  1. some guys in the states have actually sent pms to get the details of the 'flame thrower kit' I am using, so wasn't sure! As for the rear bumper, it may do, but in reality it will only occur on the track on changing gears at which time there will be more airflow behind the car. the artificial environment of the Dyno room isnt helping!
  2. No flame thrower kit. Just no cats. It happens when you come off the power due to heat / unburnt fuel. It is not related to a rich tune either which is another misconception.
  3. your whole car warranty cannot be voided by a single mod. advice on the forums and internet is not worth much in a dealership or in the law courts but in general if the non-genuine part can be identified as the cause for the problem under warranty claim (eg: turbocharger problem or something even slightly related to the exhaust) then nissan may not honour your warranty, even if it is BS. if your aircon stops working or a suspension component fails of course nissan would find it hard to refuse warranty for the sake of a midpipe. I would say you would be very unlucky to have a midpipe or catback cause a problem that will void a warranty claim but it is conceivable so do so at your own risk. I might add though that you would be hard pressed to find an R35 on this forum without at least a midpipe these days!

Yes but I am very choosy with my clientele Trent.

    R35 Build

The car does bring out the kid in me. Track days are addictive in this car, which was the catalyst for all that has been done.
  6. Awesome day Trent! Justdave photography gave posted some pics here http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index....howtopic=600826
  7. lol, we are just simple banana benders. Although I am sure Duncan doesn't need me to tell him, for everyone else its 475 kW at the wheels

  10. also, a special thanks to Martin from Willall Racing for his help during the build
  11. Thanks Drew, we will have some fun tuning the suspension setup next. aeromotions R2.two wing and top racing front bumper coming by the end of month!
  12. Trent, John, Gordon and the lads at Mercury have been working hard the last few days on and off getting the tune on the car right. I reckon it was the cream buns for smoko and firebreather pizza that I got delivered around lunchtime today though that sparked some true Mercury genius. I think I'm going to have to buy the boys pizza more often.

    Exhaust

best bang for your buck in titanium is the willall. As you probably know though there are plenty of titanium exhausts on the market for the R35. this site has a pretty comprehensive list, some are asking crazy prices. http://www.gt-rr.com/finder.html?category_...p;category_id=6 Mercury Motorsport at Newmarket Rd wilston have done all the work on my car and several other R35's now so they are very familiar with them and would have no problem changing the exhaust for you (they actually custom made my 4 inch exhaust in SS). Speak to Trent, he should be able to source a Willall titanium system out for you and fit it.
  17. Depends on what you want to spend. Midpipe only is a great addition. A Cobb access port would finish it off nicely
  18. Might be a JDM I think?
  19. Well done Dunc. Must be very happy with that result!
  20. Hi Stuart. They were Nissan Aus vehicles so I guess they are stock, just going full pelt!
  21. agree. everyone is talking about all sorts of variables but I cant get over the drop on the rear passenger corner, something major wrong there. I wouldn't be investigating wheel or tyre setup until the suspension has been thoroughly inspected. sounds like you are a serious driver so might as well look at a full coilover setup while your at it. Lots of people have gone for JRZ and have had very good results. I have used MCA. good first up results even with suspension being only crudely setup for my first track day on it, much work with tuning to come.
  22. he acts more like an italian than a german. all the wild gesturing after the incident at the The land of goat sphincter rings GP, overenthusiastic when getting pole. all a little bit too emotional. he needs to learn some manners and try to gain some respect. I hope Webber smashes him in a big brotherly sort of way.
  23. 15mm lower on passenger rear! That definitely isn't right. are the spring/bushes ok?
  24. I hope both you and the car are ok. are you running VDC in 'R' mode or 'Off'? I know there are a few R35's doing the rounds at EC with stock suspension. I'm sure Dunc (LSX 438) will be able to share with you his experience. Stock suspension though is very good, it has lapped the nurberg in a very quick time! I would be concerned your alignment is out or there is some damage. Before I modded the car the fastest corner I took in it was only 135-140 and that felt quite easy (no big sweepers here at QR, yet to get to Lakeside). If you are looking for a suspension upgrade I now have MCA coilovers installed and at QR up here the car handles superbly through turn 1 at about 150-160 (with slicks) if I really nail that corner, and is a cake walk if I pussy out and log 140 through it. I drive in 'R' mode for now though as I get used to my new setup. I also run whiteline antiroll bars front and back, set to soft for now which is still stiffer than stock.
