  1. Lots of interest ... but no one serious yet. Cheap brakes at $300!!!!!!! JIS are slogging $650 for the same setup. bump
  2. Scum!
  3. And on that note, I'm going to bed
  4. The basics of it all is: R33 GTST rotors and calipers are a direct bolt on for series 1 Stagea R34 GTT rotors and calipers are a direct bolt on for series 2 Stagea Contrary to what I was told. R33 rotors and calipers do not fit ALL stageas. Think I'll just leave it and get the 325mm Wilwood kit after all
  5. If I machine the R33 rotor down to suit the R33 caliper on the Stagea, I'll have about a 270mm rotor left. Less than the stock 280mm ... thats going backwards. Getting rid of the 33 stuff and hopefully come out of it enough to get the 34 stuff.
  6. Nope. Series 2 R33 GTST calipers and rotors. Pulled them off the vehicle myself. Sumitomo calipers are unfinned and rotors are not 280mm, so therefore definitely R33 GTST calipers and rotors. They do not fit. Might have found a set of R34 GTT calipers and rotors interstate ... so I'll be f**king off this useless set.
  7. Thats not the biggest problem. I wish that that was all I had to do. The legs on the Sumitomo calipers are too short (in radius) meaning even dummying the calipers in place, the 297mm rotors are too large for the calipers suited to them (on the R33, but on the S2 Stag they don't work). I even toyed with dummying in place the 280mm rotors and the calipers still fouled on the rotors (even when I spaced out the offset). So the R33 GTST calipers and 297mm rotors have the right offset, but totally wrong radius (by about 20mm); and The R33 GSTS calipers and Stag 280mm rotors have the wrong offset, and still wrong radius (by about 3mm). Something to do with the 14mm bolt pattern for the calipers being close to the centre of the hub. Well I'm screwed now, because I had a time attack in 3 weeks, and a brake upgrade that isn't working and I've blown money on it already. I'll give the guy you mentioned a go.
  8. No. Far from it. 9. Keep it in your pants Krishy

Now I need these sold to get my R34 GTT calipers and rotors. $300 firm! (inc rotors, calipers, pads, pins, clips) PM me with interests or SMS 0449 928 227
  11. I have R33 GTST brakes for sale fronts only. Sumitomo calipers with pads, and 297mm rotors. Yes, I just discovered these do not fit series 2 Stagea ... but do fit series 1 stagea ... direct bolt on. Now I need these sold to get my R34 GTT calipers and rotors. $300 firm! (inc rotors, calipers, pads, pins, clips) PM me with interests or SMS 0449 928 227
  12. Interested. Will you post to Adelaide? SMS sent too. Ruby
  13. PLEASE let me know if they're not sold ... I will buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Via PM please ... I may not see this topic again.
  14. Abandoned my brake upgrade. Apparently, despite being told otherwise, R33 brakes do not fit all Stageas! Now I need R34 brakes, but I've blown my money on R33 brakes. Can't be f**ked anymore.
  15. +1 I support the new laws ... long time overdue. The log book system sucks arse. The standard of driving has dropped badly. I reckon they should also be re-tested to get off their P plates, as MOST new drivers seem to forget what speed limits and indicators are for the very second they get their license.
  16. Well after all the talk about R33 brakes bolting straight onto my S2 Stagea, I discovered today that I was mis-informed! Got a set of R33 rotors, calipers and new pads ... and just found out for myself I've wasted my money and time trying to fit them today. Is there any option for a 'caliper relocation bracket'? Anyone want to buy an R33 brake kit for their S1 Stagea? Anyone got an R34 setup they want to swap for an R33 setup? Really not happy atm.
  17. Vilis is a local 24 hour cafe located on Manchester Street, Mile End South. The SAU-SA gang usually goes there each Friday from about 7pm onwards.
  18. My opinion is ... don't forget you'll need a vehicle ID inspection when you bring it over. I like car 3 with the mods, but Regency will have a field day with it. Car 4, does have low (questionable) kms. Car 3 gets my vote, as long as you got bits access to, to get the ID inspection done easy.
  19. Going thru an amber light attracts demerit points??? What are you supposed to do ... guess the lights are about to change and start stopping at a green light hoping it goes amber then red, before some car rear ends you? Sounds like BS to me. I'd query that, if you'd been fined on the spot for it.
  20. Gimme the GTR ... I'll be a cute as you want me to be!
  21. Just sit next to Krishy, and breathe heavily his way
  22. Its clear now that he singled me out ... whether it was because I was in a jap car, or in office attire and looking an easy target. I'm sure I wasn't the only one to shake their head at the situation ... and if he's easily upset over a shake of the head, then he needs to HTFU. I was certainly grinding my teeth and counting to 10 over the situation. But he was the type who would just keep mouthing off, whilst walking backwards at the same pace I'd be approaching him. Seen the type many times before. He got his punishment ... I'm happy with that.
  23. Bring that gasket if you do
  24. Still not covered by their professional indemnity insurance.
