  1. Thinking of going this wednesday. Be nice to grab a high 12 with my car...doubt it though. Will be my first time at the drags and have tire sympathy (considering i only put them on not long ago).. need to get an ebc with gain control too. Be good to hear a gt-r running 10 heh! Might see ya there - i'll be in the silver 33 if i get my butt there.
  2. Welcome and there's always a few nice gts-t's for sale on this forum. Liking your car and wheels too. I had the same set of wheels but in 18" for my v35 which i sold almost a year ago. Question though...if you're selling to get something newer, i don't think a gts-t would be the way to go. Most gts-t's are quite old too and alot are still demanding-ish in terms of maintenance and replacing stuff. Maybe a gt-t would be the answer? I know i sometimes get sick of my 33 needing attention (but love it in the end haha). Goodluck.
  3. Very keen, couldn't pm you. inbox full? Please PM me cheers.
  4. Hey all, have a greddy emanage ultimate with universal harness for sale. Hardly used and removed due to going standalone. $500. Thanks.
  5. Check justjap, i know they have manifold studs and might have turbo studs. Otherwise maybe Garrett or was it GCG in sydney.. Hypergear from this forum?
  6. Standard position with a z32afm, pod adapter one end and stock standard turbo inlet pipe on other end but with that reinforcement ring in it (to stop it sucking shut...which some people claims don't work).
  7. After some more searching, it seems option 2 would be the way to go. Hope this helps someone. As from this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/351472-catch-can-install-is-this-the-right-way/page__p__5639763__hl__how+to+install+oil+catch+can__fromsearch__1#entry5639763 Sorry guys, don't know how i missed that in my previous searches.
  8. As per thread title and description, i'm installing an oil catch tank into an r33 rb25det and was just wondering which of the follow two below configurations would be better? I'm aware it can be done better with extra fittings and 3 hose connections etc, but that can come later. So anyways, option 1 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=113477 And option 2 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/uploads/1215299925/gallery_14648_2253_90681.jpg Sorry couldn't insert images, i tried to copy the image URL but the forum wouldn't let me attach it with the particular extension Couldn't find too much info on it so curious which would work better and why. Thanks!
  9. *Looks at his own 33 with boot/rear strip and sub/amp* In my defense, it's a very small/light system focused on quality rather than spl.. the sub's only 10" in a small enclosure.. I just love my music too much! (No it's not doofdoof)
  10. I'm keen to try out a big brake kit on my car. I'm actually running the setup couple of guys have mentioned being the dba4000s, pads (i'm using project mu pads atm), steel lines and high temp fluid but i still find the braking lacking. Tires are KU36s which as some may know, gives insane grip in the dry for an S compound. Hope this feedback helps.
  11. For a rwd car, in general people change the front sway bar first to increase rear traction/decrease front traction. If you increase the size of the rear only, you will end up with probably better body roll control but also less drive/traction coming out of corners as you may start to lift the inside rear wheel giving much less mechanical grip available. It will also change the natural understeer tendency more towards oversteer first on limit in general. So my guess is no? Unless you were chasing some specific handling behaviour or bug in which case you would be much better off with an adjustable sway bar.
  12. Option 3: Bargain hard on the built one, get a good deal then get a standard strip down done and refresh the engine with the money saved. An engine refresh won't be too much especially if you can do a bit of it too plus if the motor's already been built recently you can just resuse the pistons/rods etc etc. You'll probably end up paying slightly more this way than the standard non built one, but then you have the knowledge and guarantee that the engine will be fine if your mechanic is good. Don't forget the non built standard one is still afterall a 10+ year old motor that was built as a sports/fast car..it very likely hasn't had an easy life. You buy a sports car to drive it sportily or even harder. Paintwork can come later, take care of mechanical stuff first imho. Besides it's only a keyed jobbie, you can get some properly mixed/matched colour and touch up the mark till you're ready to get it done properly. Or if the key mark is not even that deep, a propfessional detailer will be able to get rid of 90% of it, making it so to see it, you really need to get up close and look at the spot/know it's there.
  13. Postage for dump pipe and heatshield to sydney ? Will take pending postage. Thanks!
  14. I've got dual air horns and don't think it's too loud...i'm very wary of using them though as it seems to get everyone's attention lol. Certainly let's idiot drivers know they are idiots!
  15. Thankyou Krayzie32 again for the pipe, much appreciated
  16. Thanks for replies guys. Yeah i might have to do that if i can't get my hands on one though of course i would much prefer an oem piece. Will be tricky to patch it up as from memory the pipe is hard as it slips onto another one coming from the inlet manifold (least i'm pretty sure). Anyone wrecking a 33 and have a spare?
  17. Hi all, Urgently after the oem pipe/hose whatever thingy from the idle stepper control valve to the J intake pipe. I have attached a pic below and the piece i need is surrounded by dodgy paint red outline done with a touch pad lol.. After one in good nick please - mine decided to split. Got a few friend's events coming up i kinda need the car for. Preferably pickup in sydney.. i'm in the st.george area and can come grab it later tonight or tomorrow morning etc etc. Reply or pm, whatever you fancy. Thanks.
  18. Thanks guys. After speaking further with my tuner, we will try and tune my car with the current 550cc's on. I explained to him i'm not looking for a boost increase along with using e85..just looking for gains from timing and cleaner emissions. My turbo is at the end of it's efficiency range anyways. Plan is to fill up some jerry cans with e85, run the car till the petrol light comes on, pour in 20L of e85...do an extreme rough tune so i can cruise around and empty the tank then fill up with e85 and do a proper tune. The only question that remains is how to deal with Caltex going from e70 - e85 etc. Might just do the tune on rozelle's e85 then fill up with caltex and see if the car still runs ok.. i think.
  19. I thought it was right.. Shaun mentioned e85 at caltex has the least ethanol during winter (where it's really more e70) to help with cold starts? Just did a 2nd gear WOT check for injector duty on the pfc hc and saw max 69.4% so i've got 30% headroom...just enough for the e85 tune fellas? There's a nismo fuel reg if it's slightly shy i guess but i'd probably prefer not to run it right on the edge.
  20. Ah ok thanks for that. Maybe it'll have to be e70 then as i'm not that close to rozelle. Addtionaly, spoke to my tuner today and he said i'll need larger injectors..he was recommending 1000cc I would've thought my 550's were enough..setup below anyone care to shed some more light on this? I can see there are previous posters making around 300rwkw on 550s or 555s. rb25 (bored to close 2.6) all the usual bolt ons and ported head, gt2871r turbo (equiv to gt-rs). tomei 550cc injectors, bosch 040 mounted in tank and nismo adjustable fuel reg. Is my tuner correct or is he on crack lol? If he's on crack...anyone recommend some places in sydney. I get the impression my car will be the first e85 rb25 he tunes though i know he's done a fair few evo's with e85. Was quoted $600-$700. Oh, car is currently 245rwkw @ 1.25bar. Little confused now..
  21. Anyone done a test on the caltex flex-fuel lately? Going to get an e85 tune done on the car but want it done on e85 not e70. If i have it right, from what you guys have posted, it should be e85 now yes? Cheers.
  22. Hey all, After some factory r33 gts-t bits -rb25 spark plug cover with bolts -exhaust manifold heat shield and bolts -the motors (both) for the windscreen wash reservoir -1 x front door speaker mount -a black oem/oem like gear shift boot After items in working/good condition please. Prefer around sydney pickup, in/nearby st.george area would be awesome otherwise we can work out postage etc. Please pm me cheers!
