I'm almost 100% sure (definately for all the insurance companies i used) that they wont cover it if your going to admit you didnt have an australian standards immobiliser.... if i were you right now i'd conveniiantly say nothing about its security and hope it either comes back in one piece/ or never comes back at all, depending on your insurance wording... hope it comes back to you in the way you left it the night before it went walkabout

hey i'm not just a pretty face..... bought my car from a very small importer..... i din't care, aslong as the car was good. I could have bought it from satan himself, but if the car is in good condition, then theres nothing to worry about....

theres a good r34 importer???? There all the same, its a big lucky dip, sometimes good and sometimes bad, if they do get a bad car comming in, they arn't going to send it back. On the whole the guys mentioned bring in decent conditioned cars but keep an open mind. Ive heard good and bad stories from all the companies mentioned above (some are from prsonal experience and others are from friends and other forum threads dedicated to good/bad experiences with these guys). Don't worry too much about the dealer, look more for how the car drives, how it sounds, how it feels. At the end of the day they are used car dealers and will peddle anything that they are stuck with, so really you should go out and see these guys ,but cut out the crap that comes from their mouths and make your own decision. Warrantees are not worth the paper they are written on, and have plenty of extra cash lying around incase something stuffs up on your 10 or 11 year old r34, like a clutch is the main culprit, no one knows how long the clutch will last if they dont know the history, and they arnt cheap to replace. If i were you i'd find cars forsale on SAU forum, then you have a history of what people have done to their cars, already published online, you can see if they maintain it, how they drive it, if its had any problems or any upcomming problems..... you can also talk to forum members who may know of the car and give feedback about it. goodluck End of the day keep an open mind, ignore what the dealers say, always haggle the price down, if you get a decent saving from excluding a warrantee then do that because they will fight tooth and nail to avoid a warantee job, besides they dont cover, tyres, belts, transmission, clutch ect..... and these are things that usually go wrong on the car. RB engines themselves are pretty reliable, everything else you can test the car to feel if it will have a problem later down the track (well atleast reduce the risk of buying a lemon).

is the pod cover still available? is it made for standard pipes or aftermarket intercooler?

you cant say its a waste of money, its just over priced for what they are.... and they dont create deposits, if anything they help burn the build up and clear it away.... it definately reduces knocking which on a track day could save your engine, not everyone tunes their car every time they throw on new bits... fuel is never at a constant ron rating.... sometimes we will think we're buying 98 ron but we get 97, sometimes its 99, if a car is tuned at 99 and you get a 97 ron in it you will feel if not hear the difference.... then octane booster will help aswell. ive only used the stuff once and the car does run smoother, but thts in my car, yours may behave different. either way the stuff is too expensive for what it is

Is it ok to run 245/45 r17 on the front and 255/40 r17 on the back? i'm talking about the side wall height..... not the width of the tyre cheers

32.75 on morning course 2..... and that was in the morning when the track was still wet.... top gear style 32.75 WET time lol 4th overall, very pleased on my first event not to mention tied 1st in the battles event..... ( and quietly beat a gtr and an s13 with his tein suspension stickers lol. But i did loose to a woman, although she had the advantage of 550bhp) seriously it was an awesome day and i hope we are allowed to use nirimba again.... i guess in that vid most of them look like boy racers and probably are..... who would modd a carola front wheel drive, or a charade if they weren't a boy racer.... if they were legit they'd get a better car lol
