  1. Feedback welcomed re topic ? Any reason for lack of interest i'm missing ?
  2. Just asked, 130xxx odd km's, mostly motorway driving. Still have original cluster and the jdm sti cluster was bought with very low km's on it. Also please note the major 100,000kms was actually done a fair while ago now. The first post info was mostly copied and pasted (from an EOI ad long time ago). Forgot another mod - twin fuel regulator.
  3. Sorry i don't know how to edit Forgot to put in, owner will happily take a neat r33 or r32 coupe gts-t as part payment.
  4. Hi all, Helping my bestmate sell his car.. As follows -2002 Subaru Impreza WRX wagon in silver -Great condition, always serviced with quality fluids (Royal Purple and Castrol) -All work done by IS Motor Racing -100,000 km service recently done with genuine Subaru parts Lots of extra goodies.. as follows Fujitsubo RM-01A cat back exhaust (street exhaust, not loud loud, very nice sound) X-Force 4" dump pipe MetalCat High flow stainless steel cat MRT up pipe In other words, car has full turbo back exhuast in addition to the up-pipe (part of the extractors sort of..) which removes the restrictive factory up pipe with cat. IHI VF29 Turbo STi top mount intercooler STi bonnet scoop (same silver factory paint) and splitter ARC Induction/Intake box (also have a spare APS in-guard intake) Zerosport inlet pipe HKS double fire step colder racing spark plugs Sard 650CC injectors MRT Billet Aluminium Injector Rail Walbro in-tank fuel pump Perrin lightweight crank pulley Factory ECU remapped through ECUTEK @ MRT GReddy Profec B-Spec II boost controller Cusco coilovers (bought new, specifically engineered for the wagon) Cusco sway bars Cusco underbody brace Cusco Strut braces F/R Brembo brakes F/R from 04 STi RDA slotted rotors F, DBA conversion rotors R Bendix Ultimate pads all round Rays Volk RE30 wheels 17x8 with Rays wheel nuts and centre caps. Wheels are a dark bronze colour. No scratches whatsoever. New Advan 048 semi slicks.. ARC pulley cover ARC radiator cover Perrin radiator hoses (Black) 05 JDM STi cluster (Defi) Defi BF triple gauge pod (Boost, Oil temp, Water temp) GReddy turbo timer STi floor mats (they were cheaper than the WRX ones lol) STi front grill Mesh foglight covers (black - unpainted) That's roughly what's on the car. All installed. Please note almost all stock parts will come with car too, and some uninstalled aftermarket parts too such as Perrin Silicone turbo inlet hose, a unichip to suit the car. And a few extras such as roof racks (Subaru) and some other small unused parts. I can personally attest to the car's performance. It really moves, the brakes are very impressive, and the handling is poo your pants scary good. The best thing is there's not much turbo lag as you can tell from the mod list that the car has been setup to be balanced and have as little lag as possible while still making good power (hence a VF29 turbo upgrade). 24K as is, or 19k without the wheels and brakes (factory items refitted). Any questions, ask me! More pics as i get them.
  5. RNP kinda wrong place for the V.. it's way too big for inside there. Have fun guys!
  6. Scathing, Currently chatting an R33 gtr owner about possible trade lol..i'm trying! xscape, Having the impul ecu is more reason to flash it imho. The impul thing would be tuned for japanese 100 or maybe even 104 octane fuel..meaning it's most likely pinging with aussie 98octane fuel. One particular ex v owner i know of had the impul ecu too and got it flashed. While he got pretty much no power gain, it also completely removed his pinging problem. If you had a factory ecu..could've used the american uprev/osiris system if you didn't want to remove eprom chips etc but not sure if it will work on the impul ecu. GL
  7. Thanks for the replies and thoughts guys! $35K was what i had in mind as well, though i'm not sure i can advertise it anywhere near 40k lol. Scorp, I know what you mean. The V hasn't been the daily for quite some time now. Only reason i still have it is because i absolutely love the damn thing lol. I did toy with the idea of FI but supercharger instead... but with that amount of torque, i'll be wanting awd hence the gtr. Like Scathing said as well..it just doesn't compare lol. (have always liked n/a best as well..so another reason). Xscape, I'd love to keep the V as a daily lol but can't afford to anytime soon. Mortgage and need to start thinking about another place for the missus and myself. ECU flash involved removing ecu from car, soaking it in a solution for 2 hour to open, then a further 2 hour soak to remove a glued eprom chip, which is then replaced with a new unit. Then new data is written to it using software. AFR, ignition, speed limiter and rev limiter are all changed. Pretty sure thats how it goes. From what i know, the american solutions work too which are obdII based. Scathing, Yes i know.. lol. I think i will do it.. only live once!
