  1. hey John, they are 10 inch wide with 6.6 inch backspace - bit rough to convert but maybe +27mm?? welcome to try them on anytime if thats close though with the times your car is getting already i dont know if I should!
  2. Yes, will be good to catch up. A few of us track our cars regularly now so would be good to get another owner out there!
  3. Afternoon session
  4. Yes, from the inside of the rim I can almost slide my little finger all the way between the caliper and inner barrel along the entire length of the caliper
  5. Car not under load so should tuck in..... daily driver wheels not under load for comparison of offsets. slightly more aggressive but hopefully will fit with tyre on rim! guess I will wait and see!
  6. 18 x 10 CCW C10 wheels anodised black seems to be reasonable brake clearance, more than 6mm at its tightest offsets difficult to judge whilst suspension is not under load but should be aggressive without sticking out too much by my estimates, fingers crossed for when the slicks are mounted and the car sitting at ride height.
  7. yes because us R35 drivers have no skill - the car does all the work and we cheat by having flappy paddles and computers- remember that
  8. Stuart, you looking for an edge? June 15 at QR will be interesting if Trent has the car ready! I'm sure he would be more than happy to 'enhance' your GTR also. Druzilla, you should get out to the Paul Ruzic QR time attack days, would love to see more R35's there - and would love to see what yours could do with the mods.
  9. yes, it was very poorly handled. I have never received an invite. My dealer was clueless. pretty ordinary. I called wednesday morning after seeing this thread and all spots were taken.
  10. Whose going? I might come down for it.
  11. price drop! all four rotors and front pads $1500 the lot.
  12. Dunc, great news and well done. I take it E85 is available at the pumps down there? how much can you get it for? anyone know if there is any difference to the E85 used around the country or does it all come from the same source and is it all rated the same octane? We have to import it in 200L drums up here so not cheap.
  13. video comes straight off the memory stick as MPEG4, though you do need a free codec on windows and itunes to play. I trimmed it in Quicktime (I use apple) so maybe the youtube client doesnt like some quicktime formats and therefore lost the sound?
  14. when my bank account recovers from the front bumper purchase and other mods I am getting this wing!
  15. Yes, stock rear wheels with toyo 315 wide rubber mounted on front so maybe 285 rubber and camber might get close!
  16. Apparently Amuse uses stock rears on fronts. might not be so bad with a tad more camber and 285 tyres otherwise, PWJDM wide fenders
  17. I am a rank amateur and have little experience behind the wheel but damn this car can get you around the track pretty quick. I have got most of the video Vbox lite sorted but lap timing still not working on the video, though the data analysis lap timing/splits etc works a treat. there is no hiding from driver inadequacies with this thing tracking you! sound was lost on youtube upload for some reason... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaL5BhbEtJE
  18. well after 30-33 5 x hot lap sessions at QR, the Toyos looked to be shagged. with the COBB stage 2 tune I managed a 57.68 on the sprint today on the toyos. I reckon they are at least as good as the Dunlops will be going out on the track with 18's next time and either second hand michelin slicks or RE55. have the slicks here so not sure if I will buy the RE55's - they aint cheap!
  19. guys, any particular things to keep in mind when trying to run with VDC off. sounds like there is more to it than switching it off at the panel from the above post? I will be running the latest COBB stage 2 tune at the track with 20 inch toyos tomorrow (which are on their last legs I reckon) and was going to run VDC off as I think it is occasionally cutting in more frequently than previous when giving it a bootful on the street
  20. will get the calipers out and check the rotor thickness. took them off because they are worth so much and i am tracking my car regularly. cracking is only an issue if you are tracking the car. they are the stock r35 rotors off my car.
  21. I will see you my R35 cross drilled rotors cheap if you like. no hats though send me a pm if interested otherwise I have AP rotors. they are great
  22. hi Adam, only just saw your post I can't get to your article on the iPhone I thought dry carbon = prepreg by definition
  23. hey Martin. Agree, there is much to be learnt about the R35 suspension. I am no expert thats for sure. I am pretty sure however that Murray's experience can speak for itself, I don't need to defend his expertise as he is regarded as a leader in suspension setup in Australia I doubt his comments on JRZ were aimed at selling his own product. You are right about the lack of testing, hence why my R35 will provide feedback and data to MCA and will help them make any adjustments required to the spring rates and/or shock valving, further refining the overall product. All of our on track testing will be conducted under the supervision of Mercury Motorsport, and dealing with local companies (MCA and Mercury) provides access to limitless combinations of shock setup and springs, along with personalized, on-track service. I am a big fan of using local expertise and products, which is why we are seriously looking at using some of the Willall gear when we get round to my build a the end of the month.
  24. all the best Gibbo. sad to see it leave your possession!
