  1. The carbon boot and doors have not been put on yet, they are the steel boot and doors fitted at the moment for the photo shoot as the steel panels give it a nicer finish and the lines are much cleaner. A drag wing still has to be made for the carbon boot and lexan windows for the doors. As for the bonnet painted white, the police up here in north queensland love white cars with black bonnets, and we are trying to keep the car hopefully off the radar and registered for as long as possible, because when we get pulled over in this thing we are gonna be f**ked hahaha!!!!!!!!!
  2. Update time, at the end of this week the car should be just about be finished, doors should be on tomorrow and the glass was glued in yesterday looks awesome its all coming together now, also put the tow hook and carbon front diffuser on today. Here's some pics.
  3. Ahh yeah getting there Kingy, the 33 should be going sometime this year hahaha!!!!!!!
  4. Here's this weeks progress, the paint has come up awesome after a sand back with 1500 & 2000 grit sand paper, looks a million bucks (for back yard job anyways). Next week the outside of the car will be 90% complete, the glass gets glued in on the 6th and the doors and side skirts still have to be sanded and polished and put on. The car is well and truly on target for the 25th of June, Scotty the photographer for HPI will be down on the 24th June to do a photo shoot of the car as it rolls out of the shed for the first time all new and freshly painted, before we go to the car show on the 25th to put the local falcodores in there place and hopefully punch out some good figures and a f**k load of smoke. The Advan AD08's will have a very short life indeed. Heres some more pics: The Carbon N1 Lip being glued on with a bit of help for some tape.
  5. Something that's worth mentioning is putting Filter/screens on all your scavenger lines as a bit of extra security, because if you do have a engine failure the pump will suck up the metal into your $1000+ pump and fair chance it will die aswell. I have them on my dry sump set up Peterson make them.
  6. All the big guns are coming out too, just been another confirmation today that the old Yellow Shark R33 GTR from Autoselect is coming and racing open class.
  7. Depending on the width you go will determine the offset i have 18x10's Gram Lights 57F Pros in a custom +20 Offset fitment is awesome. If you went like a 10.5 inch +12 or +15 would be good.
  8. Wow looks like thats gonna be a serious weapon, can't wait to see that in action, looks great and i love the selection of parts, i noticed the Nitrous setup on it, we may run nitrous injection sometime in the future just to get a few more ponies out of it. We will defiantly be at Jambo this year, went for the first time last year and loved it, gonna make it a yearly ritual. We will have to catch up down there for sure, keep up the good work .
  9. Hey Guys Just putting it out there i'm gonna go to the World Time Attack Series on August the 5th and 6th at Eastern Creek Raceway, is anyone else interested in going. Cheers Benny
  10. Wow a lot of whinging and bitching going on here, I was looking at the Nismo Kit for my GTR, I only really wanted it because the standard GTR box i have is now out of its comfort zone for the power levels it will be pushing and the Getrags are a lot stronger. I'm not afraid to spend money on my ride because at the end of the day i don't give a flying f**k what people think cause my cars make me happy. If old mate wants to start off with a GTS and wants to but a 6 speed in it, then i say good on him, he's trying to have a go, not everyone knows everything to begin with when they maybe new to the scene, but thats all part of the learning curve. I had some pretty crazy ideas when i bought my first skyline, and by the sounds of it some people are acting like they are paying for it out there own pocket (f**king tight fisted dream boats). Fark i just spent $1100 on a titanium strut brace and no one argued with me, i bought it because i like to different and stand out of the crowd and know one in Oz probably has one. Its the same old shit fight on this forum someone puts forward and idea they might be thinking about doing and they get shot down in flames, i know i've been there with my project cars forums but at the end of the day, i think my rides are unique and special and anyone who has a problem with it can fark right off and go eat a dick. Alls i can say to Nathyns r33 gts is keep up with the research and i'm sure you will find the answer and then you can make up your mind on which route your gonna go with. If your not to worried about the coin then i would say the R34 Getrag is your best bet (well thats i would personally go with) and welcome to the scene don't let these pricks give you shit and good luck and happy modifying.
  11. tell me about it. ahahaha - You're comment "Smashing your face in" is a f#$cken classic. Its funny because its f#cking true. Dude - And you know what? All those losers will be eating dicks, and well, they probably already do. This car is a weapon, and you guys have come so bloody far with it. well done for sticking to your dreams. Looking forward to seeing and hearing it hot 10,000rpm. I can still remember your dad talking about that. Saying that it will not be doing anything less. Determined. And good on him. Cheers Jono, dreams are funny sons of bitches they don't come cheap hahaha!!!! I hope i doesn't disappoint anyone but there will be some jealous smug prick that will disagree with everything we have done and if it does disappoint they are welcome to settle it on the blacktop lol, its funny cause my old man will have a heart attack if ever hit full boost whilst behind the wheel, it was funny enough watching him run out the dyno room when it would back fire and make loud noises. I just hope my lil brother doesn't put it into a wall or some shit, he's had the most drag experience in GTR's so far even in my R33 he's had like 10 runs in my car and i've had 2 (WTF i'm too generous). Its a big step from going from a 500HP GTR that we haven't driven for 6months to a 800HP GTR gonna be some arsehole puckering lol. Even on its lowest tune, it has a 21psi waste gate spring in it, it will still pump out 700rwhp and we haven't weighted the car yet but it would have to be around 1250-1300kg so power to weight is not to bad either. As for the 10000rpm we have only revved it to that a few times because this engine is so efficient it makes full boost at 6500 and by the time it hits 9000 its past its peak torque, but i'm sure the crowd will wanna hear some 10000rpm action cause i'm sure hell want to.
