is exactly the same as mine, except completely different build, but same base car.. good price with the fruit. looks well sorted. -
if its only 4mm, it might be at the end of its adjustment but, I would think you should be able to get it to engage with the pedal adjusted to the max and foot to the floor, if not its more than that.. another option; instead of taking box out etc get a threaded rod for your slave, not sure who does them. but my car has one because the previous owner had alot of trouble getting an OSGiken triple plate ( the name escapes me atm) to work properly, so with the threaded rod you can easily move where the folk sits.. Also get someone to sit in the car and push the clutch peddle while you watch the slave under the car to make sure you are getting enough travel in the folk.. clutchs??

Nice, give us a run down on your old mans setup?
-
Nah not coming out tomorrow Brendan but what numbers did they make ? Ps. Have a good day. See if you can get someone to time you and throw them up here.

Ok haven't used them before so can't comment. But at least they are semis. I assumed it must have been better than the thursday night prior which saw a really cold track and alot of shit times. From some of the same people. Who knows aye ??? That's racing.
