  2. Yeah thats why i got the daughter board put in as i still have injectors and z32 to go and probably a front mount later on. Drives, idles and performs great now and ecconomy as a lot better than b4. Can some1 let me know what the advantage of a power fc over a remap (from a tuners point of view) besides the hand controller (honest question)
  3. Spend $1000 for r33 ecu with daughter board $200 for a tune Save the remaining $1000 you would have spent and buy some injectors and z32 AFM Instal and drive!!!

  6. Go get your standard ecu remapped. I cant see any downside to it except if you needed some higher end functions like launch control, anti lag and flat shift. I have an r33 s2 with a dr drift remap and it runs, idles, cold starts perfectly!
  7. Another option is to do what i did and go on US ebay and buy pretty much any nissan 3 wire o2 sensor. Cost me under $60 delivered and plugs straight in withought having to stuff around with modding a falcon one James
  8. ARE do a lot of in house R&D......BUT you pay out your arse for it. For $60 i would try it. You can always get the outlets changed around to suit. I wonder if it would fit where the standard SMIC is?? I would be interested if it did.

  12. I looked again and nothing. There is a blanked out area on the left hand side under steering wheel but no switch there. There shouldnt be anything wired in because i had my ecu changed (exchanged) when i got a dr drift remap 1 month ago. I'm off to work today so wont be able to have a look for another 11 days

  14. Hello all, As the title states after i reset my ecu yesterday my S2 R33 stays on for 2 minutes after i pull the key out! Before i start it i can turn ignition on and off no problems but once its started i have to wait 2 minutes for it to turn off. Any ideas James (There is no turbo timer that i know off)

  17. Got it from ebay. Found our old laptop with a serial port and it still didnt work! Any ideas?
  18. Went for a nice drive today (around 100km easy driving) and a couple of km from home the rear end kicks out for a second and then steering goes hard!!! I was doing around 50km/hr in a tight road works area and the back just steered out...i nearly hit the barrier. I figure there is a problem with HICAS so i head home with heavy and slightly off centre steering turn the car off and reset ecu. Start it back up and hicas light still on. Reset ecu again and light has gone off and steering seems back to normal, turn ignition off and the car stays on!!!!!! I stall it and try again and the same this is happening. I reset ECU again and seems fine....go for a spin and everything is fine, pull up in garage turn off and it stays on again for 2 minutes and then turns off. I start it again and it wont turn off until 2 minutes!!!!! Any idea what has just happend???? There is no turbo timer that i know of!!!! I have done searches but no real help. Thanks in advance James PS: I checked power steering fluid and its fine. I wasnt doing anything different when the back end kicked out except it happened right as i turned the rear wiper on!!!!!!
  19. Yes i have a few times but i think it might be the problem. I found an updated vista driver on the net so hopefully that works
  20. I got my consult cable in the mail today and then realised i had to go out and get a USB to rs232 converter to allow it to plug into my laptop. Anyway i opened up the program and plugged it in and nothing happened!! It has a little LED on the plug but that doesnt light up! I have a remapped ECU but it should still work. I plugged it into my Patrol and it didnt work either. Anyway i can test it? Cheers James

    Weigh Bridge

    I weigh my patrol at BP in Fitzgerald road in laverton. Cant do corners but can do axels!! I go when its not busy, ask first and they dont charge me......or you can just drive on the weighbridge, go inside and look at the screen behind the cashiers head and it has the weights there!
  22. Mine was doing this last week. I changed the o2 sensor (could see it rich at idle on dyno) and its fixed the problem. I didnt think it was the problem but turned out to be!!
  23. Mine did that a few times the other day. Only happend at very light throttle.
  24. Just wondering how i can test my standard BOV. Doesn't do anything wrong i just want to know if its working correctly. When it was on the dyno we couldnt hear anything so i'm assuming it works but would just like to make sure its all good. Cheers James
