  1. Just got my suspension back together. I'll be heading over Gepps Cross in about 10 minutes
  2. I've got a set of Stagea shocks if thats what you're looking for?
  3. Yeah I should have been more specific between 'central locking' and 'keyless entry'. I have keyless entry. I can enter my car by either: pressing the unlock button on the key which opens all doors; unlocking the drivers door manually with key which also opens all doors! Hmmm, sounds like guy was trying to baffle me with bullshit ... when in doubt, ask! PM me the details of your installer and I'll get in contact with him.
  4. Thats kinda my thinking too. I have keyless entry. Push button, unlock doors. Simple. So why can't they wire the alarm into this?
  5. Hi guys, I went to book my RS4 in for an alarm fitment to work together with my central locking. Now the staff took down my booking when I agreed on alarm model and price, and only after then did he ask if I had an existing central locking system ... which I had explained to him earlier. This is where it got confusing ... The guy who installs the alarms informed me that another central locking motor is required so the alarm will disarm and unlock the doors at the same time. Now what I don't understand is: why can't they use the existing central locking system? The tech explained to me the drivers door is basically a 'slave' to the other 3 doors. If I fit the alarm without the extra motor, only the other 3 doors will unlock, not the drivers door? How? Why? This he couldn't explain properly. He asked if when I'm in the car and I manually lock my door or unlock it, do the other doors follow or is only the driver's door affected? Yes, was my answer. He thought about it (thought he had me there!) then asked does the key unlocking the passenger door unlock all doors. I said 'no'. Doh, thought he had me again (obviously not giving him the answer he wants). Finally he asks if the remote unlocks one door at a time or all. I said all. Wellllllll ... then the door "only has a slave motor". WTF does that mean? Still no straight answer. He told me all R32, R33, R34 and Stageas do this. Surely, everyone has an alarm on their Skylines/Stageas and can support or oppose this guys explanation? I'm smelling BS. I'm thinking they're milking me. If its not BS can someone explain it to me?
  6. That would be achievable, if somebody didn't nit-pick apart things and blow this thread out into 100 posts. It was explained earlier.
  7. "You're a funny boy Steve " Sorry ... couldn't resist ... picking on your English now
  8. Surprise!
  9. Wait for it ...
  10. If you can get the rear Stag hats on the rear R33 shocks.
  11. Not wanting to waste money on destroying tyres with ridiculous geometry doesn't make us cheap! I think you need to get a grip on reality ... and engineering in general. We're trying to discuss what is street-able as an overall modified package. Not what requires you to clench your teeth and hold your fillings in, and open your wallet after every trip home.
  12. I have two Stags. Work out which one.
  13. Does he ever stop?
  14. *groan* Can we stop quoting "Fast and Furious".
  15. Ha! Nah. I thought about the 2002 Stag long and hard. I haven't finished toying with my current black stag, and I'm not confident there's enough aftermarket bits for the 2003 model, so I'll wait a bit longer. Besides, I'm really lovin the 34 Stag right now.
  16. Gary is right. I just fitted Ohlins coilovers designed for an R33 setup into my S2 Stagea at all 4 corners. I had the rear hats removed and modified by an engineer to change the bolt pattern from 115mm to 80mm, and machine down the hat itself down to 115mm diameter maximum along the mounting bolts length (its actually machined oval shape). Stag now feels mucho better!
  17. One name: Mace! Seriously, if a car has driven past slowly with no lights on ... that sounds suss. Get some friends over as often as you can. Your car might be targetted.
  18. 100% I love proving people wrong, who say it can't be done! If I listened to everyone, I would never have done half the things in my life that I've done. Nor built half the insane projects I have.
  19. Thanks for the positive votes. Yeah, the car was parked on uneven ground, so i should take a better pic of its stance ... but you get the idea. Doesn't look like a 4WD now Bottom line is, its my car, my choice. I like the rims alot. Yes, there are better, but I cannot justify $2500 on mags I do not like 100%. The ROH rims are 'hot' in my opinion. This weekend the Stag gets boost gauge, boost controller and more boost dialed in. And I've also got a HKS turbo lined up.
  20. Thats a bit of a grey area that one. There's no real answer to that one except 'the cop uses his discretion and questions you accordingly'. If its a gun or sword/knife, thats obvious. If its a bat or wooden stick or iron bar, its def suss. If its a club lock or hammer/screw driver, they have no cause for questioning. Personally, I like the use of a 30cm school-type ruler. They are quite an effective weapon when you know how to use them. LOL I got pulled over one time coming back from training with two swords in the boot of my car. They were out of sight anyway so no Qs were asked. Had it come to that, I've got the proper paperwork to get out of trouble. A mate of mine got pulled over after a hunting trip with 5 rifles in the boot. Cops popped the trunk and put all 5 guns on the hood of his car ... right outside a primary school (parents freaking out). My mate asked the cop to at least move the business elsewhere. Cop didn't care at all if the little kiddies were scared. My mate had all the proper registrations and permits anyway (this was before the new guns laws too btw).
  21. I always loved these ones: :laughing-smiley-014:
  22. True. I could have just said 'no' and ignored the prick. But he was tailgating me up West Terrace towards Port Road. He shot past me as we got to Port Road but got caught at the lights. I only took the game as far as 70 kph and backed off, he didn't. I didn't encourage him, as he was driving like a dickhead in the first place. I just took the opportunity to put him in his place. I don't promote drag racing in traffic, and this is one of the rare times I let the hoon outta me. There is no excuse, but the outcome was fun anyway. I've drag raced plenty of times before, so my RT would have been a tad better than his.