  12. Yeah the old air bags can f**k ya up, especially when your not expecting them to smash your face in, I wish you a speedy recovery man Dads car is coming along pretty good had a few little mechanical drama's 1.the power steering wasn't working and 2.exhaust manifold was leaking and couldn't tell where. So we spend 2days fixing them turns out the power steering pump we bought was completely f**ked internally so we just had to steel the one of my r33 for now. As for the exhaust leak we pulled apart the turbo, manifold and everything, cleaned it up and slapped her back together and now its fine. It should be all back together in the next few weeks. Scott Paddy a photographer from HPI Magazine is coming down on the 24th of June to do a shoot on it just as it rolls out the shed, he said he wanted to shoot it all brand new before we go and abuse it and i think he's gonna stick around for the car show the next day. The next few weeks are gonna be exictiting can't wait to see what finally gonna look like it's nearly been 3 yrs since we started this project and can't wait to show all these f**king arseholes in mackay and even some of these dip shits on SAU that have been bagging us out, telling us our goal is ridiculous, they can't all go eat a dick and hopefully chock on it. I hope all the skyline guys and gals can come out that weekend and support us, as a RB screaming at 10000rpm will not dissappoint lol plus it will pump out a fair bit of smoke to .
  13. Yeah hoping to have it sorted out for jambo, if it doesn't compete we will just take it up for everyone to look at and maybe get Mark to give it, its maximum tune 1000awhp would be awesome to have lol.
  14. Sorry to hear about Jono, i feel for ya man very sad indeed
  15. I had cusco arms on my R33 GTR but after awhile of some hard abuse the the Rear Upper Camber Arms Cracked quite badly both sides, and my front cusco castor arms aren't much better, i have bit the bullet and replaced all my arms every single one with the whole entire Ikeya Formula Catalog. Yes they may be expensive but you get what you paided for and the build quality is awesome very solid bits of gear, thats my opinion anyways.
  16. Not Long now just letting the paint cure for a few more days then its time to put all back together, the paint job came up pretty good for a back yard job, at the end of the day its just a race car, its bound get a few scratches in the heat of competition. The coilovers don't quite go low enough for the perfect stance but its still looks pretty damn shit hot, can't wait to see how mean it will look with its full kit on. Here's some pics of the awesome bee R skirts.
  17. If you copy the pullers off the Nissan manual its a piece of piss i got Mackay harbour engineering to copy some of the pullers and punches for me, and its not that hard at all the dog box in the R32 will be 10x easier than a synchro box. Hey Jono why stick with the 2wd's, GTR's are the way to go i'm glad i got rid of my GTT i will never go back to 2wd skyline its a waste of time, yeah there good for getting sideways but thats it anything over 280kw and there just as useless as your local falcodores, just my opinion but a 600hp GTR is awesome in everyway!!!!!!!! I found a orginal 69 GTR in japan the other day for $55,000 landed in Oz but my tight arse brother wouldn't go halves with me, now that would be the ultimate thrusday nite cruiser.
  18. Hi I'm chasing the two rubber air con lines that run from the firewall to the compressor and the on that goes from the compressor to the condenser. Will pay top dollar for them, also if you know any wreckers they may have them give me a yell. Cheers Benny
  19. Hi Guys The R33 will not be ready for tnt anytime soon. Also just to let you's know my old boy and Dave from CPV Performance have gone to the Palmyra Drag Committee and we are getting a Car show organised for the 25th of June at the drag strip to raise money for the club. The car show will consist of a Show n Shine Comp, a Dyno Comp (two wheel rolling dyno 1100hp). and a Power Skid Comp (not to be confused with burnout comp). We have also got a Bikini comp lined up as well. Now there will be three catagory's 1.Best Holden 2. Best Ford and 3.Best Import (Import meaning anything imported into the county rice burner's, euro's and yank tanks), and there is a lot of prize money up for grabs. This will be the debut for the R32 Drag Car at this event, as we are on track to have the car complete in the next few weeks. Now we are waiting for confirmation but Mark Jacobson form Godzilla Motorsport said he would like to fly down to be there for the first outing of our R32 and help fly the flag for the mighty GTR's, We were planing to have all Models the GTR's lined up but my R33 will not be ready, we were gonna have Our R32 N1, My R33, Kingy's R34 and Grants R35 all lined up would have looked awesome. Anyways advertising should start soon for the event and can't wait to see our R32 destroy everything that crosses our path hahaha!!!!!!!
  20. For some reason Titan don't want to talk to use so stuff them there loss if they don't want our business
  21. Yeah hahaha i have raped the poor Americans at MVP Motorsports have bought everything through them so far!!!!!!!
  22. Done a bit of work to the car today, all the wiring is pretty much sorted, installed a innovate AFM Gauge today and put the new Bride Floor Mats in. Have ordered the Bride Material for the back seats yesterday and should have that next week, then i'll pull the back seats out to get re-trimmed in black leather with red stitching next week hopefully. I Also mounted my new Billion Power Steering tank and decided to put the original Nur Front Cam Cover on aswell, piss that shitty carbon one off. Here's some pics:
