  1. 'Cheap' and 'reliable' don't really go together. If its mostly easy street driving, then any common-brand pad will do. SAU-SA members get 10% off at Autobahn if you want to go with Bendix or another brand. That 10% off would probably pay for your membership with the savings. I'm going for QFM pads once I've upgraded my brakes (hopefully this weekend coming). Can be had for cheap on ebay.
  2. I have a hydraulic jack also, 2 stands, compressor, and an OK sized tool kit. Will bring the lot.
  3. I could make myself free Saturday morning. I'll need to do work around my house extension in the arvo. We can get alot done in the morning. Two people is better than one, and I can get you onto certain jobs to save time. I'll PM you my mobile number and we'll work it out from there. If its got power, would it then have a bar fridge with beer? Anybody else want to lend a hand?
  4. Gepps Cross is just up the road from me. I can help out if you wish ... but can only do so on weekends at this stage. If the site has power, I have a compressor and rattle gun that can make short work of everything.
  5. Sorry mate, I know you meant well, but I wasn't convinced this was arranged properly. Even a practice day/track day requires fire marshalls and an ambulance on standby (at the venue, not off the property) ... and liability issues (insurance) accounted for. Remember the saying that: motorsport is dangerous. Obtaining a CAMS permit shows you've got the services arranged and ready at the venue, and that CAMS officials are in attendance to provide support on the day (unless otherwise provided for my the venue. In this case, I don't think Tailem Bend does, but Mallala (Clem) can cover this, for a fee). Don't think I'm having a go at you ... I'm all for more track day opportunities, but not at any driver's safety. Before you question my credibility, I've been a race official for the past 9 years (motorcycle and cars, local and interstate). I'm a licensed CAMS official (and competitor, holding a L2S licence) and I correspond with CAMS regularly. If you want any advice or contact details on who from CAMS is best to see to your needs, just shoot me a PM.
  6. O ... M ... G ... ! I just jizzed in my pants
  7. Eli, does this event have a CAMS permit yet? I don't think CAMS would be happy with a combined drift/grip day. Have you got organised fire and ambos too, as well as the required CAMS licensed officials to be present? If you've hired the track for the day, I'd like to know (as I'm sure others would also) these services were available if I were to attend such an event.
  8. Back on topic. I'll dig up/take more decent pics of the Stagea and get some to you for your selection flick.
  9. You "borrow" that, and I'll definitely "steal" it
  10. And the remedy is right here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/post-a256660-
  11. Considering that they are club shirts ... yes
  12. After tonight, I'll have the club shirts with me ... and I'm in the Mansfield Park area after hours, or near the Eastwood area during normal business hours. Just get in contact with me if you want to arrange a pick up.
  13. Did I hear the club shirts will be available for anyone who can make it to Vilis tonight? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...ec-t325388.html
  14. The snorkel will not fit. I have a 33 snorkel ... if I can have the stagea snorkel
  15. +1 The 3" system on my Stagea was originally for an R33. Just added a longer section in the middle, via a Berklee resonator, and all was sweet.
  16. Just bear with me for a bit. I'm sussing out another option. Holding a drift day for 10 entrants gets heavy on the cash for the entrants. I may have a cheaper option in mind. Need to discuss with the Committee first.
  17. Keep ya skirts on people ... an announcement will be made soon on the next track day when we can work out a date that doesn't clash with other events (by either SAU-SA or another party).
  18. Yeah, I usually have a good laugh at the FS threads that are 2 years or older, with the poster asking if its still for sale Tho I'm sure I've done that myself
  19. I'm relaxed I thought I'd pointed the guy in the best direction I could, as well as making him aware it was an old thread ... and we don't tolerate that here Jokes son of rajab knows what response he would have gotten if Damo or Kidafa got in first
  20. This is the fun part. Your coilpacks sit on top of the spark plugs. You'll need to remove the cross-over pipe to the intake manifold, and various other little hoses that connect around it. Then remove the coilpack cover on top of the engine (wouldn't bother putting it back on ... helps keep the coilpacks cooler). Once the cover is off, you'll see the coil packs. Each of the 6 coilpacks are bolted down by 2 x 10mm bolts. Unplug the loom/connectors to the coilpacks, then remove coilpacks. While you are there, might as well put in a fresh set of plugs, seeing as you've come all this way. Hope this helps.
  21. This is an old thread you brought back from the grave. You can ask this kind of question in the wasteland thread, or check the Yellow Pages for any alloy welders (head work etc) that can do the job.
  22. You've seen the movie Death Race right?
  23. Sounds good. Might come out for a look-see