  8. Hey all, Been thinking about this one long and hard. Originally bought the car for a daily nice cruiser with a bit of poke. Then did some mods to it to make it more performance oriented. Now i've got some junker old beater for a daily and saving up for a better daily..the V is only a weekender and hardly at that. I hardly drive it and almost never the way i want to drive it (e.g. only going to visit olds or get some maccas on the weekend/nights). I am very happy with the way the V is atm and there wouldn't be much left that i would want to do to make it perfect for me. But with it not being driven much now, i can afford to have something less luxurious/more sporty stashed in the garage.. and i've always wanted to own a gtr (who doesn't lol). So do i sell now.. it seems manual V prices are commanding around the 30k mark. Or do i keep it. If i were to sell, i'd either save up a bit more and get a 34 gtr or get a 33gtr when the right one comes along and put a bit of money into maintenance/preventative mods. Lastly, anyone willing to give a roughish figure on what i should advertise it for if i do wanna sell it ? It's an 03 coupe 350gt 6spd, white, 59xxxkms, serviced meticulously, factory sunroof, premium, front lip+splash guards, aero kit (spoiler, zero lift), factory navi system/tv, brembos + lsd Mods are roughly kakimoto exhaust, filter, z tube, plenum spacer, ecu flashed, new hks plugs, nismo thermostat, whiteline f+r swaybars, 350z 35th anniversary springs+shocks, trw lucas pads, rays gramlights 57s f8.5 245, r9.5 275 both +22 and rays long wheel/locknuts. 182rwkw (same power as stocko gtrs on my mechs dyno, the v does pull nicely). Opinion/feedback welcomed obviously lol. Note: i can sell as complete stock (except exhaust) or with all existing mods. So the price with all mods i would rather reflect this. I understand mods generally don't do jack squat, but there is always someone out there willing to pay the right price for something set up ok imho. Also if i were to sell, in no rush so i'm not gonna advertise it at market bottom price or lower. Cheers.
  9. I'm not so sure these can actually make it open 100%. More of a open quicker/faster and also opens more than what the factory map would at a preset throttle position so it seems the car has gained response. Happy to stand corrected but from what i've read and understand, if you just press on the throttle of a car quicker and harder, same result.
  10. I use to get it a bit with my first car (fto.. sporty looking i guess) but the v35 gets no attention at all, it's great! I've owned it for 1 1/2 years now and i honestly can't think of one time where some random tried to start a drag. Oh crap spoke too soon, ok once in 1 1/2 years still ain't bad right. Stupid aurion.. Though i don't drive it much these days as i've kept it for a weekender (and hardly at that, quite sad). I guess the fact that some people don't consider the V's as proper skylines coupled with the fact that Skylines are famous upto and including the R34 shape helps as well...no one really knows what the V is, or cares lol.
