  1. Had a blast out there today. This was my favourite session on the clubman track at QR.... Thanks to Trent, Gordon and John at Mercury for all the support on the day. When I first came to Trent I told him I wanted to be hammering the porsches through the corners, the straights and everywhere else. not a bad team effort guys on the first day out. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" />

    Murray Coote suspension.
  3. would be good to see you out there Darren. Maybe in August?
  4. lol, thanks Darren. I edited the post with the times included as you were replying. 55.67 on the sprint and 58.12 on the Clubman at QR Thanks for the getting me onto the second hand slicks Duncan, they worked a treat.
  5. The new wheels and 27/68/18 second hand michelin porsche cup slicks worked well today. As did all the other mods Trent and the boys down at Mercury have been frantically finishing off for today. more on that some other time. here are some pics of the wheels on at the track. Just over 3 degrees camber, about 15mm lowered. no rubbing. 55.67 on the sprint and 58.12 on the Clubman at QR

Awesome Trent. Wished I was there for it! I guess I will just have to cope up here at Mt Tamborine without the kids. Tough call between the two though lol.
  7. Will had his offsets the same all-round to suit the rear, so therefore about 15mm out at the front. This set up is to suit the front, as a result the rear will be tucked in a bit but surprisingly not that bad to look at, will wait to see how they perform Tuesday, weather permitting.
  8. Stock suspension/control arms were on in that pic. Maybe a bit lower than stock though as the wheel was taking disproportionately more weight with a wooden chock under it
  9. Toyos will be mire expensive than the bridgestones or dunlops anywhere you look. Best quote i received for all three makes were from Taleb tyres. A bit better than your price and that included delivery also. Ask for Mick
  10. Duncan here are some shots from the front and rear, maybe a few mm out of the guard but will probably tuck in with camber and lowering. John at CCW will make any offset so room to move.
  11. I have recently purchased custom forged mono block 18's from CCW in the states (Complete Custom Wheels is the company name) They fit very well with the custom offsets and have good brake clearance. they have been in use in the states for time attack and similar Motorsport series for many years, and for over 18 months on an R35 GTR I have the same second hand slicks mounted on them as Duncan has. Will be testing for the first time on Tuesday. Duncan is aware of all this but as always he is carefully considering all the best options before leaping into any purchases, which is well advised considering the costs. These rims are US$700 each ( which was better value when I purchased them a couple of months ago thankfully)

Dunc, car still up on the hoist. engine going back in today and suspension on saturday so will know more beginning of next week. These control arms were used by an aussie GTR that visited the Nurburgring i think? though I have only received this info second hand. I am not sure which car they were on though. Maybe someone out there in the SAU motorsport community knows more?? will give a report next week when we have the info for you.

will be good to catch up Stuart. the car will be without the AMS intercoolers most likely as I doubt they will have arrived. We will be running a pretty conservative tune. Should be fun!

Pictures don't do the exhaust justice... it is even more beautiful when seen in the metal. The boys down at Mercury have really done a fantastic job. Cant wait to fire it up.
