  1. I'm running AD08's at the moment. My clapped out 4WD system probably doesn't help so you most likely have a fair bit more traction than I do. If it doesn't bog down and just gets up and goes them I'm sure all is well.
  2. Hold the hand brake and slip the clutch a little just before you let go to build boost. If I can bake all fours with 300kw slipping at 5000rpm you should have no dramas.
  3. Throw it in the bin
  4. You'd think 44K would include everything in that picture. That's about what my complete car owes me haha.
  5. Or just move to Altona Meadows. Not sure if it's still that cheap but it was 3 years ago.
  6. I just use one of these and then have a small bag with all the other bits and pieces. http://www.totaltools.com.au/hrd-126-piece-socket-spanner-set-sse1412126hrd_1024465/#.VSxaivmUdp8
  7. Sounds about right. I think I'll stick to the west for now.
  8. How far out would you have to go in the east to get a 5 bedroom house with a double garage on a 600sq block for under $400K?
  9. I don't think the HKS gear is too popular in Aus as it's old tech but still expensive. There are better, cheaper options out there these days. Maybe try something custom from Hypergear if you're willing to go that way.
  10. Maybe just have a look through the RB26 dyno thread and have a look when all the turbo's make power and make your mind up from there. I wouldn't say -5s are extremely laggy for the street but if you don't want to wait for that extra 500-1000rpm or so to spin up the -9s are the way to go.
  11. I'm pretty sure JTCC mentioned he only wanted around 450hp in another post so the -9s should be fine for that. Unless you're looking for more power in the future I wouldn't bother going bigger than a -9.
  12. Maybe you just need more power or to go up a gear. More wheel = speed more smoke.
  13. Don't the Mspec's come with leather too?
  14. Mate of mine is building an LS1 for his S14 at the moment and decided to have a look at the stock throttle body and manifold last night and saw there is no point going a bigger throttle body as the inlet manifold mouth will be smaller. You don't really need to touch that stuff unless you're aiming for 350-400kw+. Another mate runs one of those big tunnel ram looking Edelbrock manifolds with a big throttle body and still only makes about 320kw but fark me it sings.
  15. My cousin and mates have had their fair share of LS1's over the years and with a little over 300kw and stockies on the back 4th is nothing. I'm not saying they're a power house but they can lay a decent skid.
  16. I thought they would have been second? Did the yanks take that place?
  17. Who came 3rd?
  18. Also interested in enabled functions and where abouts are you located?
  19. Just don't down Dallas Buyers Club and you'll be right.
  20. I'd probably do the same thing but since the OP already had the Power FC I thought he might want to stick with it. There are plenty of better ECU's out there but there is nothing wrong with the old Power FC.
  21. I'd start off with a full once over over the car. Change all fluids and replace all worn bushes. If the motor is healthy leave it. Go with a set of -9's (GT-SS) and a decent exhaust. Cam gears, injectors, fuel pump, afm's & a tune should get you close to 450hp. Other than that, a good set of tyres and maybe modify the transfer case for some better 4wd action. Some nice brakes too if you plan to track the car and have some spare cash.
