  1. I believe its an offset of 35 and width of 8.5" ... I will double check today.
  2. I've lost two friends at the gorge (and thats just the tip of the iceberg). I've got other mates who still ride thru there taking unnecessary risks, but they are amazing roads and sometimes even I get caught up in the moment. Recently I've had two friends crash along the gorge and the other roads around the area. Yes, motorcyclists should slow down ... but most and young and invincible. Its great to see that the MRA (Motorcycle Riders Association) take the safety risks of the barriers seriously and have done something about it.
  3. I'm interested in another set of rims. I have a brake upgrade coming. Whilst I'm told it will fit my 17" BBS rims, I might still source there 18" rims I am looking at for max clearance. Problem is, the budget is blown on the brakes. I'm selling my BBS RG-R rims with good tyres for $1700. Only getting the 18s if the 17s sell. Going to trial fit the 18s this week. Ebay US and AU have these rims only (no tyres) going from $1700. PM me for pics and interest.
  4. I'm sure I'll still have my Stagea then Black series 2, bodykit ... should also have a full respray by then too. Jokes
  5. Yeah, definitely a good idea. I remember some years ago seeing a guy badly smash up his legs, with multiple compound fractures. Saw the whole crash and stuck around for about half an hour holding the broken pieces together waiting for the ambulance to hurry up and get there, and trying to keep the guy alive. He survived, but lost one leg. If those barriers (skirts) were in place, he might have stood a better chance of keeping his leg and minimising his internal injuries. Those wire barriers are far far worse. There is not much on the roads that are motorcyclist friendly.
  6. I'm thankful someone is doing something. They're to protect sliding motorcyclists from hitting the armco posts. I've seen first hand how much damage those barriers can do to a sliding human body. They cater for cars, not motorcycles. Those 'skirts' are an awesome idea. Not the greatest things on earth, but better than nothing.
  7. I might be in on this. I can bring the Stagea for the display, but need to check with the missus tonight. But I'm 75% in.
  8. Ooo ... that could be dangerous! Hide my credit cards
  9. I'm only 38, but also willing to help where I can ... for SA
  10. Enquire with Iron Chef ... he could do better than Sinergy I'm sure.
  11. Arrrrrgh no! My favourite pub has burnt down to the ground!!! http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/05/22/2906491.htm The Isle of Wight on Phillip Island burnt down over the weekend. The only real pub on PI and with over 140 years of history, and racing memorabilia destroyed. Not happy. Had alot of good memories and parties in that pub ... met a few of the international racers there too over my 9 years attending.
  12. I pulled up next to you at the end of freeway lights (start of Glen Osmond Road into the city). I tootted you just as you got the green light to turn, ignored me and drove off!
  13. Funny: Bloody lucky:
  14. You can't run anyone down in mummy's car
  15. Yes ... yes you should
  16. Yeah seen that plenty of times. Funny as. Reminds me of my Grandfather. He was a boxer in WW2 and he could still hit em hard before he died at 82yo.
  17. True. They refused to believe at all that they were breaking the law and driving in a dangerous manner. And that wanker of a ring leader, reckons he's an expert driver after driving for 3 years?!!
  18. First to Hahndorf still gets the better parking spot Pete, we could have the meet spot at your driveway and you'd still complain its too far to travel
  19. +1 It was exactly what I expected from TT.
  20. +1 But I know I'm going to watch it anyway, just to see what they've got to say.
  21. Ride a mountain bike to the gym ... there's your cardio workout sorted!
  22. Do I bring out the Brutale or the Stagea? Guess its the Stagea. Shoulder is a bit sore, and its meant to be a bit wet on Sunday.
  23. Well done Dale. I've lost some weight (about 7-8 kgs) this year. Slowly put the weight on after becoming inactive due to a bike crash. Got tired of what I saw in the mirror. So I started hitting up the protein drinks as a substitute for a meal. Then really started getting back into training and hitting the weights at home. I'm back down to a more Ruby-friendly 75kg rather than 83kg. I would have lost more, but been turning most fat into muscle.
