  1. To all concerned (and whose emails I have) I've sent you all a PDF copy of the BBQ fundraiser/meeting minutes and bookkeeping report for the collection of those funds raised.
  2. Vu, man you are a victim of your own success ... how about I put you in charge of the designing of the membership cards? Would like to discuss this with you this week if I can. There is already a position of Event Coordinator, which will become 'active' when the club grows enough to warrant it. For the time being the events can be organised by one of the other four committee positions ... as is written in the Constitution.
  3. I've ignored this stupid statement enough. I never said that Vilis was the SAU SA clubrooms ... so where did that come from? I will be looking into the Directors pub for our SAU SA meetings. For any persons interest in the club ... do not take whats been said here as gospel. PM or email me for the facts ... not speculation. Sorry Steve, you were overlooked. Its hard keeping up Email sent buddy.
  4. This is a quick mock up ... work in progress. It'll be about the size of a credit card.
  5. That explains alot!
  6. I've had a total of 6 or 7 dattos over the years. Some of the most easy modded and fun cars ever. Parts interchangability is huge.
  7. Correct.
  8. I still have a custom fab plenum lying around for an L16, L18 or L20 motor! Might find a nice tidy auto 120Y, drop in an L20, Mahl pistons and Waggot cam and supercharge the dam thing with EFI.
  9. Before you go the lego idea ... come have a look at my 10yo lad's lego collection It breeds! And it takes up half the f**king house!!!
  10. Dirt bike! What? All my mates have done it ... oh better get health insurance for the lad too
  11. Don't rush your scan babe ... you know you can drop it to me anytime. You going to find out the sex? Gotta catch up soon. This week is hell busy, but weekend is looking free. I'll drop in on Ben if he's back in the city store, if its any easier. I'm taking money and forms now ... so anytime before the 9th will do. Damo emailed his form in and transfered the funds into the (interim) account for SAU SA, if you wanna do it that way. Email me for account info.
  12. Ouch! Times have changed. I remember when $8 was steep
  13. I've got membership forms rolling in now. Thanks to those persons Feel free to pass on your payment Friday night at the usuals, or call me on 0449 928 227 if you wanna see me in person. Sorting out the bookkeeping in MYOB and will have a report prepared to show members and payments
  14. I've got membership forms rolling in now. Thanks to those persons Feel free to pass on your payment Friday night at the usual places, or call me on 0449 928 227 if you wanna see me in person. Sorting out the bookkeeping in MYOB and will have a report prepared to show members and payments You're right Pete. I've started up businesses (for friends/family and my current employer) and I've been manager where I'm at now for 10 years ... and this car club still isn't easy.
  15. I know its closing the gate after the horse has bolted, but video surveillance is cheap nowdays. All my cars are under a watchful eye. Also, a car like that would stand out too much. I suspect the car was stolen for the engine and box. Keep an eye out on the forums for someone upgrading their RB20/25 for a 26! Or even a 31/32 drift car/track car. Do you have the engine number? Pehaps post it up here for everyone's info.
  16. The 1200cc motor from the Honda Blackbird CBR XX. Not as powerful as the Busa 1300cc motor, but nothing to sneeze at either. Is funny: the Hayabusa is the japanese name for a bird which preys on the blackbird
  17. Actually, its a Suzuki engine! I could help you design and fab it up .. complete with ram air intake!!! I've had a hand in a project like this before
  18. Hayabusa 1300cc with turbo!!!!!!!
  19. That sucks. Best of luck with the recovery. If it was for sale, had anyone test driven it or enquired about its location? Might be good to start there.
  20. I too went to a few reputable workshops ... in the end I got mine over the counter (same day) at Unley Nissan.
  21. +1 The invite was there to PM, email, phone or meet me, to get a better understanding of the club directions. Notice a pattern here that all persons who have approach me or Kell are supporting the club? The invite has been out there to PM me with an email address and I will send a copy of the Constitution. I find the people complaining are the ones who have not bothered to read a copy. Ask for a copy and I will provide. This club is still in its teething stage, but we are getting there and I'm happy with the progress. Meetings still need to be arranged for memberships, committee votes, and generally informing people of the direction the club is going. SAU SA is in its early stages and we'll take each opportunity as it comes. Ministry of Bass are kind enough to offer their premises ... thanks Simon And we wish to meet a time line of '2 weeks for next meeting' then '2 weeks for committee vote' so its an even spread of events. So we just gotta stick to our guns to make that timeline comfortable for most people ... and upsetting mothers on Mother's Day is not my ideal way of doing this. Saturday 9th May @ 1pm has been confirmed with Simon at Ministry of Bass.
  22. Correct. Still $15 cheaper all up than SAU NSW I can take membership forms and payments prior to the BBQ if people wish. Naturally, we'll endeavour to get membership cards to you as soon as they're available. Things will be moving a little slow, so bear with us, but things are moving PM me your email address and I'll forward on a copy of the forms and Constitution.
  23. I want those 5 seconds back!
  24. I'm still at work Turning off my workstation and heading home now ... no TAFE class for me tonight, can't be fu(ked. Need beer. 11 hour working days = fail
  25. Not bad for the $
