  1. The way i understand it is that if you have one wheel in the air a traditional LSD will still act as a single spinner as it needs some resistance to transfer torque to the other wheel.

  3. ^^^^Dont laugh mine was doing the same a few months ago. I ended up reseting the computer a few times and it went away. Mine would stay on for 2 minutes and yes no turbo timer!!

  6. Can some1 explain what makes the remaps like this less suitable once the power starts to climb past a certain level? WHat does the remap have trouble doing? Also is any software able to be programmed into the remaps ie launch control? Cheers James PS: I have a dr drift remap and am very happy with teh results. While i was away at work my mrs fillied up with some 95 fuel. When i came home and took it for a spin it was boosting a lot less because of the knock control. Asked her what she done and found out about the wrong fuel. Could have ended badly for me!!

  9. Yeah its making 250rwkw now so hopefully i can get a little more. What would it cost me to upgrade teh rear housing??

  12. Also i'm lead to beleive that my 0.62 rear housing is holding me back in regards to top end power (is there any way of testing which side is hiolding me backCan anything be done to get some more out of it or do i have to bite the bullet and upgrade to a 0.82 (or whatever it is). Thanks James
  13. Hello all, I thought i would dig up an old thread. Have since apgraded injectors AFM and have a blitz front mount and its currently making around 250rwkw on 15psi. Anyway from other ppls results i have seen that with the 0.62 rear housing this turbo doesnt make much more after around 16psi which i'm nearly at. My question is it worth fitting an adjustable ex cam gear to this setup and getting a retune? I'm running the standard air box with a k&n filter and standard everything else. Thanks again James PS: i did a search but most of the results were in regards to stock turbos. Thought mine might be a little different

  15. Probably around 10psi. Buy an r34 side mount and dont worry about a front mount if your keeping the standard turbo. James PS: I have one for sale

  20. Sorry cant apload graph so i have just written down a few points. My intake was sucking shut and hitting a wall at 5750rpm, its now sorted and pulls nice to 7200rpm. I also had missing troubles which seem to be sorted aswell. At 16PSI it was as follows 150rwkw at 3600 200rwkw at 4600 247rwkw at 5750 I'm not arguing anything as i have only driven this car but it seems to go well enough for me. If there are better alternatives for similar price then i would go for them. What exactly is the gt3040 and what makes it a bad choice (the car came with this turbo). Cheers James PS: Car is stock besides front mount 3" exhaust, supporting mods and remap.
  21. Not sure of the specs on my gt3040 but it starts boosting around 2400 and hits 15psi by 3100 so i wouldnt call it laggy. Not sure how it compares in top end though
  22. Feels good with 250 but i want more lol. I'm still only running around 15psi so there is a little more room to play with. Hey "Gotrice" are you running the stock turbo? If so would be maxing out around 190-200rwkw. When running 10-15rwkw more than that mine would only start to get hot on a dyno when it had repeated runs. Did you have any ducting to concentrate air on the cooler? There has to be a change in throttle response considering all the extra pipe and cooler that now has to be pressurised!
  23. Just to add i ended up pushing just over 235rwkw through my r34smic however after a few dyno runs it did get pretty bad heat soak. I had a thermo fan on it but that struggled to push enough air through such a thick core. I have now put a front mount and it has gained a lot but there is more lag!! I think you would be crazy to run a front mount on a stock turbo just for the sake of having one. The response was so much better b4 and was more fun to drive as it had little lag and hit a lot harder (break traction but with less power). My car is obviously faster now (running around 250rwkw) but comes on softer. Cheers PS: I hve an r34smic for sale if anyone wants one
