driver will be losing some weight too. about 5kg of sympathy weight gain during the wife's recent pregnancy. 5kg off me probably saves me about $5,000 worth of carbon fibre!

thanks! as for what we will be looking to do: wheels and tyres (track setup already inplace but the above weight is with the street wheels) seats (remove passenger seat, racetech bucket seat for driver) Battery surge tank (purpose two fold - we maxed out the walbro's and allows running less fuel) stereo, interior trim, carpets track exhaust setup CF panels (as the budget allows) then maybe other creature comforts/doors/dash and sound deadening if I can make the tough decision to go mental or not on such a nice car.

ok, the car weighs in pretty hefty but htat won't suprise anyone. 1734kg without driver, empty tank and without the rear wing (Aeromotions R2.two about to be installed). this is with the 20 inch HRE's and Bridgstones on them, they are about 0.5-1.0kg per corner lighter than stock. will see how we go over the few months getting some weight off it!
  9. buy now if you can afford to buy with cash. a fair chunk of the depreciation has already occurred so the price drop will only be incremental by comparison. if you wouldn't be able to mod it now after paying cash, drive it stock and mod later. why deny yourself the pleasure. a golf is a poor substitute. 3 of my mates have GTi's, they are the new corolla.

Thanks chris, the setup is awesome. I can't wait to see the fine tuning. For those that don't know I got Chris to hook up my video box system and output it to the multifunction display. Works really well and is quite practical for car setup/monitoring at the track. All the wiring and cameras have been nicely installed and wiring hidden so there is no fuss when heading out to the track or running it on the street. Currently in hospital with wife for the birth of my 3rd kid and only son (he is a little champ!) so won't be till early august that I get the car back out on the track with some more tweaks, can't wait!
  14. I see your point snowy but I reckon everyone is sensitive as webber really does stand a chance at winning the title. If vettel had an insurmountable lead over webber then I could understand the team decision better, however it is not the case. Vettel is not a clear winner out of these two so therefore in the spirit of racing both deserve all the support the RBR team can manage.
  15. "not bad for a number 2 driver" lmao
  16. haha, lets see that front wing make up 2 minutes

    Gtr $182,000?

congratulations. that run in period should be just about enough time to order and receive a COBB access port and midpipe if you get on and order one now.

  20. haha, its Bills R35 with the Aeromotions R2.two wing. Active aero. all for go at the track, not for show! I have one coming soon also
  21. I ended up pouring my money into engine and suspension mods instead. I do have the top racing front bumper and aeromotions r2.two coming, though these are more track focused aero mods.
  22. Talk to slipR35 on this forum or Martin from willall. They have imported some pwjdm gear fir slip's car last year

About 20 hp, mostly due to turbulence caused by having it shut rather than extra flow through the side without the muffler as the magna flow muffler is straight through. When closed there is a dead space in the closed section that likely creates turbulence at the y junction.

Im in brisbane, dont know anyone in Adelaide sorry
  25. you dont need to do a retune, but a COBB stage 2 or Mail order tune form Willall or similar will maximise the benefits. Once you reflash the ECU however nissan will start flapping their arms more than with just the midpipe/catback. For those that live in SE Qld the Mercury guys have the COBB tuning software to provide custom tunes. otherwise people have had good success with Martins Willall mailorder tune. A custom tune will give you just that little bit extra in most cases from what I have been told.
