  1. finally got my harness plates installed. neat job in the end. Great option if you dont intend on having a roll cage or harness bar in the back. Plate bolts onto the rear aluminium bracing across the rear of the car as in the picture, and once the parcel shelf is back in place it is very unobtrusive.
  2. I have curved slotted AP rotors and MX72 pads. No noise at all (yet). first full day at the track with them tomorrow so will let you know after that. J hooks apparently reported to be noisy. carbotechs noisy ++. but thats the trade off then i suppose for track performance. what mix of street/track use do you have planned?
  3. just finished fitting the AP curved slotted rotors and endless pads. vsport were very good thanks Dunc. Both Gary and John were great. Tony from speedmaster was also very good. I think a shipment of the endless pads is expected from Japan some time after the 24th Feb (they are out of stock currently - I think most vendors will be) If inclined, installing the rotors and pads on all four corners was relatively simple though I took my sweet time (this was my first time ever working on brakes so took me a shade under 4 hours from car up to car down) I was a little OCD, certainly would not make any money as a mechanic working at that pace!
  4. And some pics of Martins Willall water cooling system. hope you dont mind martin? pinched from your posts on NAGTROC
  5. Anyone currently using or considering any brake cooling packages? air/water/both? Anyone with experience on brake cooling and what works for the amateur? Pics of the Willall sytem also. Much more info yet Martin other than what is on NAGTROC? Anyone know what the AP/Stillen active brake cooling kit is? Slip you got yours yet? here are some pics of the PWJDM front lip with ducts. nice. have referenced some images from GTRBlog and PWJDM, thanks Kris.

    Tpms

hmm, will see. week and a half with no error. the error code from the faulty tpms in the separate set of wheels in the garage used to come on daily, now none. That sensor was not installed correctly and was found free, rattling around in the wheel for a week until I could work out what the sound was so I think the error is due to physical trauma.
  8. congrats to you as well

    Tpms

Correct! Do you get the error usually with your 18's without tpms?

    Tpms

what is odd though is one set of wheels driven for a week now has no TPMS. I might be away from home for 12 hours or more on occasion and have driven for a couple of 20 min trips in the meantime. you are corect though in assuming the second set is close by, maybe 5-6 m away from the car. I take it if I got a second set of tpms for the track wheels that these would have to be paired up with a consult III and that tpms sensors are not swappable in the way that different bluetooth devices recognise phones in order of preference and availability? I am not sure exactly how they work and neither are the boys at my dealership. Anyone now of a cheap place locally for TPMS by the way? I know of an ebay international vendor that sells them but wondering if any available locally
  11. Martin, how is the brake cooling upgrade going?

    Tpms

Have swapped out my HRE wheels (which have the TPMS installed) for the stock wheels (which don't have the TPMS installed) about a week ago and have been driving around since. one of the tpms sensors in the HRE wheels is damaged and always throws an alert I am not however generating an error code for the set of stock wheels which do not have any sensors which I find unusual (not complaining) what does everyone get when they put on their wheels without the TPMS normally?
  20. c'mon guys who cares they're shit hot and go like the clappers
  21. give taleb a call, you may be surprised
