  1. come on guys, there were allot more people interested in the first post..... where these people go???
  2. depends what competition they have, for example my local caltex is the only petrol 10 minutes drive in any direction...... yes there 98ron is 10 cents more expensive instead of 14...... but there basic unleaded price is usually 5 cents more expensive than the others around.... so ends up being the same price,,,,,, well in the hills it is anyway
  3. yeah i dont use shell at all, always vortex 98, i used shell v power(98) once and car was rougher, less power, also helped the car stall, no joke but after usuing vpower car needed a full clean and change of spark plugs, yes these things were on the way out but when i put 3/4 of a tank of vortex 98 the roughness went away and idle got better and it ddint stall, it would nearly stall but it never did, then got sparks changed and cleaned throttle body and its perfect again...... anyway i proved to myself that i'll never use shells 98 fuel, but i wanted to try the racing (5% ethanol) mix..... oh well i'll stick with vortex 98 because i know my car runs smoother on it, i know some would argue the opposite but maybe thats how my car is..... anyway might take a drive to see how shells 100 octane is if they still have some at challora...
  4. well v power racing fuel is meant to be phased out in NSW..... im looking at a 3 month old photo of the shell petrol station on wicks road at ryde...... there seems to be a red V power racing sign underneath the fuel price sign..... but last night there seems to be a fairly new Green sign that says Vpower racing 5%ethanol in the red signs place...... i didnt stop because i wasnt driving at my gf didnt wanna waste time while i go in and ask the servo whats the deal???? also unlike the other servos that used to have v power racing they dont seem to have the sign on the vpower racing pump that say out of order...... im now wondering if anyone knows if they still have vpower racing there????? alittle strange when they would have known during the last premium fuel shortage that they were going to phase it out, but still spend money on a new sign?????
  5. ohhhh i spotted your car at castle hill industrial, at a mechanics car park or something on friday arvo, i actually slowed down and had a good look at it, very very nice car that one....... i was in the silver r33 gtst incase you saw someone sus in a line eyeing out your car
  6. well about 2 months for me,,,, i dont know if it is usual rta lead time but it was in my case, good luck anyway
  7. saw that same labo on pennant hills road about an hour ago, seen it around a few times in the last few weeks...
  8. nope its a 93 gts-t, just got body kit, custom blue paint, 18 inch chromes and some chinese made blow off valve..... looks like a toy car now
  9. nah just for interest sake...... i find my petrol is manageable, just wondering if it was possible, anyway im high flowing my turbo and boosting it up lol, i like to pollute the air.... thanks for your imput guys, now i know i asked a stupid question lol
  10. A pretty decent write up in the drive section of the paper today, it now shows the average joe what these cars are capable of (slaughtering a 911 turbo) mwahahahahahah
  11. i was wondering if an r33 turbo can be turned off or turned down when doing city driving, and turned back up when needed? does one of those pro spec b things do it????? if it is possible and not too hard to do, can it be done in the cabin???
  12. would i be able to do the warm up, then one run on normal 98 octane, then throw in an octane booster to see if theres much difference????
  13. thought id put my stats here aswell,,,, used to get 250-300km/tank in a 96 r33 gtst series 2, with caltex vortex 98octane..... driving granny style that was before with cat back exhaust and pod filter.... now got full 3 inch turbo back, highflow cat, apexi filter, new (falcon el) 02 sensor, carrying 60kg of car audio lol last week i did 400km and needle was just under the 1/4 mark. Only filled up for $65 instead of $75, got more km's and cost less to fill up so double bonus, i didnt drive it like a granny all the time either.... get a new 02 sensor, the falcon ones are only $70 and just twist the wires together and tape them up and it will save you money, i think it will pay for itself in a month..... also this is city and suburb driving, no freeways, highways.....

  16. first one to post on this day again lol I dont give my Last name out on the net AT ALL so dont take it personally, if you want you can look at my license on the day, up to you but im definately in, PM sent Thomas Kats.............. 1996 R33 GTS-t series II i'll be entering 100% 18th is a good day for me
  17. its safer to lock it in your case, $100 odd to lock it or risk having a fatal accident but knowing that you cold have prevented the problem........ unless you got money to have someone look at it (unless its a fuse) just lock it. yeah my alarm/immobiliser has a built in Turbo timer, cant see why yours couldnt be just a turbo timer hideing somewhere that has probably been off for all this time and resetting the ecu brought it back to life or something like that..... anyway nothing wrong with a turbo timer, better for your turbo if your in a hurry to leave the car, although insurance will sqeez there way out of it if its stolen and recoverd with a TT in it..... also ive heard that tt's are illegal if they are seperate to the immobiliser but dont quote me on that...
