it seems that one of the bearings or something in there is out of place.... i wouldnt waste time throwing a standard one in if your paying for the labour to get it done.... they should pick up any probs while installing it.... also does the car make a sound like a cricket on a summer night?? if it does its definately the thrust bearing. also i wouldnt go out and get a massively over killed clutch on a NA skyline.... i got an exedy heavy duty installed in my r33 gtst.... $600 includeing labour about a year ago, only running at 200rwkw but im sure thats more than ur NA anyway and i have never slipped once.... with the stock clutch it slipped all the time down at 160rwkw.... if you go for sum super dooper clutch worth 1000's, you might aswell throw on rocket jets to the side of the car and never turn them onn. or spend 1000's upgrading the standard gearbox to a much stronger one that can handle over 1000rwkw easy, even though it is a massive ammount of overkill... my opinion from what ive done but go for nothing more than an organic hd coz waering of a clutch has more to do with sliping than anything else... also the exedy hd drives as soft as the nissan factory clutch with heaps more clamping power, more than enough for an NA.

knowing me i'll come along..... then stop at berrowra waters and start fishing.... anyone is welcome to join me

why bother.... $20 for the bottle that will last you at least 20 cars life spans and 2 mins of your time every 6 months is fine...... recon that would be cheaper and just as effective....... plus you get the feeling of making something ugly become beautiful again lol

relax guys..... he's just shitty that he's been done and its allot of wasted time and effort clearing the probs while there are a million other cars worthy of defects driving all around him, and i know he's thinking.... "why the hell can he drive with that..." sort of mind set... everyone take a chill pill besides a bald tyre in the dry is allot more grippy than a fresh tyre because it has more surface area in contact with the ground... untill you hit the cloth and steel or it starts raining.... then its like driving on ice... also there are people getting away with dodgier things than seats and tyres..... i couldnt afford to repair my faulty front brakes on my kia rio so i relied on dropping gears (in auto), driving slow, and handbreaking for 3 months.... now the same prob is back 6 months later. lucky i got the line now lol..... bloody dodgy kia breaks
-
i didnt even know they were out yet.....
-
not a line spot but spotted a 4wd towing a boat on a trailer pop off its right wheel at thompsons corner penno hills road while it was still driving.... the tyre/wheel came flying across the road and i missed it by a few meters, and the wheel arch went up bout 5 meters in the air..... sparks sparks and more sparks.... oh it was thursday night bout 12:20..... poor buggers

go back to melbourne, when i used to live there they would let any car in almost any condition (even with heaps of rust) road worthy.... don't know if its changed now but i'm only talking bout 10 years ago....
-
argh!!!! i still havent seen an aussie deliverd r35 on the road yet and i do +500km a week
-
i was about to say, edwards has a terrible reputation over the last year ive noticed them,,,, prestige has ok cars depending on the car you get, but they were a good 2-3k more expensive than everyone else back at the end of 2007-beginning of 2008.... if the price is the same as everyone else then i recon get it from them coz they are better than allot of other places for quality of the cars....

spotted a few today on my excursion to the coast. black r33 series 1 with fmic and missing half the front bar on the entrance road just outside the entrance at about 1.30ish merone R33 with number plate QIK.25T parked near kfc at the entrance. then while fishing on tuggerah perade and the entrance road (quiet end), there was a black r34 gt 4 door and a black r32 gts (green p's) driving around. wyong road at about 4.45pm a burnt orange r33 gtst thinnk it was missing most of the front and the rear spoiler -

go to the tracks next time....
-
it will keep cracking and splitting, i had the same prob with mine (333gtst) for months, i just kept cutting and sticky taping (coz im lazy) but then it was even easier to buy a meter of new hose (similar diametre), took about 10 mins all up to redo them, i even took out the black box where one end of the hose connects to.... cost me about $2 or something. I just went to repco in dural and did it.....
-
not me, but if hes on here id like to know where he got the 400r front bar from
-

i never saw it done to mine, but mine was done in 2 hours with a heavy duty exedy.... and the place didnt have an engine crane either.... so im pretty sure you dont move the engine at all....

Popping Noises From Exhaust On Down Shift.
Kujotk replied to iseekool's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
its good on a cruise through the gorge around hairpins and you are hearing 15 cars one after another start making pop sounds..... love it -
spotted this silver r34 gt 4 door on red p's on friday night going down lane cove road at about 7:15 ish....
-
i agree hus7lr but private property...... 2 or 3 streets later..... anyway if they wanted to they could give a defect for things (standard things under the bonnet) looking too shiny and there fore must be aftermarket.... (gets cleared but a massive hassel) Lets not forget what happend at one of those stupid night shift events about a year ago at homebush, dozens and doznes of cars were defected, riot squad and an all out blitz on a "safe event"... plenty of fellas on here were done aswell... on another note its good that cops were notified about the meeting because they are more than likely to be leanient and turn a blind eye.... (to cars that arn't dead on super low, or dangerous). have fun and hope the SAU guys stay safe and trouble free. enjoy the movie and its the pricks that hoon around and do burnouts and street race that wrecked modifying (or atleast made us wary and parranoid), and made cops defect happy.
-
if he's like me he doesnt like the contents under the bonnet getting exposed to water every time it rains (or even now when the temperature is lower and dew is around at nights).... only vent i want is something small over the air filter, like one wrx rail vent (not the scoop). All the bonnets ive come across have too many vents and scoops.....
-
its being held by 2 screws now...... got it caught on some long grass going up my driveway lol
-
hahahah ive narrowed it down to one who ive tried many times (in the hills area) to get them to see my car for various issues.... ive Never been taken seriously by them, they just want to do easy/big profit margin, or complete set ups..... and there is another one alittle further west from the one i was talking about above and they are worse from my experience..... my advice is take your car for a drive, dont settle for the hills shops or surrounding areas....