  11. Hey all, Changing jobs soon so no more need for this car. 1990 Holden Apollo SLX (Toyota Camry SV21) White manual sedan, 206xxxkms The good -Recently changed oil and oil filter -Recent new spark plugs -Recent new air filter and carby cleanout performed -New muffler -4 new quality tires and alignment -Recent new clutch -Panels straight (carpark dents here and there) -Interior very neat for age (no cracks etc) -Pioneer CD Player and ok speakers (for a runabout) -Ready for 6 months rego with NO pinkslip inspection, perfect for temporary spare car/runabout The bad -Engine drives with a loud ticking noise at a certain throttle position lol -Engine isn't the smoothest -Oil leak, engine keeps going though. Bought at 194xxxkms with same leak -No air con/power steer (pov pack model) Only asking for $600. Available for inspection at Hurstville area Sydney. Contact through PM please, cheers. Pics from when i bought it 9 months ago
  12. White! Because it's pearlescent and cooler in summer! Black = swirls galore lol. You can pay to get them removed but if you don't know how to wash a car properly, you'll only put them all back on within a couple of washes. Apparently white cars have a better resale value too ?!? Was told that anyways.
  13. More details please Pm me if you'd like. Cheers.
  14. Oh bum! Ah well saturday it is! Hrmm haltech copgyback...never looked at that option myself, i went with a reflash. I've heard good things about the haltech line of stuff though
  15. How'd it go Robbo33 ? My tune only netted me peak 6kw atw i think, mid range was MUCH better though and no more gay 6600rpm rev limit now...feels like a totally different car. Oh and no more pinging whicich no doubt affected the power delivery (ECU constantly adjusting ignition etc).
  16. Well really it all sounds about right. A stock V will do the quarter in highish 14s i think. The skoda will do a low 15. The SS ute will be low 14's and the DC5r should be around 15 flat. Then the question of mods and engine spec (coupe has a few more kws and torque than sedan) and transmission/driver ability comes into play too. Some US G35s can do high 13's with a fair few bolt ons. A good target imho, considering it's n/a. Faster than most stock sports cars on the road but still useable.
  17. Some hawk pads on the brembos would be nice. Available from US suppliers. As for oil, i'm using royal purple. Nissan filter. Running new nissan coolant too.. apparently the nissan coolant is good stuff.
  18. Yeah that's what i've read and what my bestmate experienced. He saw 20kw+ difference between CRD and ISMR. On another forum, some members have seen 15kw diff between CRD and UAS. Doesn't really matter though..if it drives to your liking then it was worth it right I'll imagine after the tune, it should pull pretty sweetly! Let us know how it goes.
  19. Shouldn't be hard to pull a good figure on CRD's happy dyno! Sounds like some well thought out nice mods there, goodstuff. GL on dyno, let us know how it goes
  20. I had ABS problems too but different to what you're experiencing. Though it may be related.. i cleaned the ABS sensors on the front and no problems since. Use a wet rag to clean the sensors then jam a bit into where the sensor sits and use your hands to spin the rotor so it cleans the rotor surface too, you'll have to do this a few times as there is alot of gunk in there. If no go after that, you might need to do your rear sensors. Not saying this is the solution but it was for my abs problems and hopefully it works for you (easy diy fix). GL. Ps. A guy on G35 forums had same abs issues as me and this fix worked for him too. Took us ages to figure it out lol.
  21. Looks to be a gorgeous mint GTR. Goodluck selling! (Guy with the V)
  22. What symptoms is it giving telling you it's overheating ? Don't forget the V/Z runs really hot from factory. Perhaps it's the thermostat that's faulty. Flush the cooling system and fill with Nissan Coolant (really good stuff apparently). Add in some Motul coolant treatment while you're at it if you'd like.
  23. Far =/...no that's heavy duty assault lol Thankfully none managed to get inside mine. Too pedantic, i'd spend the whole night trying to clean it out. Maybe go chuck a car cover on it Chris ?
  24. manda23, I think awhile ago we discussed your mod plans in Pm's.. ? Anyways, those mods should normally net some form of gains on a V but like i said, with your impul ecu in place...your car may behave differently to another with the normal ecu (ignition timing leading to knock sensors going off for example). Also, the V like most modern cars tries to determine the mood you're in. If you're doing normal grandpa driving, the first time you give it a good footful, it won't feel particularly fast. Takes a few goes before the ecu realises you wanna move somewhere fast and changes accordingly. I've noticed this on my V on many occasions. As for the sound, if you have kept the stock airbox, the sound should be same below 3000rpm or so, you will notice above this the engine will sound a bit more rough/loud.
