I might see if I can get out to the next street meet with the R35. I have broken enough gear doing nines in my R33 so will keep that for circuit racing & keep it in one piece! -
Welcome to the world of GTRs. GT Blue looks awesome, well done. Have fun with it. Next step is a midpipe so you can hear the engine better.................

I have just put the Michelin Super Sports on. I had a new set on my E63 AMG & they were excellent on that. On the GTR the ride does seem marginally better but they dont look quite as wide on the rims as the run flat Dunlops did. Martin was having trouble with the Michelins spinning on the dyno recently so the harder compound (500 vs 300) obviously affects the grip. On the street they feel good. Have not driven hard up in hills yet so will test them soon and see. Is always difficult comparing to old worn tyres. I had 9000km on the original Dunlops & they were pretty trashed so any new tyre would be an improvement.

Yes, the new turbos have made a definate difference to the mid range & top end. It went from 390awkw (E85 & std turbos with midpipe) to mid 400s. Willalls did the new turbos, dump pipes & full titanium rear exhaust (plus fuel pumps) in one hit & with the Michelin Super sports I fitted they were arcing up on the rollers once it got past 420awkw so we dont know exact figure. Its a massive seat of the pants improvement. I especially love the sound of it now! It has always been an awesome looking GTR in GT blue, but now it sounds as good as it looks. Loving the blue titanium exhaust tips as well. I cant pick any noticable increase in lag, although I do tend to be keeping the revs up more as I cruise because it just sounds nuts..... I haven't had a chance to get it up in the hills yet but when I do it will be brilliant. Martin, when you sort out this Black GTR I will meet you up there!

Very nice to drive this car........they just seem to get smoother & smoother! Keen to see what its like once you finish tuning it.

I am sure we will be able to find something suitable for you.................be good to catch up.

Here is a tip for you. Drive the GTR like you just stole it. These cars are awesome. The more you drive them hard, the better they are. Life is short. If you havent already, get a midpipe & COBB. Then prepare for smiles. Its funny.. years ago I sold my tough R34 GTR cause I was sick of the clutch rattling at the lights. Now my R35 makes more noises but I forgive it cause it is so good in bed.... love is blind...................... actually maybe I am just blind & should go to bed now.... haha

Hey guys, I am really keen to get out there & have a blast around the track. The last time I went I was not happy with my brakes, they were shaking a lot & felt out of balance. The GTR is at the workshop now having this attended too & while the wheels are off I have a new set of slicks being fitted. These ones being replaced are my first set & I remember how awesome they were when they were new so I can't wait to get that "new rubber" feeling again. I have owned this R33 GTR for 12 years now, but with such a long time between track days it takes me a few sessions to get "in the groove" before I can really enjoy it. Once I get the hang of it, I just LOVE driving this GTR. I will drive my R35 out to the track as well. It will have a few new mods done by the guys at Willall. pause for a minute silence for the white GTR... ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... So, while the R33 is cooling down I am going to really try to get a good time out of the R35 (with the $@%#$ tyres that are on it) This is going to be a bit of fun. It is so heavy compared to the R33 but will have awesome power so be interesting to see what it does. I am pretty bad with names, but make sure you come up & say hello on the day. Other than the "raffle" winner I may decide to do a few other passenger rides so dont be shy.... the worst I could say is.......hop in! Also, check out this link posted by a radical owner. The Blue Radical following is my brother Daniel's which he is bringing out to this tack day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKxWt0D4Q30 After this race, once my bro got into the groove he caught him & passed him!

Survival of the fittest, haha. Very true.......... This is why these track days are so good. Plenty of action in the morning. Everyone out there having a go. As the day wears on, the inevitable battle scars start to take their toll. Street tyres are starting to melt. Normal brakes are feeling the strain. Cooling systems & fuel systems start to feel the pressure. The better your driving gets, the less the car wants to keep doing whats its told. This is what it is all about. You just cant drive on the street like this............. By the mid afternoon, those "still standing" will have the track almost to themselves. (Thats why my brother is bringing Radical SR8 out!) He got stuck at the last "practice day" with a bunch of retarded organisers that made him go out with cars doing 2 laps in the time he could do one!!! Sure enough, there was a crash on the main straight & someone went to hospital with a tyre up their ass 'cause they didnt see a "blue flash" coming from behind............ Drive to your ability, & if a faster car is coming, get the hell out of the way.............. It is going to be a great day, I am looking forward to catching up with everybody. Some of the fastest laps dont happen till the end of the day, so for those that really want a thrill, hang around. You might get a passenger ride if you are lucky!
-
My brother would like to come out with his Radical SR8. I have sent PM. It has 2 seats but you do not want a ride in this - real sick bag territory...........
-
The R35 is having a few "tweaks" before this meeting so will be interesting to see if it can "bring it" to the R33. R33 will have new set of slicks & has been tuned for E85 so hoping for a good day. BTW. The passenger ride will take place BEFORE lunch. I am not keen on getting the car messy! These days are a lot of fun so come out for a run if you can................

Excellent, now...........how do we get 1/4 mile happening in Adelaide?
-
Another freight option is the RV transport companies like openica logistics. The Perth caravan show is on soon & lots of trucks will be running across with vans on. If you can jag one that has 2 small ones on & they have room for a car as well you might get a good price. I bought my new R35 from Sydney & drove it back myself to Adelaide. After having this R35 for 8 months, that is still the best drive I have had in it so far! Definately got more chips/bugs than if it had been on a truck though!
