I personally kept away from Extreme clutches when I did my conversion. Ended up with a Nismo kit inc lightened Nismo flywheel which I sent all the kit to ACS for machining. Strong pedal feel, but very forgiving 1200kg kit. Not 'off or on' like most. I've had Extreme clutches in past cars and I haven't been impressed.

Don't get scared off a Nistune based on a "he said they said" basis. Call Nistune themselves and speak to the guys direct. Nistunes retain knock sensing throughout the rev range ... PFC will just flash a light at you.

This would occur with low fuel pressure (ie stock fpr and pump, bigger injectors) rather than higher fuel pressure (adjustable fpr) would it?

Quickie: What do the numbers mean that are on the coil packs of R34 and Stageas? Stagea are marked 922 (I think) but R34 Neo coil packs are marked 933. Any ideas?

How are you doing the test Adam? If you've got the timing marks lined up properly now, no further harm should come from turning the engine over. So you can borrow my cylinder compression gauge which screws into where your plugs go. You may find the leaking cylinders will be either 1&6, 2&5 or 3&4. Very low or no compression on those cylinders will signify where the bent valves are, but you'll need to physically inspect (for example) if its inlets on 1 and exhaust on 6 or vice versa.

Get one with a Lifan 140cc motor if you can. See my mate Brian at East 50s if you can. He sells better bikes than ebay. Or if ur going ebay, try looking for DHZ bikes.

Hey Steve, do you go hunting for clutch topic threads? Ting, Madaz is right. NPC are good clutches and best do it right, do it once. I've had Exedy and Extreme clutches in the past, but I find I hear good things about NPC and Nismo. I've seen Exedy and Extreme clutches die on the track, but my Nismo kit has gone the distance so far in a 204awkw 1650kg Stagea. If you can afford new, get NPC. If you can only afford second hand, find a Nismo HD kit from JIS or JMS, but get the flywheel machined ($90).
