The stock transmission oil pan was removed for the first time today ready for the Willall pan. About 10,000km use, 9,000km of which was on OEM transmission fluid. 1000km and 3 track days on Pentosin FFL4. Only one transmission oil change at 9,000km. The oil pan has never previously been removed nor the magnets ever cleaned before. Magnet with metallic shavings/sludge. not magnet pulling metal filings off my fingertips! Used flash in one pic to bring out the metal content better. The real test will be after the next oil change and pan inspection.

Not sure except to say it is built for the purpose of calving rear exhaust sections.
  10. I'd hate for this to turn in to a 'I told you so' shit fight. Duncan has kindly provided plenty of detail in trialling many motorsport parts. Feedback like this is valuable to everyone in the SAU community. If people limited feedback to only positive outcomes then appropriate decisions would be difficult to arrive at. He went to what I would think were acceptable lengths to scrutinize the rim's quality. I hope the answer lies in using forged rims as this is the path I have taken with the CCW C10, though at more than three times the price of the rota rims mind you. The 10 spoke pattern of mine has rather thin spokes so I hope they hold up to track use with the slicks. Thanks for the honest feedback Dunc. Keep the lap records coming.
  11. My confirmation email from Renee stated that you just needed to present to the gate and if you had rsvp'd your name would be on the list

There have been some pm's regarding the exhaust valve. We will be using a 4 inch electronic remote variable valve, I think it is this one from memory, Trent might recall exactly. Will update when installed (videos and pics)

Exhaust just about there. rear section is pretty much complete except for the variable valve to the straight through section.

Canon 7D With limited lighting options in the garage, limited time for acquisition and only minor tweaks in iPhoto, it is remarkable what this camera can do.

couldn't get the CBRD radiator due to production lead time PWR however have a local radiator upgrade at a good ol' aussie price!
  24. took me a while to man up and forget about the warranty. things have never been better since.
  25. i don't recommend you get one. you might accidentally take it to the track. then you will want different tyres and upgraded brakes. the suspension will start to seem inadequate and then you will eventually want more power. soon after (if you haven't already) you will want to start lightening it. aero mods will of course pop up for which you will want the best front splitter with brake ducting and a GT style rear wing, likely dynamic. you will want to monitor your performance which will then lead you to drop a bundle on some fancy data logging device. Eventually you will want even better tyres and further brake upgrades. the suspension..........
