Rb25det S1 And S2 Power Differences
lachlanw replied to Primowave's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
the only diff between series 1 and 2 was the coils . they got the ignitor inside them instead of a stand alone one . they made the same power and torque . and what is up with your stats above ? they were identical . and if you bring the neo into this at would be series 3. and they are FAR superior -
4 comes from nipple on comp housing 3 goes to solenoid 2 goes from solenoid to BOV return pipe and im pretty sure there is a restrictor in pipe 4 or is that only on manuals (to achieve ten psi) sound about right ?

Choosing A New Clutch For An Rs4s
lachlanw replied to Raysboostin's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
my clutch in on the way out slowly aswell . in 2wd duing a launch /skid take off it will spin the wheels in first , slap second and it spins the clutch. but in 4wd it does mint launches( hardle ever eg done 5 in 6 months) good controlled amount of slippage and prefect launch from 4k and then into second it doesnt slip . im looking at getting a cushioned button clutch . so its gonna be nice and bitey , not a complete pain in the arse everyday and last a while . i acctually enjoy driving a brass clutch . flat mate has a done up rex with a lightened flywheel and a brass puk clutch and i enjoy driving it like its normal . so has anyone decided which model clutch we need ? only real info i found was one website that actually had rb25det AWD had it lumped in with 260RS and r34gtr . the exedy UK website has listings for the 260RS under its model selector -

is the "cold air intake pipe " not the pipe between the air filter/afm and the intake of the turbo ? eg no boost . are you talking about one of your intercooler pipes . a hard piping kit. as for some sugestions in no particular order . tape and a hose clamp right on top of the crack , slide a silicone joiner down the pipe till its over the crack and hose clamp it . cut the pipe and join it with a silicon joiner . epoxy/instant metal/real glues. they are all pretty back yard / emergency . i would just get it welded . should only cost like ten bucks cash if you take it to the right shop

Hi New Here What Kind Of 1/4times Do U Think This Will Pull
lachlanw replied to r32gtrgold's topic in Introduce yourself
anyone else think more in the "fuel pump" department is gonna be needed ? not bein smart just the only thing that caught my attention -
air flow meter . end of storey . does it sound like a rotary with a lumpy idle when you try drive it and it bunny hops?
-
make sure your waste gate flapper valve isnt hitting on anything inside your dump pipe . eg pull the actuator off and make sure you can flap the little arm all the way round
-
when you try to drive it it will not rev very high and will sound like a lumpy rotary engine
-
and yes use new head bolts . they are torque to yield . eg snap if you re use them

Ignition Timing On S2 Neo Engine
lachlanw replied to stageaERIN's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
unplug the TPS aswell as it cancels the self learning . and do use the blue wire . if it says it in the r34 service manual i would use it . have to reset the ecu after you plug the TPS back in tho or the hicas light will come on because it relies on info from the TPS -
stagea's and ruts dont mix . anyone else looked under the back of a RS four S and noticed the hicas motor points straight down and is about 4 inches lower than the diff . stupid really . really stupid when you look at a skyline one and all the motor and stuff points backwards from the rack and does not affect ground clearance at all . yeah i took it up a 4wd track to get to lock katrine . the track is not very bad at all . no mud or big rocks just quite undulating and fine if you drive on the high spots . i only managed to scrape the muffler once . nothing else hit the ground but yeah the hicas got the electric motor ripped off it and the rack bent backwards till it hit the fuel tank and the wheels did what they wanted . kicked it forward and tied it to the diff mounts with some fence wire and managed to get home . have found a perfectly good series 2 hicas rack for 50 bucksk so ill slap that in and if it doesnt work it will be turned into a lock bar with the aid of some washers whats the go with the electronics behind the hicas when people have fitted a lock bar ? other than removing the light on the dash . like pull out the fuses and relays or leave them ? get some pics up later when i pull it all apart

if god created the top half of a woman , who created the bottom half? must have been a maori , why else would it have big lips , black curly hair and smell like fish heads.

"I used to own a GTI-R and I reckon the Stagea feels far more settled in the corners at speed." do you drink double brown ? or buller red band ?
