  1. I was just wandering how does a r33 get flames out the exhaust????? Is it just something that happens when a shit load of extra power is thrown to it? Is it a fuel additive?
  2. only found a flare when my gf kicked it by accident, thenm sorta shit myself incase the f**ker went off in the car lol havent found anything else yet, the car was detailed before i got it I'm hopeing that oneday i'll take the door pannels off and hopefully find something exciting, like a tooth brush lol
  3. just stay standard unless your putting allot more psi into the thing..... they rated for 16psi of memory, anyway its somewhere around that mark... My r33 has a nice sneezing sound (CHHHHHOOOOOOO), I like it, also when i'm driving near a cop just let go of the accelerator slowly half a second before you push the clutch, no sound from the bov = less cop attention (or in the GTA or scarface game world less heat)
  4. I would,,,, if i had a v35...... if you need a clean r33 gts-t series 2 im in lol
  5. spotted a white r35 at cnr carligford road and pennant hills road this morning at about 11:30
  6. i'd take the 70k and get someone to do the red bits in the seats for a few $k
  7. i got full turbo back exhaust with x force high flow cat, think flow was rated at 570-600.... very good upgrade, very noticable power gain great sound.... the cat was about $150
  8. I understand why they selling the gtr at brookvale, but I dont understand the logic behind the Campbelltown one. I'm not having a go at the south west or anything but I don't think many of the gtr sales will come from people living in or around campbelltown..... I recon they should have done Brookvale nissan and Parra Nissan (central for most of the west) or a Nissan like one in the sutherland shire or hornsby nissan,,,,
  9. sorry i missed all this, when is the aus top gear on????????? I havent seen an add for it.......
  10. I agree with the performance car license, just like HR licence....... but you know the rta will stuff that up aswell......
  11. i cant seem to find hpi mags in my area either.....
  12. R35 gtr> R31 Silouette>R33gtr>r32gtr>r32gtst>r33gtst>r34gtt>R35 (those non turbo things)>r34gtr...... I think the r34 gtr was one of the more uglier looking lines from the outside, sure there good cars performance and interior, but id rather the look of a black r34gtt instead, ultimately i love the gtr r35 and the old skool r31 gts....... but im still happy with the look of my r33 gtst series 2 with gtr front.... just took this pic now
  13. make it a silvia vs skyline??? ohhh my lines only got air filter and turbo back exhaust lol
  14. i'm out, gotta go castle hill- city-chatswood-newport-menai tonight, gonna be buggered and i been told 100% chance of getting breath tested on the way to or from newport, then i'd get checked and defected at that time of night lol, but its a long day for me today and i doubt i'll be up for all this driving tonight, and dammit i want newport pizza
  15. I dont know what you do on the weekends but alarms are going off there every friday and saturday night. got a friend on surry street and another on victoria,,,, if its not getting stolen its just getting windows punched out by drunks.... its still too close to the cross, also good luck driving a skyline through surry hills and forget it if you have to go through the back streets and avoid lane ways at all cost, took me 5 minutes to get through this dip in a lane way, had to put a shit load of things under the front tyres to jack the front of the car up enough just to get over a stupid dip..... and id rather park my line in surry hills than ultimo behind the tafe, had my kia rio broken into twice parking there during the day while attending the tafe (nothing stolen because nothing was in the car idiots) also got jumped there by a junky and i f**ked him up so i dunno if he jumps people there anymore.... also just go for a walk on the streets around tafe, uts, braordway..... look in the gutters and on the street and you will see your answer as to how safe it is..... broken safety glass everywhere...... safest place in/near the city is the casino, at least they have security that will wonder through there every now and then because there looking for kids locked in the cars lol, no secure parking station is safe and no street parking is safe in the city, some drunk might jump on your car or throw stuff at it during a fight..... use pub transport if your worried about the car there....
  16. there will be a powergain but depends what cat is in there at the moment that will depend on how many extra kw you will gain, i dont see any point of just doing the cat and back, spend the extra $200 and complete the whole exhaust from turbo back. I did mine a few weeks ago, already had a fujitsubo cat back 3.5inch system, changed the cat from a 2.5inch to a high flowed 3inch ($170) and combined front/dump pipe ($200) a very noticeable gain in power and only other thing ive done is the air filter..... pm me if you wanna know where i got my cat and pipes from
  17. and how many of these odometers are genuwine?????? lol none
  18. put it on nissansilvia.com aswell, our cheaper weaker cousins....