  18. i agree, i had the same problem last year, as i have menthioned before i was abit od an idiot, always speeding.... got done one day on the way to work, 93 in a 60 zone in my old car (not a skyline), 30 and over is 3 months suspension, 4 demerit points and $609 fine in NSW, drag it out to the second payment notice, then pay it one or 2 days before its due (dont forget or your rooted). I paid the fine some time in JULY, then i got a leter a month later, Beginning of end of August that my lisence will be revoked from the 27th September- 28th of December..... and Nismo boy is wrong, the process starts weeks after you pay the fine, and even longer for them to finnish the process, in my case i could still legally drive for nearly 3 months after the copper pulling me over..... for you jullion i recon if you leave in january about half of the suspension will be done while your away, so when you come back you can drive (provideing your license didnt expire while its suspended) anyway this speeding law does work, now i cruise most of the time instead of speeding most of the time, it may be an inconveniance for now, but in the future it may save your life, or at the least save you more from fines and loss of lisence lol. alot of my mates have been done aswell and it has slowed them down, appart form one who has now clocked up 12 years of suspension for repetitavely been caught driving without lisence..... also 45km/h and over in NSW can be an automatic on the spot suspension if the officer deems it suitable, ovr $1000 fine and 6 demerits i think its up to now
  19. daihatsu terrios,,,,, the skinny baby awd thing,,,,,, north rocks road and pennant hills road, turned the corner, no screetching, didnt look fast going about 40-50 ish, it was a right turn but its a main road so he had 4 lanes to do 90 degrees..... bloody thing just rolls on the 2 passenger side wheels, then the suspension some how pushed it over to make it flip flat on its top...... obvious terrble design, very high centre of gravity..... cant rate it out of 10 because ive never sat in it.... but doesnt look good
  20. but there will always be people going these speeds on the road...... i feel allot safer driving at the speed limmit in my skyline than in my rio......
  21. yeah i agree, boost can be a killer, (if you can't drive, got bald tyres, driving on a cambred road, over an oil spill, next to a 100m gorge and decide to gun it in the wet) what a stupid thing to say, i cant speak for every car, but my r33 gtst (got my license before the gay laws) comes on boost at the same time, every time, all the time, not only do i know when it will come, but i can hear it, i can feel it, and i can see it while looking at the dash........ im 22, green p's (should be off them but got done by a copper last year for being an idiot which i deserved) learnt my lesson, havent had any probs. havent had any accidents, driven many different vehicles, manual, autos, HPI's, turbo diesel vans, shit korean cars, 4.5 tonne trucks..... only had the one speeding fine, one parking fine, one transit lane fine..... NO ACCIDENTS i do over 700km/week now, on reds and first year of greens i drove everyday to the city in peak hour and home (70km round trip), gf lives other end of sydney ( 75km round trip) work part time as a courier driver for a pathology company (200km/week), so plenty of chance to have an accident.... still no accident...... the answer..... my dad insisted i did skid pans and learnt how to control an out of control car before i went for my learners..... the end result is im hear today.... story time: pennant hills road, 2nd month of driving on red p's...... a truck carrying steel rods jack knifes right infront of me, instantly i pull the hand brake and slide the (kia rio) sideways to get out of the way, yes i hit the gutter and i broke a hub cap, the "so called experienced 50ish year old driver just slamed his brakes and got partially decapitated by the trailer" this death could have been avoided if he had proper training.... i avoided it because of propper training.... if it wasnt for skid pans i would have been dead in 2005. yes i consider myself still inexperienced but i know if something happens i have a fighting chance of making it home for dinner, i have lived it and seen what can happen to anyone, once those brakes lock up your f**ked, but no body is teaching young or any drivers how to stop properly, how to throw the balance of the car out to get out of trouble....... the govenment should do more than introduce high performance laws to young drivers... I still blame the government for not training drivers properly, most people know somebody who has died in a car crash, sometimes it wasnt the drivers fault, but really the power a car has isnt going to make you have an accident,,,, hell my old kia could get up to 180 on the track before the speed limiter kicked in, any car can reach a dangerous speed so by the govenrments logic "NO BODY" should be driving a car at all....... ive always been told by a copper that the car is just an extension of the drivers body, if he drives well, the car drives well, if he cant controll himself, the car cant be under controll either... another thing is our shit roads with potholes here there and everywhere.... but i'll leave that argument for another day ive had enough venting for one day, back to uni studies lol
  22. it means there fully sick and hektik and can kick you off lol
  23. yeah he works with me, i dont really like the look of his car, he knows how i feel about it lol
