  5. as the title says...... finding this curious and want to know why this happens....
  6. Sounds like the car is scraping somewhere when i turn sharply to the right, i mean super sharp on the verge of loosing the back.... Only got 17's on my R33 Gtst series 2, cannot see any visible scrape marks under the front wheel arch or the gtr front bar.... Only happens when i turn right sharply, usually i wouldnt bother about it but im enetering a texi event in August and wandering if anyone else has had this prob.... Suspension is standard, wheels are 17's gtr copies, suspension seems fine.....

  10. yeah my series 2 gtst has the eaxact same surface rust..... just how the buggers are.... i'd only really worry about rust if you see it bubbleing and going down deep..... usually first place serious rust starts on our imports is under the wheel arches where the japs throw salt on the icy roads to reduce the slipperyness of the roads.....
  11. Cant remember which ones i got, but they were NGK iridium or platinum but both are very good.... Also if you weren't firing on all 6 cylinders you would notice the car shake, it will loose allot of power, and it would sound like a WRX out the exhaust.... You would definately know if a spark plug isn't working....
  12. interesting but getting money from the local governments at the moment is going to be like getting blood from a stone, and if it does make it into any such court hearings, is it going to be worth your time??? by all means go ahead and try and get the money back for damages, but if you can afford it. If you do it and others follow with similar situation, then it might mean sydney's roads might be half decent in no time.... they are a discrace at the moment and really are a safety hazard, increase risk of accidents and what not.... Its sad to say that the only way our roads will get repaired properly is when someone prooves that they were driving correct, had enough distance between, not speeding, and the evidence proves that if the road was in a reasonable condition the accident (or Death) would have been avoided. And most of the potholes and shitty road we have is because they repair pipes and stuff under the road, cut out the base concrete layer of the road, then when there finnished they top it up with sand and pour bitchumen over the top of it. After a month that part of the road has sunk a good couple of inches from where the road should be. but what can we do? we dont have a say of how they "waste" our tax dollars.... Good luck with it Michael
  13. Spotted a bright purple (not electric purple) r33 at menai maccas yesterday, got a pic of it but im lazy and will post it later...
  14. i'll see how the car goes thismorning on the cold start up,,,, maybe it was a once of, maybe all the oil was way at the bottom of the engine or something yesterday
  15. just bumping this up 9 months from the past but i now have the same problem, Happend this morning on my R33 gtst, it was very cold this morning and sound happend for about the first 5 mins after starting.... Question is to delta force or anyone else who solved their problem.... did the ticking sound come back when the oil got alittle older??? Mine was only changed 2k ago, had the car for a year and a half and first ive heard of the sound... only used elf semi synth but not sure on the grade of it....
  16. im going to holland in a month.... 6th-10th of july.... staying in amsterdam... your car looks very clean and tidy, if i see your car i'll give you a wave
  17. I havent come across any skyline, turbo or not that doesnt smell like fuel while idleing..... +1, i recon its more likely than not your 02 sensors, everyone forgets to change them but nissan recomends changing them every 40 000km or so.... mines not a gtr but when i first got the car i was getting 250ishkm/tank.... change the ot sensor, new spark plugs, throtle body clean, afm clean and now up to 500km/tank while running 10psi boost and about 200rwkw, if i drive it harder i still get 400km/tank at worst....
  18. yup i agree with this response....
  19. spotted a canary yellow R33 at about 1pmish on woodville road guildford
  20. yay you confirmed what ive done to my car and i did it because i sat down and thought of it logically.... big power amp/speakers/subs, and a japanese headunit coz they look pretty and the pioneer list of sound processors was the longest (eg. the things that say mosfet, super tuner III, eeq bla bla bla lol)
  21. here sam i fixed up your last comment for you free of charge
  22. yup money in the front speakers..... how often are you driving from the back seat???? suffer without the bass for a while untill you can put in a decent sub/subs... Ive gone with MTX, yes there expensive but when i sit in someone who has a whole pioneer system it irritates me when you turn it up loud and sony from personal experience is rubish.... Still i like the pioneer head units
  23. 14ish months ago i got a profesional installer to put in a rhino alarm, Aus standards, took him 3 ish hours to install it, it has worked fine for 14motnhs but it has now stuffed up. It came with central locking but he recons he had to install another central locking mechanism to get the passenger door to lock and unlock simultaneously.... anyway this guy dissapeared a long time ago and ive been chasing him on and off (half heartedly) for a year trying to get an insurance certificate for the alarm with no success. The well know import car mob who i paid and they sub contracted have no idea where hes gone but they recon he has just dissapeared... Symptoms: Press lock on the keypad and the locks click but they dont lock. the cabin light used to turn off after locking and arming the alarm but now it stays on (coincidence???) at first i noticed only the drivers door wouldnt lock and i could manually lock it with the key or by hand from inside the car, the passenger door originally had no such problems, but now both doors don't lock and cannot even manually lock the car.... The alarm still works, it arms fine, and when you trip the alarm it still sirens.... dont know if imobiliser still works but looks like it still might seeing as the alarm is still working. what to do???? What sounds to be the fault??? anyone in sydney?
  24. anything happen at this?