  19. also 7000km is a long time between oil changes on a turbo skyline.... (if yours is turbo) i change mine every 5000 without fail and even in that relatively short time i can feel a difference when i change the oil that means it would be better if i did it alittle under 5000km, also i use elf oils, i find them pretty good
  20. i never had to look into this because i got my p's before the laws came out, but from friends of mine that have told me alittle about it what i gatherd is you can get an exemption if its the only car your family has and its not practical to buy another car, if you have a legit reason for having to drive it on the street (cant think of an example lol) and i think there is a way to get an exemption after you get onto your green p's if you have not lost any demerit points in the first year of driving and not had any accidents, but if you are on p's and have an accident in the car or get caught speeding in it you loose the exemption untill you get off your p's..... im not 100% sure because i wasnt the one who researched the topic, ask RTA
  21. mine came with an oiled type from japan, old one that was falling appart into my afm, i heard the same thing regarding the oil clogging up the afm and causing probs.... anyway got one of those very common apexi dry ones, it works a treat but if you dont put too much oil i can't see how it can be a problem to your afm..... also how much oil is too much??????? thats where my main prob was so i thought id play it safe and just use the apexi.... also when i researched this topic 6 moths ago i was told that cops especially hate the oiled ones because its way too different from the original nissan type and they recon they catch fire.... i also heard similar cop stories comming from the dry ones.... anyway choice is yours but i recon the apexi one is the go for a person who has less time to deal with oiling and cleaning air filters....
  22. not really mod, just cut, twist and electrical tape it..... anyway what ever suits you i guess also first time since owning the car,,,,, went to servo tonight and only paid $51 instad of $75 for a full tank, same driving as usual, still did 300km from last fill but i saved over $20 this week, i want to run it till empty but i also dont wanna have to fill up when petrol price cycle is at its peak,,,,,, petrol price was $1.50 / L
  23. boost 98 isnt going anywhre, there just adding the 100 octane version...... also they change fuels according to the market..... shell recons nobody was buying v power racing, i recon its because they only sold it at a hand full of servos in NSW and didnt tell the general public about it.... also guilt toy im going off what ive seen regarding fuel qualities in my own car, and around my area i dont have any bp or mobil servos, only shell and caltex,,, i will try mobile synergy next fill up..... anyway i recon vortex 98 is allot better than shell but i'll give the others a go aswell
  24. i have to dissagree with guilt toy, caltex isnt crap, shell is, shell is proven to burn slower and at a lower temperature than bp ultimate and vortex 98,,,,, unless newcastle gets older stocks of vortex 98 fuel and the octane level drops by the time they send it up there (and it is possible this happens).... otherwise here in sydney shell is the last fuel i'll use, also i find united Boost 98 octane with ethanol works very well..... cant wait to try united's new Premium 100 octane fuel with 10% ethanol.... also it depends on what your car is tuned for or what works best with the standard tune....
  25. I live in an area that is full of retirement villages and i got to say id rather have a p plater speeding past me than a 70+ year old man or woman with her cat on her lap, stupid massive sun hat on her head, they dont believe in indicating, dont give ways at stop signs, give way signs, follow the lines on the road, obey the arrows on the road, drive at rediculously slow speeds on one lane roads, tend not to keep there lane, or in allot of unlinned streets dont seem to stay on their side of the road and never seem to acknowledge children crossing on a zedbra crossing.... yes some p platers are shit drivers but they are learning and generally get better with age, allot of the earlderly are trying to be safe in my area but due to many other underlying problems that come with ageing they seem to do more harm than good in the area and only get worse the longer they have a lisence. I'm not attacking older people, im saying what i see every day in and around castle hill, cherrybrook areas. Its sad to take somebodies freedom of driving a car away, but it is allot worst to end a life short because of not wanting to offend a growing group of society. We will all be in this situation one day, but its part of a human beings life cycle.... also did you know cherrybrook shopping village had the most accidents per day in any area of australia in 2007? 2nd place went to Castle Towers shopping centre, 2 of these accidents were fatalities (*pedestrian), and 213 reported non fatal pedestrian accidents reported at cherrybrook vilage in 2007.... i dont know how many were caused by retired people but going off what ive seen with my own eyes my bet is on older people not seeing or not registering information fast enough.... just some food for thought...
