  3. I just got my iPad, so hopefully it will run off that also. I do hate being the bunny and paying a margin for things when I can avoid it. I was hoping this would provide a better interface than the COBB for tracking and monitoring track temperatures but haven't a clue how it logs it yet. Will give it to Trent to have a play with down at mercury whilst the car is in his shop and see if he can find a genuine use for it. otherwise it is just a cool gadget.
  4. yes but i wonder how many hours at $XX.XX/hr labour and $XX.XX in parts it would really take to make and then ensure it could talk with an app and be neatly packaged? if i had the time or expertise i would. i get paid more to do what i do so will stick with that if you can beat $170 US a piece and make a profit for your efforts then you have yourself a business!
  5. I couldn't help myself. wont be able to play with it though for a while as my car is up on stands for a fortnight getting some mods

Thanks Martin, Looking forward to getting the oil pan, tranny cooler and the turbos!
  16. Thanks Stuart Stock 20's were ok getting on the hoist but lowering the car onto the 18's required the ramps due to about 10mm drop in ride height
  17. I know martins tranny oil is good but if you are going to change out to see if it solves the problem don't waste your money on the nissan oil - try the pentosin ffl4 product (buy it from BMW - get the 20L container). search for the pentosin thread I posted a while back fro the product details you will need to quote to BMW. about $18-20 per litre. once you have trialled this oil and assessed whether the problem is still occurring you can change back to the Willall fluid without having wasted your money on OEM fluids.
  18. thanks Duncan. only went with this set up after you had done all the hard work trying various wheel/tyre combo's i would recommend the CCW for anyone who is interested in 18 inch track wheels and is concerned about brake clearance

Starting the build on my car today with Trent and the boys over at Mercury Motorsport. The plan is to build a more competitive track car (I have radicals, mad EVO's and porsche cup cars to deal with in the local time attack series, all of which I would like to be nudging a bit harder). Unlike these cars though I will be driving the R35 to and from work and the track. Mods coming over the next few weeks include: Power: Harman motive intakes and intercooler piping AMS intercooler Willall turbo kit Custom dump pipes and 4 inch exhaust Walbro fuel pumps ID 1000cc Inj Cooling: CBRD Radiator Willall oil pan upgrade Willall Front mount transmission cooler Suspension: Custom MCA fully adjustable suspension kit Hi Octane front upper control arms Whiteline front and rear sway bars Wheels and Tyres: 18 x 10 CCW wheels 27/68/18 slicks Hope to have this ready for next time attack day though I am sure it will be a works in progress for some time to come as we fine tune the setup. will provide updates as we go
  21. offsets works well up front. will be tucked in at the rear. I reckon I will need a 15mm spacer but will wait and see. plenty of brake clearance, tried to demonstrate with backlight as I know many of you are interested
  22. having major upgrades on my car starting tomorrow with Trent at Mercury. great guy, good service. also have had my R35 in with Dan from ERD. great guy. would trust him with the car but he is a little too far away for me (inner north)
  23. saw this on NAGTROC - Wireless access to the OBD port with the iPhone sure you can do all this with a COBB but this is a pretty nice bit of gear. http://www.ot-2.com/overview.html
  24. I presume it is whilst gaining revs and helps the revs climb beyond 2000-2200 to make more like 4000rpm prior to launch sounds interesting though, I presume it is only a partial release pump of the brake to stop it from launching before you are ready!.
