midrange torque and power have improved but I am not sure the top end is that much better off currently, still working on it. Maybe Trent can chime in as I havent seen the latest graphs. who knows, might be a different turbo setup in the future. doors are for weight savings. going for custom carbon door cards and dash to try and knock off another 60kg. also replacing glass

The Racetech seats were too heavy! when you are chasing weight savings every kg counts. sent them back for these Carbon beauties from OMP (HTE Carbon series) which are half the weight of the others. installing tomorrow...

ok, so I know a lot of people are interested in weights. so far the car will have lost about 125kg with the following mods: lightweight fibreglass bucket racing seat, both OEM seats removed interior including airbags but excluding dash and door cards removed CF bumper and Aeromotions wing AP rotors 18 inch forged wheels and michelin slicks I am hopeful we can find another 100-120 kg to remove before adding the cage.
  9. sorry to the guys I know who read this forum whose cars I didn't get pics of. We were either running in the same group or my pictures of your cars were woeful and not good enough to publish!
  10. Seeing as there is a NSW supersprint series thread here, I thought I would start a thread on the Queensland Raceway Paul Ruzic (SAU sig MountainRunner) WRS time attack series. The events are well organised and are a credit to Paul and all the guys who regularly help out on the days. www.TimeAttack.com.au These track days are great fun and have a diverse range of cars and lap times throughout the field. The next track day is on the Monday 23rd of August at QR. I wouldn't miss it for the world. I thought I would start off the thread to show those guys in other states what sort of cars are running. I dont have many pics at the moment but will update info and pics as I get the chance. The track sessions come around so quickly that I don't have much time behind the lens! as a result the pics are mainly form the one spot near my car lol.

I agree with both Duncans. I have been increasingly concerned of my own mortality. You can keep pushing the limits in this car so far and it feels so safe but as Duncan says, even if you keep within the limits of your experience, you are traveling so fast into and through some turns that all you need is one critical equipment failure to turn things around real fast. Especially if you are punishing the car regularly and therefore more likely for something to go snap. I am getting a full cage at the end of the year, and have the boys at mercury trackside as well as inspect everything pre/post track days.

Probably about 60-65kg dry Surge tank will allow us to run a lower wet weight at the track A lot more yet to come out
  18. damn that HKS gear looks nice. the intercooler and carbon ducting combination is a work of art is Drew coming out to QR on the 23rd? I would love to see this car go for the GT800 upgrade!

not considering anything yet. would be difficult with this style of bumper. when we strip the car at the end of the year we might look into it further.
