$20 its the 02 sensor, especially if it hasnt been changed...... diconecting it wont change a thing if its not working in the first place paulr32...... what ever it ends up to be is just general standard maintenance anyway..... alll these things should be done anyway

never been told about this before but i always turn accesories on for a few seconds before cranking it over, stock fuel pump but i can hear things swithcng on before i crank it..... stock or not theres no harm in having everything set up for a couple of seconds before the power is drawn to the coils and what have youfor the task that drains the battery pretty quickly for a start

i'm in but at jem they said i had some high end pinging and that thing sitting at the front of the rb25 engine had to be moved clockwise by a mm or something, the guy just loostend the bolts and tapped it around a few times with a spanner and said that should be it...... he didnt re dyno it to see if the pinging did go away.... if its not it and the guys at uas says there some pinging and that thing needs to be moved around again will they do it???? it only takes a minute to do but you need a dyno to know if the prob has been fixed..... i really dont care if they wanna charge me for another dyno run (id rather they didnt charge me for another run) aslong as the prob is fixed because at the moment i'm advised not to let the revs get past 7000rpm or risk damage to the head gaskets or something..... also should have a fmic by then, mabey a boost controller

yeah i got there right at 10 aswell, i was number 16 but didn't get on the dyno till 4:20..... was thrilled when my baby got on lol but next time i do think it should stay first in first served, if you have other appointments then you miss out, thats what lifes about,,,, should't really have your cake and eat it aswell,,,, and really if somebody did have to do something in the morning but were dieng to get a dyno run they should have been there right at 9am to get dynoed and not come in at number 28 and so on and expect to cut inline, not really cool.... just something to keep in mind for next time i guess

i probably spotted the same black 350gt, driving up monavale road, followed eachother for ages at about 12ish..... spotted a black r32 broken down on monavale road at st ives i think it was overheated, owner didnt look too happy though also spotted another black r32 driving the opposite side to me going down forrest way road

that white thing was off its nuts, and if it wasnt for ther stickers and the black bonnet it would look like a sleeper..... sleeper all the way... hamish how come you didn't hang with the other sau guys????? we had front row action lol

you would hear a vacume leak though.... i did with mine..... clean afm, change plugs,clean throttle body, do you have standard bov? i recon the most important culprit is the 02 sensor..... that $70 f#&ker stuffs things up when not working,,,,,, fixed my idle prob and now gives me better fuel economy...

great day out, just gota get a high end ping worked out other than that my cars in great nik, exhaust and apixi air filter = 160kw better than i thought..... sarkis i was told by the guy behind the table this arvo that the mainline 4wd dyno stuffed up after my run, they couldnt print my graph off and i sorta need it to try and fix the pinging and that.... they said they would send it to you or give it to you and you could email it to me.... its under Thomas, dyno run was at about 4ish....

doesn't sound like anything bad, i have that aswell and especially when i'm dropping gears down a steep hill, i was told it happens when the car is running rich????? dont know if this is true but if you listen around most skylines do it.... on one of the sydney cruises i was following DRDOOF and his car doesn't stop popping down steep hills, i think its a good sound lol although thats assuming your car is backfireing for the same reason as ours....

a VW golf deisel produces less carbon dioxoide than the so called "green prius" in city driving and highway driving... Prius = Fail and the people who buy then = fail for getting sucked into the hype and not doing thier research properly think about it your going to buy the prius for its economy and environment benefits, not its looks or performance..... and it doesnt even do that properly

driving to uni today on Aderton road at dundas and while i was being waved through by the guy holding the stop/slow sign as i drove by him he said "very very nice line". just wanna say if your on here thanks for the comment, i felt good all day aboout it lol. 2 comments in 3 weeks now, atleast this guy was nicer than the concreter lol

his car is black so its allot easier for him to get away with it especially at night...... i was thinking about getting some carbon onto mine because the bloody r33 bonnet weighs a tonne, its allot of overkill compared to something like a 180sx..... my mate has a 180 and his standard bonnet weighs about half of mine, my doors are twice as heavy atleast,,,, but then again my car is heaps quiter in the cabin then his...

it depends what has f**ked up in your turbo,,,,, yes you can drive some turbos around that are blown with no probs..... but no you cannot drive every blown turbo without something else getting damaged...... its a risk you have to deide on,,,,,, we are on the forums, havent seen your car, havent seen what damge has been done..... maby your mechanic is right but what if hes wrong???? allot of people on this forum know quite a lot more than allot of mechanics around and some of them are mechanics on here... for example i dont know guilt_toy from a bar of soap but from what ive worked out he is really into his car and experiments with it, this guy knows these cars inside out and if you are going to be online here asking for peoples help you will get straight answers from some of these guys... what you have to do is workout who the online worriors are and who genuwinely know what they are talking about.... and if your going to get offended by anyone who says anything you dont like then dont come onto the forum, i dont know why you got angry for? and i know why you asked the original question.... because you are having doubts about your mechanics..... stick with your gut feeling and just dont drive the car unless you can afford to fix a f**ked engine..... end of the day its your choice.... PS: im sure the guys online are sorry to give their unbiased opinion to a fellow skyline owner even if he isnt an SAU member...
